t’s hard to believe four decades have passed since the first duPont REGISTRY magazine graced the world! I remember it vividly – April 1985, when I was just a high schooler, my bedroom walls plastered with dreams incarnate: the Ferrari F40, the Lamborghini Countach, the Porsche 959. Those automotive masterpieces felt so distant, so unattainable. Yet, here I am today, humbled and honored to be a part of the team curating the very magazine that fueled those teenage fantasies.
What a journey it’s been! From those early days, with handpainted covers and a palpable sense of discovery, duPont REGISTRY has remained the touchstone for discerning enthusiasts, a marketplace where passion meets luxury. Our founders recognized the a uence of our readership, stating, ‘We don’t have millions of readers; we have readers with millions.” And those readers, our cherished clients, have become more than just customers – they’ve become part of our extended family.

Over these forty years, we’ve witnessed countless transactions, billions of dollars changing hands, all driven by the same unwavering passion that ignited my own love for these incredible machines. This anniversary issue is a celebration of that passion, a tribute to the legacy we’ve built together. We have lovingly combed through our archives, unearthing treasures from our first edition – a nostalgic trip back to a time when $5 could bring you a world of automotive dreams.
While supercars and technology have evolved beyond imagination, our commitment to quality and our dedication to our readers has remained constant. In this issue, we o er a glimpse into the automotive marvels of 2025, from the regal Rolls-Royce Black Spectre to the exhilarating Aston Martin Vantage Roadster and the powerful Mercedes-AMG GT 63. I also had the distinct pleasure of sitting down with Zak Brown, CEO of McLaren Racing, as the 2025 Formula 1 season roars to life, with the papaya army proudly defending their Constructors’ World Championship title – a feat they also achieved back in our inaugural year!
Debuting in our SELL section is a compelling new column that delves into the fascinating financial landscape of Ferrari’s halo supercars throughout duPont REGISTRY’s history. And, of course, you’ll find our signature curated selection of the finest exotic, luxury, and classic automobiles available.
In this digital age, we firmly believe in the enduring power of a beautifully crafted magazine. Because some things, like the thrill of a perfectly engineered engine and the joy of shared passion, will never change.
This anniversary issue is a heartfelt thank you to our incredible clients, our friends, our family. It’s a celebration of our shared history and a look forward to the exciting ventures and opportunities that lie ahead. And a special thank you to our dedicated team in Clearwater, Florida, who pour their hearts into every page. Happy 40th Anniversary, duPont REGISTRY!
Happy reading, and as always, drive safely!

LUXURY
: Ed Jones
IIn the early 1980s, car collectors lacked a centralized marketplace to browse current automobiles for sale, especially those with a “luxury” or “exotic” designation. That changed with the introduction of duPont REGISTRY magazine. With the launch of duPont REGISTRY, a dedicated publication finally emerged to connect buyers and sellers of the finest automobiles. As the first of its kind, the magazine quickly gained popularity, becoming the go-to newsstand purchase and subscription for automotive enthusiasts.
Classifieds for cars from around the country began pouring into the magazine, and they continue to do so decades later, contributing to billions in transactions facilitated through our pages. Among these classifieds have been daily drivers, celebrity-owned cars, one-of-a-kind creations, vehicles used in movies, firsts of their kind, lasts of their kind, and so much more. We are incredibly proud to have represented every single one of them.
The following pages showcase some of our most exciting covers from the past forty years. These were hand-selected by our editorial team, but if you have a favorite you think should have been highlighted, be sure to share it with us on social media using the hashtag #40yearsdupont.

DECADE ONE
Do you want to know how hard it was to pick covers from our first ten years? It was near impossible as each cover featured beautiful artwork depicting what are now classic automobiles that we have all come to know and love. Take the Lamborghini Countach cover, for example. If that is not the most stylish cover, mirroring the classic “Miami Vice” style from the 1980s, I don’t know what is. It’s also interesting to see iconic cars such as the Bugatti EB110, Ferrari F40 and Porsche 959 “Gruppe B” Prototype make appearances on our covers as these would be considered “star cars” in any collection. Were we ahead of the game knowing what cars would be iconic decades later? It’s quite possible.

1995 - 2004
DECADE TWO
As we moved into the late 1990s and early 2000s, our covers evolved to feature more dynamic imagery and an increased focus on showcasing vehicles listed for sale within our pages. This era saw some truly exceptional cars grace our covers, including the Ford GT, Ferrari F50, McLaren F1, and Porsche Carrera GT. It was also during this time that we introduced special editions, such as the “Special Double Holiday Issue,” packed with the finest automobiles and the latest trends in the luxury lifestyle market. One remarkable aspect of these covers is the price points displayed—$350,000 for a Carrera GT and a million dollars for a McLaren F1. Looking back, it’s hard not to wish for a time machine to scoop up these icons at those prices.

2005-2014
DECADE THREE
From 2007 to 2017, our designs once again shifted to reflect contemporary trends. Rather than flashy layouts and boxed-o hero cars, we placed greater emphasis on the cover car itself, bringing it closer for a more immersive view. While previous covers primarily highlighted mainstream OEMs, we selected two standout covers featuring specialty automakers renowned for their extraordinary craftsmanship: the stunning Koenigsegg CCXR and the exquisite Pagani Huayra. Additional covers from this period showcased the ever-popular Ferrari F430 and the revolutionary Porsche 918 Spyder, each a testament to their era’s cutting-edge performance and design.

