29th Annual Red, White & Blue Parade Monday, July 4 | Line up at 9:30am | Parade begins at 10am SHARP! Fleming Island Elementary & ends at the Swim Park There is no better way to celebrate Independence Day than with a spectacular Parade!

Calling all Residents!! Get creative and decorate your bicycle, motorcycle, cars, golf cart, trailers or boat for our 29th Annual Red, White and Blue Parade! The Parade line up will begin at 9:30am in the Fleming Island Elementary School parking lot and the parade will begin at 10am SHARP. The route will begin at Fleming Island Elementary and end at the Swim Park where the festivities will continue! Please RSVP to participate in the parade today by contacting Waterfront Park at 904-621-8362. *Please Note: Eagle Harbor Parkway will be CLOSED to traffic during the duration of the Red, White & Blue Parade. Spectators are encouraged to enjoy the parade from Eagle Harbor Parkway.

Monday, July 4 | Swim Park will open following the conclusion of the Parade • Poolside activities at Swim Park: Starting at 1:00pm Beer Dive at 3:00pm – Soda Dive at 3:30pm • Live DJ at Waterfront Park and Swim Park: 11am- 4pm • Food Trucks at Swim Park: 11am – 3pm Enjoy tasty treats and be sure to bring your appetites! Snack Bar will be serving a limited menu until 4 p.m. The trucks accept credit cards or cash, and the prices are reasonable, so bring the family and grab lunch AND dinner!

Dress Code & Policies

All players should check in at tennis shop before playing.

Proper Tennis & Pickleball Attire should be worn. **No cutoffs or jean material. No Sports bras or bikers shorts may be worn by themselves. Shirts MUST be worn at all times.

Only smooth sole Tennis Shoes should be worn. Running shoes and cross-training shoes are not permitted due to risk of injury and damage to courts.

Proper Court Etiquette should be observed at all times.

Children under 12 should be supervised by an adult and should not be left unattended. Children are not permitted on the court during a lesson, clinic, or match.

No food or smoking shall be permitted on the court.

A Member is allowed 20 guests a year. Guest must be with a member at all times. Guest Fee is $5 per person per day unless member is using a guest pass.

A Member may make a court reservation up to 1 week in advance.

If a member arrives more than 15 minutes late for a reservation, that court will be forfeited if there are others waiting.

10. Bicycles should be parked at bike rack located Court 2. Bicycles should not be left in any other location on the tennis or pickleball grounds.

Eagle Harbor Tennis Shop is HIRING 3 New Employees!! Looking for 1 person to work Fridays all day, 2 people to do every other weekend at the front desk. Must be 18 & up. Friday hours would be 8-12, 3-7pm. Saturday hours are 7:45am-4pm and Sundays 9am-1pm (non season) then usta season hours will change to 11am4pm (depends on match schedule). Would also need to fill in days when other employees are away. LOOKING FOR THESE HOURS ONLY. Great job for a reliable student or someone just looking for a part time job.

2022 Eagle Harbor Men’s Member-Guest This year’s Men’s Member-Guest was a great success with drama right up until the final hole of the shootout! The final hole of this year’s shootout became a will of who would survive. Congratulations to the team of Dennis McArthur and his guest Matt Bear for capturing the overall title by outlasting the team of Tom Occhiogrosso and his guest John Hite. A total of forty-eight teams were divided into eight different flights and competed over five rounds of match play against

each team in their respective flights. Many of the flights came right down to the last match and even the last half point or two in determining the winners. The championship shootout consisted of each flight winner playing a true alternate shot team format. Two teams were eliminated on each of the first two holes and then one on each subsequent hole until the final hole. Congratulations and thank you to all this year’s members and their guests for making this tournament a great success.

Jenna Roach was selected as a 2022 JAGA Scholarship recipient Jenna was warded a renewable scholarship by the Jacksonville Area Golf Association for all four year’s that she will attend Barton College beginning in the Fall of 2022. Jenna will play for the Barton Bulldogs who compete in the Conference Carolinas on the NCAA Division II level. Eagle Harbor is an active member of JAGA and was awarded the scholarship by Ray Wensell a long-time Eagle Harbor member and active participant in many JAGA Tournaments and committees.

Jenna Roach has been an employee at Eagle Harbor since January 2022 within the Golf Operation but has been playing and participating in golf at Eagle Harbor for years. Jenna actively has volunteered her time with many of the Junior Golf Programs at Eagle Harbor even before she became an employee. Jenna began playing golf her freshmen year at Fleming Island High School and played varsity all four years while being named captain her senior year. On behalf of Eagle Harbor and Hampton Golf we wish to congratulate Jenna and her parents Joel and Lori on this great accomplishment. We wish her the very best at Barton College in the fall as she pursues a degree in Elementary Education.

EAGLE HARBOR FLAGS & SIGNS Eagle Harbor is a deed restricted community. As such, there are recorded covenants and restrictions and Architectural Review Committee (ARC) Guidelines which govern the community. These documents are a general guide for residents and can be accessed by visiting: www.eagleharborassociation.com Recently, the ARC Guidelines pertaining to Signs and Flags was updated. A few of these updates include the following: 1. Homeowners may display one portable, removable Sport Team, University/College or Seasonal flag without ARC and or EHA approval provided they are no larger than 3 feet by 5 feet in dimension, mounted on an appropriate pole fastened to either the garage wall or mailbox post. Small garden flags (13” X 18”) which are Sport

Team, University/College or Seasonal flags may be displayed without ARC or EHA approval as well. 2. Homeowners may display one portable, removable United States Flag or official state flag in a respectful manner and one portable, removable official flag in a respectful manner not larger than 4 ½ feet by 6 feet, which represents any of the United States Armed Forces, the Coast Guard, or a POW-MIA flag. 3. Homeowners may erect a freestanding flagpole no more than 20 feet high on any portion of their property if the flagpole does not obstruct sightlines at intersections and is not erected within or upon an easement. Flagpoles and displays are subject to all building codes, zoning setbacks or other local government regulations. 4. ALL OTHER FLAGS/SIGNS or advertisements of any kind placed or

displayed on any portion of an Eagle Harbor (EH) homeowner’s property or in any EH home, visible to the outside, shall require prior approval by the Eagle Harbor ARC and possibly the Eagle Harbor Association Board of Directors (EHA, Inc).
