With the season starting, now’s a great time to brush up on basics: grip, alignment, short game, and preshot routine. Early practice often pays big dividends later in the season. Reach out to the golf pro shop for instruction.

Rules Tip of the Month:
Stroke and Distance Relief (Rule 18.1)
Under the Rules of Golf, a player
Golf Shop Hours: Monday-Sunday 7am-6:30pm
can always take stroke and distance relief. That means:
If your ball is lost, out of bounds, or you decide it’s in an unplayable position, you can always play another ball from where your previous stroke was made, adding one penalty stroke to your score. Even if you have other relief options available (like dropping near where the ball entered a penalty area), you always have the right to go back, hit another ball, and take your penalty. It’s a reliable “reset button” when you just can’t find a better play.
Certain courses may have local rules where there may be exceptions to this rule. So, check with the course you are playing beforehand.
The keyword here is always — there is no condition or circumstance that eliminates this option.
Thank you all for your support. Fairways and Greens!