2015 - PRESENT
THE MAGAZINE EVOLVED TO HIGHLIGHT NOT ONLY THE FINEST AUTOMOBILES BUT ALSO THE LUXURY LIFESTYLE THAT ACCOMPANIES THEM.
DECADE FOUR AND FORWARD
Entering the modern era, duPont REGISTRY underwent a major transformation in 2022. Shifting from a classifieds-based publication, the magazine evolved to highlight not only the finest automobiles but also the luxury lifestyle that accompanies them. Under the mantra “BUY, DRIVE, LIVE, and SELL,” the magazine was restructured into four sections that celebrate each stage of the car ownership journey. Alongside this change, the magazine received a significant physical upgrade, featuring higher-quality paper stock for both the cover and interior pages. To say we are proud of our current iteration is an understatement—but we’re far from finished. Expect even greater things from duPont REGISTRY in the coming years and beyond.

NEW ARRIVALS
2025 has already sported a range of exciting vehicle reveals. Here’s what’s new so far.
WORDS : Tyler Rampersaud
TThanks to electrification and rapid innovation in the automotive world, the 2020s have proven to be a decade full of exciting new breakthroughs in the industry. Supercar and hypercar performance, as well as ultra-luxury and go-anywhere capability, have all made leaps and bounds thanks to the competition and ambitions of manufacturers across the globe. As the year thus far shows, 2025 has proved to be no exception.
In only the first few months of this year, a plethora of new vehicles have already been revealed that represent peak luxury and performance, as well as cutting-edge technology and innovative engineering solutions. To get caught up on the latest and greatest of 2025’s automotive reveals, keep reading…
1. Rolls-Royce Black Badge Spectre
Rolls-Royce made waves with the introduction of its first all-electric production model, the Spectre. Electrification helped elevate Rolls-Royce’s quiet ride and uncompromising comfort, and along with that, the Spectre was also, of course, a powerful, sumptuous coupe with stunning materials and design touches. However, the Spectre is now the latest addition to Rolls-Royce’s Black Badge line, which adds driver-focused character to its ultra-luxe vehicles. The new Black Badge Spectre features a sportier aesthetic, a tweaked driving experience for greater performance orientation, and most prominently, a “Spirited” driving mode where the new model’s full 659 horsepower and 792 lb/ft of torque can be experienced, making it Rolls-Royce’s most powerful model yet.
2.
Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE 4-Door Coupe
The Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe takes its iconic grand tourer and imbues it with the practicality of a luxurious four-door model. But the iconic German performance marque decided to up the ante with the new generation of the luxury performance machine with its latest variant. A new plug-in hybrid version of the MercedesAMG GT 4-Door Coupe, the new GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE 4-Door Coupe teams a twinturbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine with a 201-hp electric motor at the rear axle to muster a total of 831 horsepower and 1,032 lb/ft of torque, giving it the ability to bound from 0-60 in just 2.8 seconds, reaching a top speed of 197 mph.
3. Aston Martin Vantage Roadster
The new Aston Martin Vantage is a reimagination of one of the British luxury performance car manufacturer’s most iconic sports car models. With updated styling and an interior with the latest luxury and tech features, the Vantage combines the latest of luxury and performance excellence in a way that only an Aston Martin can. Now, enthusiasts can experience an open-air version of the new Vantage as Aston Martin has revealed the new Roadster recently. The same twin-turbo V8 with 659 horsepower and 590 lb/ft of torque powers it, and the new Vantage Roadster gets from 0-60 in 3.5 seconds with a 202-mph top speed, with only a 132-pound di erence from the weight of the Coupe.

4. BMW M3 CS Touring
BMW made wagon enthusiasts’ dreams come true when it unveiled the BMW M3 Touring, the first-ever station wagon variant of the BMW M3, a vehicle that has become iconic for its power, agility, and luxury combined as one of the favorite European luxury performance cars among the community of automotive aficionados. Now, the BMW M3 CS, a more aggressive, lighter version of the M3 that is meant to dominate track days, has a Touring version as well. Its turbocharged inline-six engine musters 550 horsepower and 479 lb/ft of torque, increasing the power of the M3 Touring Competition by 20 horsepower. It will reach a top speed of 186 mph, and get from 0-60 in a scant 3.5 seconds, blisteringly quick considering its station wagon practicality potential.
5. Cadillac Lyriq-V
As Cadillac’s first all-electric model, the Lyriq demonstrated the potential of General Motors’ Ultium EV technology as a sharp-looking, luxurious all-electric SUV. Since then, Cadillac has teased an electrified future for its V-Series performance-oriented lineup. While the Opulent Velocity concept served as a teaser for an electric V-Series, the new Lyriq-V, arriving for the 2026 model year, is the first production all-electric Cadillac V-Series. Thanks to its 615 horsepower and 650 lb/ft of torque, the new Lyriq-V can get from 0-60 in just 3.3 seconds, making it the quickest model that Cadillac has manufactured yet. Its signature luxury is also on display in the new model, along with an e cient estimated range of up to 285 miles.
THE BMW M3 CS, A MORE AGGRESSIVE, LIGHTER VERSION OF THE M3 THAT IS MEANT TO DOMINATE TRACK DAYS, NOW HAS A 186 MPH TOURING VERSION.

