Younger adult drinkers are reshaping the UK’s drinking culture. That doesn’t mean, however, that they are willing to compromise on flavour, creativity or price, which is where Goood Beer steps confidently - a crisp and easy-drinking 3.3% session pale ale with a refreshing finish. We didn’t set out to make a low-alcohol alternative but wanted to make a beer that suits how people actually drink now - long afternoons, unplanned evenings, and proper catchups that go on a bit longer than expected. It’s flavour-forward without tasting too fancy. Light without feeling thin. The kind of pint you’d happily have another of because it tastes goood, not just because it’s a lower ABV.
And while moderation matters, values matter too. Today’s younger drinkers care about who and what they’re supporting, with 83% of Millennial & Gen Z consumers saying they now prefer to buy brands that align with their values. The younger audience also pays attention to branding. In an era when people are craving offline moments and reminiscing about ‘the good old days’, we wanted to design a product that felt nostalgic, inclusive, and just good beer. The shift towards lighter, more sessionable beer isn’t a fad; it’s a reflection of how drinking habits are evolving. As this younger audience continues to shape culture and expectations, the opportunity for beers that offer balance, personality, and purpose is only going to grow. For the trade, it marks a clear moment to diversify the bar with options that meet modern drinkers where they actually are, not where the category used to be.
