Under Pressure Water pressure problems causing local residents financial and stressful woes By Paul Byrne LOCAL residents in the Tom Bellew Avenue area have called on Uisce Eireann to fix the issue of low water pressure once and for all after being forced to buy new showers to try and resolve the issues. Susan Dunne from Woodbury Gardens, just off Tom Bellew Avenue stated that there have been issues with her water pressure since the start of the year and that she has got nowhere with representatives from Uisce Eirean despite numerous calls to the company. “I have spent a fortune trying to resolve this issue and I actually had to get a loan from the Credit Union
to pay for plumbers, electricians, new showers in an attempt to fix the problem. I was told by Irish Water at the start of the year when I first logged this issue that there were no issues logged and that it may be a problem with my shower. “I replaced the shower two times and then decided to get all the electrics checked to make sure everything was wired properly. I am paying a mortgage and living with my two kids and it has caused so much stress. You get a bit of pressure before 7am or after 11pm but in between the water coming from the shower is cold and there is no pressure. The bald and the beautiful!