MASERATI’S GT2 ROAD RACER
Maserati’s first limited-run special since the Enzo-based MC12 may have racecar looks; what it does well on a track, it does better on the road.
WORDS : Gabriel Vega Cortés
TThe delta between a road car and a purposebuilt track machine is more often a spectrum than a gap. Porsche markets its GT3 and GT3 RS as circuit-ready machines, even if the latter is far more hardcore than the former. Think of the SF90 Asseto Fiorano versus the SF90 XX in Ferrari terms. Although one could make a compelling argument that any supercar should be track-worthy, I’ll stick to the specials for brevity.
Last year, during The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering in Monterey, Maserati pulled the covers on its first limited-run special since the Enzo-based MC12. Yet, the Maserati GT2 Stradale shows its hand long before you step into its Sabelt carbon buckets, strap in your four-point harness, or peer through its raked windshield at its vented hood and fenders. Its name drops all reference to the MC20 supercar that serves as its base while simultaneously aligning the Stradale with the championship-winning GT2 racecar with which it shares a name. As I stand by the pits at the Circuito Ascari in Málaga, Spain, watching a GT2 barreling towards the uphill section that makes up turns one and two, I’m left wondering: is the Stradale a proper track car or just an MC20 in a borrowed racing suit?
I unfortunately have to start with an apology. As long of a circuit as Ascari is in its complete configuration, throwing 26 corners at you in just under 3.4 miles, my time on it is scheduled to be frustratingly brief. Maserati’s itinerary only allows for a total of eight laps over two stints for a total of around 20 minutes on track. I’ll be learning the GT2 and Ascari simultaneously.
Long before I ever throw a helmet on, Maserati points me into one of the open
garages where a GT2 Stradale sits next to the racecar that inspired it. Although inspired is the wrong word, given that the same engineering and design teams developed the pair in tandem. With the two side by side, the visual ties between the road car and the racer are unmistakable.
Both GT2s sport widened shark nose grilles, vented hoods, louvered fenders, enlarged side intakes for improved cooling, and enormous adjustable swan-neck wings. The Stradale just shrinks the racecar’s components to road car size. However, built by such a style-focused brand, you can bet that Maserati gave it a boomerang-style spoiler as much to achieve its peak 1,102pound downforce figure as for dramatic e ect.
Whereas the MC20 wears an elegant and subtle aesthetic, the GT2’s visual presence creates a more lasting impact. It’s just more exciting to look at. Even if its aggressive aero, forged 20-inch center-lock wheels, and matte carbon panels end up being no more than racecar cosplay, at least it’s a sharp-looking costume.
As Maserati’s engineers rattle off stats with my time on track approaching, my expectations for the GT2 Stradale only increase. It shaves 132 pounds over a standard MC20 through a strict carbon fiber diet while its spring rates rise by eight and ten percent front to rear. Meanwhile, its 3.0-liter
V6 sports revised turbochargers and new exhaust manifolds to support higher boost pressure, upping its output to 631 horsepower and 531 pound-feet of torque.
An optional $13,750 Performance Pack fitted to my test car swaps the GT2’s ventilated steel brakes for upsized carbon ceramics, wraps its center-lock wheels in semi-slick Michelin Cup 2R rubber, and trades a mechanical limited-slip di erential for an electronically controlled unit in the rear. To capitalize on this new hardware, the pack adds four adjustable sub-modes within the top Corsa setting, allowing you to dial further your traction control, stability control, e-LSD, and ABS settings.
A call from the clipboard-wielding woman in charge of corralling my group means it’s time to get in the car finally. As if the two hours of standing around before my 20 minutes on the circuit wasn’t bad enough, I soon learn I’ll be chau euring an instructor the whole time. So much for those hard-fought weight savings.
Shortly after exiting the pit lane, a small crest drops us into turns three and four, also known as “The Screw.” Even with such a short stint ahead, the vocal instructor insists that I start and stay in Sport mode, the middle of three core options if you don’t count the superfluous Wet setting. While this slightly firms up this car’s dampers, quickens shifts, and relaxes its stability control system, it
By borrowing extensively from the MC20, the GT2 Stradale recreates many of its on-road manners.
instantly becomes apparent that it’s not up for track duty.
Tipping the scales at a claimed dry weight figure of 3,009 lb (closer to 3,200 lb with fluids), the Maserati GT2 Stradale is light even by modern supercar standards. Yet even this featherweight squats under acceleration and dives under heavy braking in its Sport setting. The nose dips so much that the Stradale’s carbon splitter eventually makes contact with the tarmac below, shedding precious layers of clear coat.
With my first ten minutes on track gone in what feels like 60 seconds, I’m back in the pits, tailing an engineer to ask about this car’s softly sprung nature. The answer is telling. At its core, the GT2 Stradale inherits the racecar’s carbon tub structure, a chassis that the racer borrows from the MC20. As such, the Stradale’s dampers carry over from the MC20 with no physical updates, just recalibrated software. Only its springs are new, being slightly firmer, taller, and sporting a wider diameter.
