The Bee’s Knees opens in Two Harbors

Two lifelong friends, Kathy Ruberg and Louise Fransen, joined forces to come out of retirement and create a new craft and gift shop in half

of the Agate Rock Shop building, 721 Seventh Ave., Two Harbors. The Bee’s Knees held a grand opening April 5. The shop consists of merchandise acquired or created by Ruberg and Fransen. They have separate inventories based on their different tastes. Fransen is a quilter, while Ruberg makes fleece blankets and crocheted products. The Bee’s Knees is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
