Colleen’s Peppa Pig appeal for dearly departed Daragh By Paul Byrne DUNDALK mother of four, Colleen McNally, has launched an appeal to the makers of Peppa Pig to name Mummy Pig’s new baby after her son Daragh who sadly passed away from cancer in 2019. According to Colleen her eleven year old son Daragh was a massive fan of the show and could repeat every line of every show despite the fact he had very little conversational speech to the fact he had autism. Recently Colleen read that Mummy Pig is due to have a new baby in the hugely popular animated series Peppa Pig this summer and although she knows
it’s a longshot she has sent a letter to the show’s creators Hasbro asking if they would consider naming the baby after her precious son Daragh. Daragh contracted an aggressive form of lymphoma in 2019 and died in November that year at just eleven years of age. According to Colleen she is well aware that her appeal is a longshot but she is hoping that if enough people share her post that it may just end up being seen by the right person. The letter has already been shared thousands of times and in it Colleen explains just how big a fan Daragh was of the show. Continued on Page 2