When asked why this car’s suspension wasn’t sti ened further, the engineer pointed out that the GT2 Stradale doesn’t need to be firmer due to its chassis’ high torsional rigidity and lack of excess weight. However, as I’m still within sight of a front splitter with exposed carbon fibers shimmering under the Spanish sun, that’s a di cult reality to accept.
The woman with the clipboard hollers, and I’m back in the car, strapping my harness and settling into its carbon buckets. The instructor says we’re in the top Corsa mode next. I try not to sound too excited at the prospect of properly driving the car I flew halfway around the world to experience. We set o , but the excitement doesn’t last.
As I try to pick up the pace, my passenger chimes in for me to upshift midway through the rev range. With peak power not coming on until 7,500 rpm, tugging the column-mounted paddle at 4,500 rpm seems like a waste. The instructor insists. Even as we come on to the final straight, blasting by the pits, the call to upshift early comes again.
By the time I roll back into the pits at the end of this second stint, I’m mentally drained from juggling a new track, the GT2, and a constant stream of directions. Just as I get ready to talk away, feeling as if I’ve learned nothing, Maserati North America’s generous
head of communications informs me that he’s secured me a third session, this time all on my own.
As the writer in the car ahead reaches the track’s midpoint, I get the green light to set off for the final time. Instantly, the singlepassenger GT2 Stradale feels quicker on its feet. Freed to pick up the pace, I push at full throttle down the first straight, this time clicking up a gear only when the steering wheel’s shift lights fully illuminate.
The GT2’s acceleration is, to use the correct term, batshit quick. It may generate 40 fewer horses than an Artura, but the GT2’s acceleration feels practically identical outside of instrumented testing. Yet, it doesn’t feel any more rapid than a standard MC20. It might sound surprising until you learn that the Stradale only develops ten extra horses while its torque output dips by seven lb-ft.
By sending that power to the rear wheels via the same eight-speed dual-clutch transmission as the MC20, its 2.8-second time to 62 mph and 201 mph top speed remain unchanged. Thankfully, a new exhaust system allows its 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged 90-degree V6 to hold a low-toned note that practically buzzes as you approach its 8,000 rpm redline.
On Ascari’s ultra-fast sweepers, this car’s lateral grip is impressive, made possible by its new aero components and a fresh set of semislick tires. This car’s front end is agile and instantly responsive in the slower sections. However, even in its top Corsa setting, the Stradale’s soft dampers struggle to mitigate excess body motions through tighter turns. While its electric power steering rack is quick, it doesn’t pick up enough weight under load or reward you with tactile feedback. As precise as the Stradale’s steering is, its vagueness leaves you wondering how much grip you have as you pick up the pace. It’s e ective but far from engaging.
It’s a similar story with its carbon ceramics and the GT2’s brake-by-wire system. While its unique set of Brembos are powerful and certainly more progressive than you’d get in something like a Corvette Z06, they’re utterly devoid of feedback. You’ll hear this car’s flashers go o as you lean hard on the brakes before the pedal indicates you’re approaching its limits. Again, highly e ective but not particularly involving.
As I pull into the pits for the final time, another GT2 Stradale awaits me for the drive home. On the winding roads surrounding the famed circuit, this Maserati makes it clear where it falls on the road and track spectrum. Its soft suspension easily soaks up the odd bump, even cruising in Corsa. While you don’t feel any of the e ects of its aero components, its steering is still precise, and its brakes potent. If its 631-hp output felt like plenty on track, it’s downright excessive on public roads. Yet this is where the GT2 Stradale feels the most at home. Its name once again makes a statement, with “Stradale” being Italian for road. Herein lies the answer to my earlier question. The GT2 Stradale is perfectly trackcapable, especially with the Performance pack. However, everything it does well on track, it does better on a winding mountain road. But, here, it faces tough competition from within its own house.
By borrowing extensively from the MC20, the GT2 Stradale recreates many of its on-road manners. Although a longer test drive might reveal subtle nuances not detectable in a total drive time of around an hour, they didn’t stand out on this brief first drive.
Outside of a track day, this special edition’s most significant di erences are its excellent racecar-inspired styling, carbon fiber and Alcantara interior, and spectacular Sabelt buckets. Even as Maserati plans to cap its production at 914 units, its nearly $80,000 price jump to $311,995 remains tough to stomach.
While the GT2 Stradale is the Trident’s first limited-run special in decades, this first encounter creates the impression that it’s not quite special enough.

