Randall-Paulson Architects is technically sophisticated and experienced. We stay on the forefront of both project and management software and are often requested to train other design firms in the use of particular programs. Along with BIM technology, we utilize a web-based specification software (Specklink-E), advanced communication technology (Newforma), PlanGrid, and integrated administrative software (Vision). These exciting tools have provided deep access to information, increased our speed of response, and eased effort for our clients.
Revit
This multi-dimensional design method allows us to study building massing and spatial qualities from the very beginning of design documentation. It also allows our client to quickly visualize the building design as opposed to the often difficult reading of two dimensional plan drawings. Additional embedded information in the database allows retrieval of building component schedules and detail.
V-Ray
V-Ray is a rendering engine that uses advanced techniques, for example global illumination algorithms such as path tracing, photon mapping, irradiance maps and directly computed global illumination. The use of these techniques often makes it preferable to conventional renderings which are provided standard with 3D software, and generally renderings using these techniques can appear more photo-realistic, as actual lighting effects are more realistically emulated.
Aerial
We offer professional nationwide drone video and photography services. Using state of the art technology, and the most advanced machines we can capture breathtaking panoramic videos and incredibly detailed photographs. Additional services include construction progress photos, real estate marketing material, and multi-media videos. We are FAA approved and have our own UAS Pilots to deliver premium high-quality photography.
Lumion
Lumion 4.5 has become an essential illustration tool for the creation of quality visual images and videos of our building designs. The software allows us to take a 3D model that has been created within a BIM program and integrate it into a realistic 3D setting. People, cars, trees, and numerous environments bring to life a scene or animated video clip. Clients can better visualize and present their building design through these rendered images, video ‘fly-throughs’, and views.
3ds Max
3ds Max is a professional 3D computer graphics program used by our in-house architectural visualization studio to make 3D animations and models. The software has modeling capabilities, a flexible plug-in architecture, and can be used on the Microsoft Windows platform.
Matterport
The Matterport is a small portable camera we take to an existing or under construction job site. This revolutionary product scans the existing space and generates a scalable 3D model which allows us to document existing conditions that are up to 99% accurate. This versatile camera also allows you to virtually walk-through the existing space and see every angle from the floor to ceiling. The camera scanning is lightning-fast and fully automated.
BSD Speclink-E
A master specification writing, management, and production system that is updated quarterly. It is an indispensable tool. We can produce project specification manuals with great speed and relative ease. This latest iteration is also capable of being linked to Revit models.
PlanGrid
PlanGrid is a construction app that lets contractors, owners, and architects collaborate with all their project plans, specs and photos in the cloud. The software allows PDF drawings to be uploaded and automatically sync to all your team’s tablets in real time. Any punch list items and markups made can also be easily shared with the entire project team.

AS SEEN ON SCREEN (ASOS) ASOS is a British online fashion and beauty retailer. This project is the first major distribution center located in the US for this online retail giant. On the exterior, a new entry feature was added including a canopy, ramp, and stairs. This project focused heavily on employee experience and multiple amineties were added to enrich each employee’s work day. Employee amenities include: • Large security check-in area • Open air locker rooms • Fitness center with showers • Dedicated wellness rooms including mother’s room • Large cafeteria including social stadium seating • Outdoor activity area • Large open office space • Collaboration and conference rooms • Large training rooms This project also includes a four level pick module with over a mile long conveyer belt system for product sorting and distribution. LIBERTY BUSINESS CENTER

These two prominent buildings are located within the Mall of Georgia Overlay District and the City of Buford, which have a high level of required architectural elements. The buildings feature thin brick veneer embedded on concrete tilt-walls, a brick form-liner pattern at the wainscot, and continuous EIFS cornice at the front façades. The entrances are emphasized with tall glazing and scored reveal lines cutting through the concrete. Both buildings boast large metal canopies at the entry with steel rods tying back to the concrete walls. Components of the project include: • • • •

BRASELTON LOGISTICS CENTER Braselton Logistics Center Braselton, Georgia 56,000 SF Speculative
This project is a 1,027,319 SF speculative warehouse that includes a 25,000 SF mezzanine with 40’ clear heights located in Braselton, Georgia. ULINE, a shipping and packaging company signed the lease and prepared the space for their operations. The building includes a two-story office, two story shipping and receiving office, and a customer pickup area. This cross dock facility includes over 200 skylights. Ample trailer and employee parking was included around the site.

The UPS Sandy Creek Hub is a ± 1.1 million square foot facility with multiple accessory building to service it on the complex which include two guardhouses, two wash tunnels, a full automotive service shop, a pedestrian bridge, and a retail center. Inside the main hub is a complex distribution of conveyor systems that run through the buildings core, corridor and fingers. It has a 3-story main office with observation deck and is accompanied by nineteen other office complexes scattered through the hub. This hub can service semi-trailers, box trucks (inside), and air containers in the designated pit. The building also contains a full cafeteria for its employees. UNITED DISTRIBUTORS Randall-Paulson Architects’ design for the Atlanta-based corporate headquarters of United Distributors, Inc. consisted of two major phases: the renovation of an existing 92,000 SF warehouse next to their current headquarters to expand their distribution facility and training space, and the renovation of their existing headquarters offices to expand workstation and office space. This renovation included a major facelift of the building’s existing non-descript exterior to create an inviting entrance for visitors which coordinated with United Distributor’s existing facility. In addition to the exterior updates, the ± 33,000 SF interior of the warehouse was built-out to include a grand lobby and gathering space, large training room with folding partitions for corporate and community events, small kitchen and prep area, wine tasting room, executive board room, and sales training bar room. B-BRAUN DISTRIBUTION CENTER VanTrust Real Estate Daytona Beach, Florida 399,500 SF Build to suit Randall-Paulson Architects’ designed this 399,500 SF warehouse/office building located in Daytona, Florida. Located minutes from I-95 the cross dock facility includes a 8,000 SF office and a cooler storage area. The use of corporate company colors, pilaster panels, and sunshades gives the building a strong aesthetic appeal. Design features include: • Load baring concrete tilt panels • Over 8,000 square feet of office space • Cross dock efficiency • Air conditioned warehouse
EMPIRE DISTRIBUTORS Empire Distributors new home in Austell, GA is a 601,639 SF build-to-suit crossdock warehouse and distribution facility. Tenant improvements include a 68,487 SF two-story main office, 12,717 SF shipping office, and 1,470 SF receiving office Design features included: • Operations for beer, wine and liquor. • The warehouse is conditioned through-out. • RPA coordinated with the tenant’s MHE consultant for the racking, pick modules, and roof supported conveyors. • The main office includes two large training rooms that can be reconfigured for any class size and learning environment. • Two story lobby with exotic finishes. • Dock door height is 36’ clear. RPA lead a design team that provided industrial architecture, interior design, structural engineering, mechanical/electrical/plumbing engineering and fire protection engineering.
