SHOP OWNERS from the East End Centre in Ayr have been left disgruntled by new roundabout construction works on Queen Street, saying road closures impact their businesses. Anita Comas, the owner of Woods Newsagency, says that the effects have been substantial, with foot traffic to the store almost dissipating due to poorly highlighted detours for pedestrians. “It’s just been horrendous,” says Anita. “People have said they’ve almost given up because they couldn’t get in. It’s too much trouble, and you can’t walk in easily.” continued Page 03