SECRETS OF SUCCESS
When Zak Brown joined McLaren Racing ahead of the 2017 Formula 1 season, the famed team was struggling, finishing next to last in the Constructors’ Championship. Seven years later, they claimed the prestigious title together. In this exclusive interview, Brown reveals how McLaren rose to the top—and why he believes the company’s automotive division is on a similar road to glory.
WORDS : Charles Bradley
dR: When duPont REGISTRY’s first issue came out in 1985, McLaren was the reigning F1 World Constructors’ Champion and went on to repeat the feat. Forty years later, you’re champions again, can you get the job done again this year against Red Bull, Mercedes and Ferrari?
Zak Brown: We are going to give it all we’ve got, of course. We’re coming into the season feeling confident, but not cocky. That would be a dangerous place to be in the sport. I think we’ve proven how quickly our sport can change, so for us to sit here and think others can’t achieve the same would be quite an arrogant view, so we are working extremely hard. We think we’ve made nice progress on our race car over the winter, no really big rule changes, so there’s no reason why we shouldn’t pick up where we left o . But where we left o was Ferrari was quicker than us at some tracks, they were very strong, Mercedes won four races and Red Bull won a lot of races, so I think it’s gonna be an epic season of racing again—that am I confident of!
dR: What is the priority this year, to repeat the Constructors’ title or chase the Drivers’ crown with either Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri?
Zak Brown: All of the above, because if we can get our drivers to finish first and second in points, then I’m confident the Constructors’ title will come our way! Obviously, there’s always been a lot of chat, with what happened in the second half of last year, but we’re starting the season afresh, everyone’s on zero points. Everyone’s always treated equally, but obviously, if you find yourself like we did last year where you have a driver that is mathematically in it for the championship, and the other isn’t, then you start having those discussions. And I think that was one of the challenges we had last year, because where lots of people were suggesting what we should and shouldn’t do from their couch, the reality was that Oscar was never that far away from Lando. As I describe it, we have two number one drivers, and I guess it’s easier for some teams to just favor one driver, but that maybe costs them the F1 Constructors’ Championship, versus us who wanna treat both drivers the same, which then is great for the Constructors’ Championship.
dR: McLaren has made impressive strides in Formula 1 under your watch. What key decision or major change do you attribute to this turnaround?
Zak Brown: People and leadership, of course, lots of great sponsors, which help fund our team and got us new wind tunnels. Ultimately, to be successful in F1, everything must come together. But it starts with people. The story I tell is that the car that we delivered in the start of 2023, which was arguably the worst on the grid, was pretty much produced by the same 900 folks that delivered us the car that won the World Championship last year. The di erence was the leadership: Andrea Stella, Pete Prodromou, Rob Marshall, Neil Houldey, and Mark Temple. Of our technical director team, only one of those that I just mentioned were new. The others were put in di erent positions, so really what Andrea did was figure out how to get the most out of the people that we already had, and so that was all just great leadership by him. It’s amazing what the right people in the right place with the right leadership, what they can accomplish, and that’s been the single biggest di erence.
dR: How has the F1 team’s performance helped rebuild McLaren’s reputation on the global stage? Has that aided your ability to attract more investment and sponsorship?
•••
Brown says that Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri are “two number one drivers” at McLaren.
Zak Brown: I think I’m fortunate that McLaren had the brand and reputation already, so even though, when I entered, it wasn’t living up to its brand and reputation, you know it’s kinda, when the New York Yankees aren’t winning, they’re still the New York Yankees! So, I was able to trade o of our history, if you’d like, and get good people believing in what we call a quest, rather than a journey, as a journey is like what you did to get to work today. A quest is flying to the moon, so I think winning the world championship is not a journey, it’s a quest. We got people to believe in our brand and our drivers, and then the commercial momentum started well before the championship, which has just turbocharged it, as you can imagine. That obviously elevates the brand’s prestige.
dR: How does McLaren leverage its F1 success to boost automotive sales?
Zak Brown: It’s great for our road car business. Obviously, there’s been recent news about a new partner coming in from Abu Dhabi, which is great. I think [McLaren Automotive CEO] Michael Leiters is doing a wonderful job, but that’s a business that takes so much time to change. A race car is being developed a year in advance, whereas road cars are being developed three, four, five years ahead. I feel like Michael’s fingerprints are on the business now, so I think we’re now seeing products coming out that are Michael’s products, versus when he came in, when he kind of had what I had, which is kinda cleaning up what he’s walked into, and that takes even longer in an automotive business. I think he’s doing a great job, I think products are great and then, of course, the timing of our on-track success, you can see the energy that creates with his dealers and his customers.
dR: What’s your favorite McLaren road car, and how does it reflect the spirit of the F1 team?
Zak Brown: To me, it’s the P1. Awesome car, ahead of its time – it had DRS! I don’t know if any other cars do now, but it had DRS in 2014. It’s a good 10 years old now, a hybrid with advanced battery technology, so I think our P1 screams of Formula 1 tech, and it sounds amazing. Love the turbo wastegate. Unbelievably fast, looks awesome, it’s just a race car for the road.
dR: What’s your long-term vision for McLaren as both a racing powerhouse and a luxury performance car brand?
Zak Brown: I’m more of a fan of the car brand, I don’t have a responsibility for it, that’s Michael’s division, but we collaborate immensely with them, and I think we’ve got fantastic products, and we keep doing what we do and leading the way. I think our Speedtail was awesome, I think the W1 is amazing, and I believe we’re building the most awesome, technically advanced, sophisticated, high-performance sports cars. From the racing side, we’re focused on winning in Formula 1, we’re winning races in IndyCar but I’d love to win the championship, plus the Indy 500, and then if Le Mans does come knocking, we’re the only team who’s ever won the Triple Crown [Monaco GP, Indy 500 and Le Mans 24 Hours]. And then, no one in the history of motorsports, to my knowledge, has won the Formula 1 World Championship, IndyCar Series, and World Endurance Championship. Wouldn’t it be cool for McLaren, who’ve achieved a lot of firsts in this world, to not only repeat the Triple Crown, but win all three championships, which has never been done before? It requires us to be in all three series, which we’re not yet fully committed to, but, you know, if I had a dream, that’s my dream.

