EAL Summer School Success !

This summer, students from around the world joined us at our stunning Hampton Court House School campus to take part in an immersive twoweek English language experience.

Students from across the Dukes Education Group made incredible progress, improving by two English levels in just 14 days!

Introducing EAL Autumn School

27th October – 31st October Ages 8-16

Beginners Programme – designed to support students in developing their English fluency. Suitable for those new to the programme as well as for students wishing to build on what they learned in the Summer programme. "

Advanced Academic English – For GCSE EAL students who are fluent in English but would benefit from a cultural literacy programme to deepen their understanding and strengthen their ability to address the GCSE curriculum and public examinations.

Course 1: English for Beginners

For students aged 8+ who are new to English or in the early stages of language learning. The course is tailored to the current ability and learning experience of each student. It is designed to benefit both new students and build on learnings of the Summer programme

Full Day: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

This course helps students:

Build everyday communication skills

Develop key speaking, listening, reading and writing abilities

Learn through games, music, drama and creative activities

Grow confidence in a welcoming, multilingual environment

Goal: To provide a strong foundation in English for school and social integration.

Course 2: Advanced Academic English

For students in Years 9 –11 with more advanced English preparing for Exam success within the English Examination System - subject to English assessment

Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

This full-day, intensive course includes:

Advanced grammar, vocabulary, and academic writing

Guided reading and question analysis for examinations

In-depth cultural literacy programme covering history, literature and current affairs

Expert-led educational tours to museums, galleries, theatres and historic landmarks to enrich cultural understanding

Classroom discussions and seminars focused on critical thinking and British values

Goal: To prepare high-ability EAL students for top grades and confident academic participation in UK schools.
