Earth Island Institute (EII) was founded in 1982 to confront the threats to life on Earth. EII supports environmental initiatives, celebrates emerging youth leaders, and inspires citizens to engage with their community and the environment. As a fiscal sponsor to a network of more than 70 environmental projects, EII provides counsel and training for new and seasoned leaders, and builds effective environmental organizations.