This exclusive gathering, which celebrated its eighth edition in 2025 led by Design District visionary Craig Robins, transformed the district’s streets into a gallery of rare hypercars and timeless classics, while blending seamlessly with high fashion and contemporary art, attracting tens of thousands of car fanatics.
Since its inception in 2014, the Miami Concours has grown into one of the country’s premier automotive celebrations, combining post-war automobiles, modern engineering, and cultural vibrancy within the Design District. It has become one of the most lauded neighborhoods in the United States, combining luxury retailers, art galleries, museums, interior design stores, and restaurants, all within an architecturally rich context.
More than just a car show, the Concours has become an annual cultural event that bridges the worlds of automotive excellence, luxury fashion, and high design. Admission to the Concours was free, though paying VIP ticket holders enjoyed access to the exclusive Moore Building members club’s facilities. Inside, “Concours Talks: Design Driven” panel discussions were hosted by duPont REGISTRY’s Editor-in-Chief Charles Bradley, and starred Brett David (CEO, Prestige Imports –Lamborghini Miami), Paolo Trevisan (Head of Design, Pininfarina), female racing stars Tatiana Calderón and Carmen Jordá, John Temerian (Curated), and former Lamborghini engineering legend, Maurizio Reggiani.

The wonderous McLaren F1 was finished in a classic shade of moss green with a fine brown interior, one of the 106 examples made.
Curated brought one of the lowest-mileage examples of the Koenigsegg CCX in existence, with just 360 miles on the clock, and one of only 29 built. It also brought a stunning Veyron, with 4,134 miles on the odometer, number 37 of 48 produced, and the only U.S.-spec example of the model painted deep Metallic Black with an all-black interior.
Another highlight was Overfinch North America unveiling its Velocity Edition, the 2025 version of its flagship high-performance model Range Rover derivative. Next-level engineering upgrades featured wide-body arch extensions with visual carbon fiber reveals and a bold carbon fiber bonnet power dome.

Vanquish VQ70 T-TOP
The areas protected include the hull above the waterline, the gunwale, exterior cabin walls, interior deck walls, and tabletops. This vessel features a custom paint job, and the owner sought to safeguard the most exposed and high-use areas to ensure long-lasting durability and preserve the aesthetic integrity of the boat. These protective measures are designed to minimize the effects of regular wear and environmental exposure.
Preserving Perfection: Protecting Your Yacht with XPEL Marine Film
Owning a yacht isn’t just about luxury, it’s about making a statement. With sleek aluminum craftsmanship and cutting-edge design, high-performance yachts – like Vanquish – demand protection that matches their prestige. XPEL® Marine Protection Film offers an invisible safeguard against the elements, ensuring your investment remains flawless for years to come.
The exterior hull faces constant exposure to UV rays, saltwater, and dock rash. Over time, these can dull the finish, causing oxidation and surface damage. XPEL’s self-healing marine film preserves the yacht’s showroom shine, repelling stains and resisting impact from debris or accidental contact. High-wear areas, such as swim platforms and boarding points, benefit from added protection, preventing scuffs and scratches before they start.
Inside, tables and high-touch surfaces endure daily wear from drinks, dining, and sun exposure. XPEL’s protective film keeps these areas pristine by guarding against spills, scratches, and fading, all while maintaining the yacht’s original aesthetics.
For those who demand perfection on land and at sea, XPEL Marine Protection Film is an essential upgrade, preserving beauty, reducing maintenance, and ensuring your Vanquish remains a masterpiece. After all, true luxury isn’t just about owning the best,

