The Rise of the Lighter Pint
Younger adult drinkers are reshaping the UK’s drinking culture. Enjoying a beer has taken a detour from big, bold ABVs and high hop counts to prioritising social connection, wellbeing, and moderation, all of which younger adults are looking for to complement their lifestyle rather than dictate it. This isn’t about a high-strength pint that anchors them to one spot for the night. They want something lighter, something they can enjoy mindfully over conversation, food, and music.
That doesn’t mean, however, that they are willing to compromise on flavour, creativity or price, which is where Goood Beer steps confidently - a crisp and easy-drinking 3.3% session pale ale with a refreshing finish. We didn’t set out to make a low-alcohol alternative but wanted to make a beer that suits how people actually drink nowlong afternoons, unplanned evenings, and proper catchups that go on a bit longer than expected. As this younger audience continues to shape culture and expectations, the opportunity for beers that offer balance, personality, and purpose is only going to grow. For the trade, it marks a clear moment to diversify the bar with options that meet modern drinkers where they actually are, not where the category used to be.
