Benefiting Children from Kids First of Florida Starting: Friday, Nov 19 Pick an Angel at Clubhouse Gifts Returned by Sunday, Dec 12

Step 1: Stop by The Clubhouse and pick an angel off of the Angel Tree. Step 2: Call or stop by Waterfront Park at 904-621-8362 / 1685 Lakeshore Dr. N. Step 3: Present them with your Angel Tree Number listed above (Ex: #10) Step 4: Staff will then take your information and provide you with the Angel’s wish list Step 5: Fulfill all or some of the wish list

Step 6: Wrap/place all gifts in a large gift bag Step 7: Attach Angel’s wish list and name tags to ALL gifts Step 8: Return gifts back to Talons Christmas Tree • Angels are all minors ranging in age: infant to 17 years old • If you choose an Angel: You must be willing to fulfil all or some of wish list no matter the age/gender • Please do not open and return to tree to pick a “better” one

These special gifts are all most of these children will receive for the holiday. If you are willing, we are counting on you as a sponsor to fulfil this wonderful commitment. The Angel Tree benefits local boys and girls from Kids First of Florida – an organization that fosters more than 500 children that have been removed from abusive homes in Clay and Baker counties. Gifts must be received NO LATER than 6pm on Sunday, December 12th to ensure they are delivered before the holidays. Thank you for your donation and making a difference in a child’s life this season.

9th Annual: Holiday Light Parade & Tree Lighting Ceremony Sunday, December 5 at 5pm Parade Lineup at Swim Park 5:45pm SHARP Parade Begins at Swim Park, ends at Clubhouse 6:30pm Tree Lighting at Clubhouse

Participate in the Holiday Light Parade! Celebrate the season in the streets of Eagle Harbor and show your holiday spirit by decorating your car, float, boat or golf cart. Participants should be at Swim Park by 6pm for lineup. The Parade will begin promptly at 5:45pm. Spectators are asked to watch the Light Parade from the Parkway. PLEASE NOTE: Eagle Harbor Parkway will be temporarily closed during the parade. Due to the nature of a night parade, parade participants must ride in a car, float or golf cart. Walkers and bicyclists are not permitted.

Parade, make your way to the Golf Club for Eagle Harbor’s Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony! Our huge tree will be decorated and displayed outside of the Clubhouse at 6:30pm watch the tree glisten as thousands of lights come to life!

Show Off Your Talent in the Gingerbread House Competition! Create a Gingerbread House masterpiece! Age group: Kids: 6 & under, Kids: 7-12 & 13-Up. All masterpieces must be dropped off at to Talons between 2-4pm & picked up by 8pm on Sunday, December 5.

Santa & Mrs. Claus are Coming to Town! Sunday, December 19 | Beginning at 12pm Santa & Mrs. Claus have carved out some time right before Christmas and have requested a special afternoon stroll throughout Eagle Harbor. Santa & Mrs. Claus with the help of some Eagle Harbor elves will be driving through many of the neighborhoods to wave and say hello to residents’ young and old before they take off for the North Pole. Holiday Light Contest

This year we are asking that our neighbors join us and light up Eagle Harbor with a friendly Holiday Light Contest. If you would like to participate and submit your house to the competition – Call Waterfront park by Friday, December 17. We will be supplying a list/map of all the homes participating in the contest. Our staff & residents will be driving around judging all participating homes on Thursday, December 23. Winners will receive prizes! Winning categories vary: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Most Original/Creative, etc. Residents can vote for there favorite homes by submitting their vote to corik@eagleharbor.info. Call Waterfront Park at 904-621-8362 to submit your house for judging and to be entered into the competition.

Neighborhood Luminaries Thursday, Dec 23 LIGHT BY 6:30pm Luminary Kit pickup will be: Wed, Dec 22 & Thur, Dec 23: 3-6pm at Waterfront Park.

Help us “light the way” as we judge the light competition and transform our neighborhood into a beautiful winter wonderland! Luminaries typically consist of a votive/tea light candle (battery powered recommended) placed in 2-3 inches of sand inside a white paper bag. Participating families line the street in front of their house and if desired, their driveways and walkways, too! The luminaries are usually placed about 3 feet apart. Residents are welcome to supply their own luminaries, or you can order luminary kits from us! PRICE: $1 per kit. (Each kit includes: 1electric tea light candle, sand and white paper bag). *Determining how many luminaria kits you will need is entirely up to you, but we recommend at least 10 for the front of your house. Kids Clinic Tiny Tots is for ages 3-5 from 4:00-4:30pm on Mondays and Wednesdays. $8 each child per clinic. Orange Ball Developmental Clinic is for juniors ages 6-10 from 4:30 -5:30pm on Mondays and Wednesdays. This is a great way to introduce your children to tennis. It is a fun, educational clinic that teaches them the game, eye hand coordination and of course how to have fun playing. $15 per child per clinic. Green Dot Intermediate Clinic is for juniors ages 10-12 from 5:30-6:30pm on Mondays which focuses more on stroke production and rallying. $15 per child per clinic. Tournament Level Clinic is for juniors ages 12 and up from 5:306:30pm on Wednesdays which is for intermediate tournament level kids. $15 per child per clinic. Teen Tennis Clinic is for beginner juniors ages 12-18 from 5:30-6:30pm on Wednesdays. Jacksonville Area Golf Association (JAGA) Golf Scholarship Program Eagle Harbor will be accepting donations in the golf shop for the month of December. The JAGA Charitable Trust, established in 1974 has awarded over 300 scholarships to deserving college students, totaling over $1.8M. The initial award has grown from $250 per year to $1000 per award for up to (8) terms of undergraduate study. Your support is greatly appreciated!!! HOLIDAY DÉCOR The holidays are just around the corner, and your HOA hopes that everyone has a relaxing, memorable holiday spent with family and friends. In effort to keep the neighborhood looking its best, and streets clear vehicles, debris, trash cans, etc., there are a few things to keep in mind: 1. Outdoor Decorations: Decking the halls with seasonal ornaments is a great way to bring the holiday spirit home. When planning your outdoor lighting & lawn decorations remember holiday décor should add to the beauty of your home, not detract from it. Also, please be cognizant of your neighbors by ensuring that all exterior holiday lighting is turned off by 10pm each night. After the holiday, all exterior holiday decorations should be removed within thirty (30) days, and the home returned to its original state.

2. Parking: The holidays bring many people together, and that means extra cars will need to be parked. When parking guests please make sure roads, sidewalks, neighboring driveways, and mailboxes are not blocked. Also, ensure cars are not parked on either side of the street or directly across from one another, this causes potential emergency hazards. 3. Overnight Guests: It wouldn’t be the holidays without Uncle Marv and Aunt Ethel bunking in little Jimmy’s room. Of course, you might want to check out the covenants and restrictions Article V Section 10: Vehicular Restrictions to determine what types of vehicles are allowed within the community. If guests are staying longer than a couple of days please make every effort to clean out your garage so that additional cars may be parked there as well as in your driveway. This will help keep streets clear and reduce possible traffic accidents.