ORBITA WATCH WINDERS
Orbita Watch Winders has been advertising with duPont REGISTRY for over 30 years. As one of our longest-standing partners, we asked Karen Agno Lampkin, Orbita’s Vice President and the daughter of founder, Chuck Agno , about our long-lasting relationship.
dR: Can you tell us about the origins of Orbita? What inspired the creation of luxury watch winders?
Orbita: My father, Chuck Agno , was a brilliant man. He had several automatic watches, and he became frustrated with the process of winding and setting the time every time he’d wear one. After investigating the watch winding options out there at the time, he was convinced that he could do it in a more e cient way, and that was the catalyst for the whole thing. We spent years researching watches, and the gentlest, most e ective ways to wind them, and before we knew it, we were selling them to luxury jewelers all over the world. The rest is history.
dR: Orbita is known for its patented Rotorwind system. Can you explain what makes this innovation unique?
Orbita: The Rotorwind system is unique in a couple of ways. Firstly, it provides a bit of simplicity to the programming, as the rocking movement means that the winder does not have to be programmed for direction, as in clockwise or counterclockwise rotation. It really just has two settings, which equate to a high and low. Another nice thing about this system is that it lightens the load on the winder mechanism itself, utilizing gravity to rock the watch back and forth, similar to the movement it would get on your wrist. The low usage rate of the motor also partners well with Lithium battery power. You can place the winder anywhere, free from the shackles of a wall outlet, and the batteries only need to be changed every few years. It’s really ideal for placement in a safe or closet, where access to electrical power may not be readily available.
dR: As duPont REGISTRY celebrates its 40th anniversary, what are your thoughts on the magazine’s contribution to the luxury industry?
Orbita: duPont REGISTRY has been iconic in bringing the luxury marketplace to its readers. Due to the many crossover publications, duPont has acquired audiences from many di erent genres, and the readers are getting exposed to great products they may not have seen elsewhere.
dR: Orbita and duPont REGISTRY both cater to a luxury-driven audience. How does partnering longterm with the magazine align with your brand’s values and goals?
WORDS : Charles Bradley
Orbita: Very well, we share many of the same demographics and interest groups. I suppose that’s why we’ve been working together for so long now. It’s been a pleasure, by the way.
dR: It’s been our pleasure too! Are there any key Orbita milestones or achievements over the years that you’d like to share as we celebrate this anniversary together?
Orbita: We have been in business for almost 30 years, and a key component is we still have the same employee base for almost the entirety of that span! We believe in treating our team the same way we treat our customers, and that leads to a dedication like no other. Our customer service is unmatched, and that is due to the most incredible team. FORT LAUDERDALE COLLECTION
WORDS : Ed Jones
We spent some time with Michael Gordon, Steve Goldstrom, Adam Gordon and Steele Goldstrom of Fort Lauderdale Collection to get a better understanding of their extraordinarily successful dealerships.
4. SELL
dR: What was the inspiration, and describe the journey, for this dealership?
Ft. Lauderdale Collection: Our dealership is generational. Fort Lauderdale Collection started 30 years ago, around 1989. Over the years, we expanded, opening the Pompano location around 2000 and then the Fort Lauderdale Collection South location in 2010. Our journey has always been about curating an exceptional experience and building long-term relationships with our clients. Additionally, about 12 years ago, we took on Lotus as a franchise, which marked our entry into the new car franchise market.
dR: How does your dealership di erentiate itself from others in the luxury car market?
Ft. Lauderdale Collection: What sets us apart is the experience. Many dealerships sell exotic cars, but what makes us unique is the quality of our vehicles and the relationships we build with our clients. We have an 85% repeat client base, which speaks to the trust and loyalty we’ve built. Our dealership prioritizes privacy, respect, and personal service. We also curate collections for our clients, which goes beyond just selling a car—it’s about understanding their investment goals and passion for automobiles.
dR: Can you share the story behind one of the most unique or rare vehicles you’ve sold?
Ft. Lauderdale Collection: We prefer not to discuss specific vehicles due to our clients’ privacy. Our customers take their confidentiality seriously, and we respect that by not sharing details about past sales.
dR: How do you create a memorable buying experience?
Ft. Lauderdale Collection: The key to a great experience is making people feel welcome. The more comfortable a customer feels, the more confidence they will have in their purchase. We focus on providing an exclusive, personalized, and pressure-free environment. Unlike mass-market dealerships, we build relationships, o ering guidance that goes beyond the sale.
DUPONT REGISTRY HAS BEEN A MAJOR PART OF OUR JOURNEY FROM THE VERY BEGINNING.
dR: What trends are you noticing in the luxury car market, and how are they influencing your business?
Ft. Lauderdale Collection: We’re seeing a strong shift toward collectible cars as an investment. This trend has been growing again recently, and we’ve been curating collections for our clients for years. Many dealerships aren’t as involved in this, but we see it as a key part of the industry’s future.
dR: How has the profile of luxury car buyers evolved in recent years?
Ft. Lauderdale Collection: The profile of luxury car buyers hasn’t changed much. Instead, people age into and out of the market. Someone might love cars at 15, but they can’t a ord them until they’re 27. So while there’s a constant influx of new buyers, the fundamental mindset of luxury car collectors has remained the same.
dR: What should people know about your dealership when first stepping on the showroom floor?
Ft. Lauderdale Collection: Again, from the moment they step foot onto our showroom floor, we want our customers to feel comfortable and confident during the journey of their purchase. It’s di erent from mass-market dealerships where
you might feel bombarded. Instead, we focus on o ering an exclusive and knowledgeable service where clients can take their time and get the right vehicle for their needs.
dR: What does duPont REGISTRY mean to you?
Ft. Lauderdale Collection: duPont REGISTRY has been a major part of our journey from the very beginning. We’ve been in the magazine since its inception and have remained a part of it ever since. Even though many believe the internet has taken over, we see historical and sentimental value in the magazine. It’s not just about advertising cars—it tells the story of the dealership, its history, and the people behind it. That’s something the internet can’t replicate.

To give it the proper sendoff from under the hoods of Aston Martins that it deserves, the historic British manufacturer created the DBS 770 Ultimate, and made sure that it would live up to its name. Being a proper farewell to its 5.2-liter, twin-turbocharged V12 engine and the current-generation Aston Martin DBS, the manufacturer pushed the engine to its limits, and with 759 horsepower, it’s the most powerful car that Aston Martin has made yet. This is the only vehicle where Aston Martin has modified the Transmission Shift Pattern.
It’s able to get from 0-60 in under 3.4 seconds, and it tops out at a soaring 211 mph, on top of all of that, its production number of just 199 Volante examples, makes it one of the most exclusive and desirable Aston Martins as well.
With Aston Martin’s unmistakable blend of British elegance, opulent
timeless style, and exhilarating performance, the DBS 770 Ultimate Volante won’t be an easy car to get your hands on.

