Conorâs invention is a perfect gift for his aunt By Eunan Whyte
A GIFTED local teenager who has used his technology skills to greatly improve the quality of life for a family member, has been honoured with another prestigious award. Conor Begley, a Fifth Year student at Colaiste RĂs, developed the system, called QuickCom, that allows his Aunty Fiona, who has Cerebral Palsy, to communicate more effectively with family members, making a huge difference to the lives of everyone. As a result of his efforts, 17-year-old Conor, was honoured by the Rotary Club of Great Britain and Ireland with a Young Citizen Award in Belfast on Saturday.
