Back to School GLOW Party! Saturday, August 6 5-9:30pm | Swim Park The season is almost over and it’s time to go back to school! We want to throw a special party for all our school aged Residents! Event will include a live DJ, Airbrush & Balloons, Food Trucks. When the sun goes down we will be passing out glow sticks and lighting up Swim Park!! The Snack Bar will be open and will be serving a limited menu.

Please see the following revisions to our guest pass and grandparent policy Guest pass policy Effective immediately we will allow 6 guests per family per day, previously the limit was 4.

Grandparent policy Grandchildren 18 and under are welcome anytime to all the pools, when accompanied with their grandparents and no guest pass is required. Grandparents are required to stay with grandchildren at all times while at the pool. The total number of guests allowed at the pool per family per day is 6. Grandchildren are counted toward that total number. Grandparents that do not live in the community and are

watching grandchildren that live in Eagle Harbor while parents or guardians are away are welcome but must be on the guardian log. Adding a grandparent to the guardian log must be arranged by the resident through our main office at Waterfront Park, Monday - Friday, a least 48 hours prior to the visit. The guardian log is only for times when residents are not accompanying their minors to the pool. Grandparents will be required to use a guest pass when visiting with the family on all other occasions when the parent or guardians are present. If a unique situation arises that is outside our policies please contact the EH Aquatics Director at least 48 hours hours prior to visiting the aquatic facilities.

Kids Clinic Tiny Tots is for ages 3-6 from 4-4:30pm on Mondays and Wednesdays. $8 per child per clinic.

Orange Ball Developmental Clinic

Juniors ages 7-10 from 4:30-5:30pm on Mondays and Wednesdays. This is a great way to introduce your children to tennis. It is a fun, educational clinic that teaches them the game, eye hand coordination and of course how to have fun playing. $15 per child per clinic.

Tournament Level Clinic is for juniors ages 12 and up from 5:30-7pm on Mondays $20 per child per clinic and 6:30-7:30pm Wednesdays $15 per child per clinic. This is for the intermediate tournament level kids. (must be approved by a pro to attend this clinic)

Teen Tennis Clinic

is for beginner juniors ages 12-18 from 5:30-6:30pm on Wednesdays. Hot Shots Hole-In-One – Ray Wensell Hole #4 at Eagle Harbor Ray used a 9-Iron to ACE the 4th Hole appropriately on July 4th !!!!! The shot came from 117 yards and everyone enjoyed celebrating with Ray on this great day!

Getting to the Golf Course and Playing Well – Stay Active and Warm-Up Every golfer would agree that a golf swing requires a certain combination of movements that depends on the flexibility of muscles and joints. Even an activity as simple as walking on a daily basis can keep your swing intact well into your senior years.

By Dean Grunewald You could obviously perform other exercises too, such as strength conditioning, biking, etc. The goal here is to stay fit and active because, after all, golf is a sport that demands physical exertion. Another commonly neglected habit is to skip warming up before the round of golf. The routine includes exercising and stretching. You could also come to the golf course a little early for hitting some balls. Start with your short iron first, then mid-iron, and finally get some drives up in the air too before you embark on your golf journey for that day.

Choose Your Golf Clubs Very Carefully Do you know why Tour-grade golfers play so remarkably well? Well, no denying, it’s partly because they’ve worked REALLY hard to get to that level (putting in years and years of training of course). And partly because their golf club shafts have been tailored accordingly to fit their game. Likewise, customized clubs, no doubt, can allow other types of golfers too to gain the upper hand. Shaft flex and overall clubhead weight should match each specific players swing speed and strength to get the most out of each swing.

Choose the Right Kind of Golf Balls Too Even the golf balls you include in your round of golf matter a great deal. Because it only makes sense to not buy balls that someone like Dustin Johnson or Lexi Thompson would use. Instead, seniors should be choosing lowcompression golf balls. What a low/soft compression rating does is accelerate ball speed even on off-center shots. So even with a slower swing speed or miss-hit, you can achieve the performance you desire with your every shot.

Repair tip of the month There is nothing like a fresh set of grips or a new SuperStroke putter grip to change your feel for both the swing and your ability to deliver consistent contact from club to club. Many styles of common grips we keep supply of in the golf shop and they can be changed overnight. If your grip style of choice requires us to special order them almost all styles will come in within a day. Stop by the golf shop today to see the staff to get your grips freshened for the hot summer season.

EAGLE HARBOR What Can You Do? Each of us plays a role in the continued beautification of our community. There are many simple and inexpensive ways in which residents can make a big impact. Following are just a few: • Don’t put trash cans/bags or lawn debris out until the night before pick-up. • Always blow off driveways, walkways, etc. after performing lawn care. • Don’t blow debris into storm water drains. • Trim hedges regularly, keep landscape beds weed-free, and remulch when necessary. • Trim overgrown tree branches and

remove dead palm fronds and other dead vegetation. • Store temporary items such as, lawn chairs, garden tools, bikes, and play items out of view when not in use. As Eagle Harbor continues to mature, regular exterior maintenance may need attention, such as: • Pressure washing – house, a/c screen wall, roof, and/or driveway • Painting – house, a/c screen wall, and mailbox posts • REMINDER – In accordance with community documents, Article IV Section 1, all exterior changes/ improvements (including color changes) require prior approval by the community Architectural Review Committee (ARC).