In duPont REGISTRY magazine’s 40th anniversary issue it’s perfect that in both our 1985 and 2025 pages you will find anniversary models from that most legendary manufacturer of sports and racing cars, Ferrari. Let’s take a deep dive into the numbers behind its cherished halo cars.
Ferrari’s fabled 288 GTO and the dazzling new F80 e ectively spans duPont REGISTRY’s era. Last October, Ferrari showed the world this latest technology-packed entry in its flagship supercars line, making its ‘Big Five’ the ‘Big Six’. The model celebrates the 80th anniversary of the Italian manufacturer, founded in 1947. Ferrari jumped the commemoration gun by a few years, something they’ve done with every iteration after the F40.
The 288 GTO’s raison d’être wasn’t so much about being the ultimate road car, and more to do with racing. Nevertheless, it laid the foundation for all the anniversary cars that came after it: the F40 (neatly revealed 40 years after the founding), F50, Enzo, LaFerrari, and now the F80. Launching in 1984 but selling new through 1985, the 288 GTO sold ‘gray-market’ to US customers for $83,400. Adjusted for inflation, that is $249,000 in today’s dollars. In 2025, the market average for a 288 GTO is $3.92m, representing a 16x multiple in real dollars. The model has been an incredible investment for those who bought, held, and kept up on care.
That the 288 GTO went on a 40-year journey to arrive at this valuation is remarkable next to the fact that Ferrari has priced its latest flagship supercar at nearly the same number from day one. One of the hottest talking points surrounding the F80 is its MSRP, which will be $3.7m at the time of writing. This launch price has bulged the eyes of many: “How much room for appreciation does this price leave?” Current prices for each of the earlier flagship supercars stand at or near their highest values ever, each at a real (inflationadjusted) multiple of at least double its cost new.
The price is particularly tricky when considered in tandem with the model’s target production of 799 units – the highest figure in the set since the F40. Supercars introduced by Bugatti, McLaren, Gordon Murray Automotive, and others in recent years have teased or broken through the $3m barrier, but this price is a new high for Ferrari for a production car, and those other manufacturers build their $3-4m supercars in significantly lower quantities.
It’s important to consider production alongside price, because those numbers multiplied by one another are e ectively how much supply in dollars Ferrari is pushing to market in a short period of time, with the expectation that buyers will collectively absorb the total with smiles on their faces. 799 examples
Ferrari’s F40, at 1,315 examples, is easily the most common model in the ‘Big Six’ set.
IN 2025, THE MARKET AVERAGE FOR A FERRARI 288 GTO IS $3.92M, REPRESENTING A 16X MULTIPLE IN REAL DOLLARS.
at $3.7m is a market shock perhaps only Ferrari dares to attempt – and one maybe only Ferrari can execute!
To continue this line of thinking, I’ll borrow a concept from finance to explore the reasonability of the F80’s price. Those who invest understand a concept called market capitalization. The total number of shares in circulation multiplied by the current share price equals the ‘market cap’, one way to valuate a company. Bringing this to collector cars, multiply the current market average by the total production, and you get a singular figure that roughly represents how highly the market values a certain model – a number that often correlates well with a subjective ranking of iconic and important automobiles. There are numerous caveats here, including that the number of cars still in circulation doesn’t necessarily match original production. With that understood, this methodology yields current market caps for the first five cars between $1.1b and $3.3b.
The F80’s launch price multiplied by 799 means that Ferrari is o ering another $2.9b of supercars onto the market. This is second only to the F40, sitting at 89% of that car’s cap, and representing a 42% premium over the average cap of the previous five. Is this MSRP thus unreasonably optimistic? The company certainly has not priced the F80 modestly relative to the other members of the set. Instead, Ferrari has benchmarked the car straight away as a nearleading member. However, is that di erent from what’s happened before? Let’s take a quick ride through history…
In 2002, Ferrari announced the Enzo, selling it in the US for $652,830, or $1.13m in today’s dollars, with an announced production of 399 (which eventually extended to 498). Thus, Ferrari put $565m of supply into the market between
2002 and 2004 that buyers happily swallowed up. Considering the prices that the 288 GTO, F40, and F50 were trading for at the time, the Enzo was priced at a market cap second only to the F40, at 83% of that total, and representing a 57% premium over the average market cap of the previous three.
The same analysis for the LaFerrari results in a launch real market cap of $1.22b, second only to the F40, at 89% of that car’s cap, and representing a 56% premium over the average cap of the previous four. Am I sounding like a broken record? The F80’s price point from new is almost identical to that of the Enzo and LaFerrari when considered relative to the contemporary valuations of the previous flagship supercars and each model’s total production. The question of whether room is left for appreciation is therefore arguably a better question for the Ferrari market in general than specifically for the F80.
This is true when working with the stated 799 target production figure for the F80. Ferrari built more of most of these cars than they marketed publicly – an over-run which in the case of the Enzo and LaFerrari coupe extended a substantial ~25% more, inclusive of prototype, pre-production, and post-production examples. I’m using the actual production numbers for my calculations, available via the research of marque historian Marcel Massini, whereas for the F80 I can only work with the target production of 799. If Ferrari over-runs the F80 the same way, the calculus changes here, as the model would launch with the highest market cap in the set –unprecedented in the past few launches.
I haven’t included in the numbers, for reasons of complication, the open-top ‘Aperta’ special edition of the LaFerrari, or its potential reintroduction for the F80. Some collectors are concerned that an over-run of the F80 coupe, combined with an Aperta variant, could push total production dangerously close to that of the F40 which, at 1,315 examples, is easily the most common in the set. I believe Ferrari would do well to keep an eye on these numbers if they want to keep their buyers happy. After all, strong long-term values for older flagship supercars certainly facilitate willing buyers for current and future installments.
But Ferrari’s brand power has a way of almost telling the market what is good, rather than asking, and public opinion morphs over time. Only Ferrari truly knows the level of demand coming for their latest supercar, and according to the company at launch, the 799 units are already fully allocated, with three wanting buyers for every slot.
From a pure market perspective, the F80’s asking price is rational, after that initial sticker shock, even if it seems a world away from the $83,400 price new of the 288 GTO. Supercars, particularly from Ferrari, are simply very, very expensive now. Consideration of past and current valuations of the first five supercars supports the idea that a sixth can ask for this much money at this level of production. The remaining question is whether the somewhat controversial F80 is worthy of that spot. That answer I leave, at least for now, to those who’ve received the allocation phone call from Ferrari.

Their pricing is regularly reviewed and adjusted where appropriate, so that they may provide, in light of superior condition, excellent value as well. IT’S YOUR TIME. OWN IT.
Many believe time is the one resource that cannot be bought. We’d like to argue otherwise. Ever think about the time you spend commuting from work, to your home, to the airport, or to client engagements? Imagine if this time could be reduced exponentially with a world-class solution.
