ABOUTUS
TheAcornNurserywasfoundedin1977andishousedinalarge Victorianpropertyoverlookingthechurch andgroundsofStJohn’s.Wehave beenlocatedintheNottingHillarea formanyyearsandmovedtoour currentpremisesin1992.In2020, weextendedourreachintothe UndercroftofStJohn’sChurch, resultingintheestablishmentof TheAcornRoundtheCorner (TheArc).Thisspaciousand brightfacilityincludestwosmaller classroomsaswellasalarger classroomthatopensontoapatio. Ashortflightofstairsleadstoadelightful, enclosedgarden.
Thenurseryoccupiestheformer parishroomsonthegroundand basementfloors.Wehavetwo largeclassrooms,two smallerteachingrooms andaprivateoutside spaceborderingthe beautifulLansdowne Crescentcommunal gardens,whichgives ustheopportunityto ventureoutsidetoplay andspendtimeinthe freshair.

Thechildrenstayingforthefulldayparticipateinavarietyof extra-curricularactivitieswhichextendtheirlearning. Dependingonwhichdayyourchildattendstheycanparticipate inDance,Drama,Karate,SpanishandSports.Thechildrenalso takepartincookingactivities,outdooractivitiesinthegardenof theChurchgrounds,STEMactivitiesandmuchmuchmore!
