Introduction
Group Educational Consistencies Dukes is a diverse family of schools, colleges and educational settings, each with its own distinctive character, context and strengths. Yet we are united by a common purpose: to help young people live extraordinary lives through education. To provide coherence across our global community while respecting local autonomy, we have established seven Education Consistencies. Together, these create a shared framework for educational excellence across Dukes:

5. Education Quality Framework (SEQRs) School Educational Quality Reviews (SEQRs) are a key part of how Dukes supports and strengthens educational excellence across our schools. Conducted by experienced colleagues from across the group, SEQRs provide an opportunity for professional dialogue, reflection and collaborative evaluation of educational provision. Through classroom visits, meetings with staff and students, and review of key evidence, the process celebrates areas of strength, identifies opportunities for further development, and facilitates the sharing of effective practice across the Dukes community.
Built around four interconnected pillars – Digital Wisdom, Critical Thinking, Character, and Serving Global Society – the Diploma develops the Dukes 4Cs: Criticality, Collaboration, Cognisance and Creativity. These competencies are nurtured through academic learning, pastoral provision, enrichment, leadership opportunities and service, helping students develop the confidence, self-awareness and adaptability needed for life beyond school. Rather than prescribing a single curriculum, the Diploma provides a common framework that respects the individuality of each Dukes school while creating a shared educational experience across the group. Beginning at age seven and continuing through to eighteen, the Diploma enables students to develop, evidence and celebrate

Learning & Development 2026-27 What makes Dukes extraordinary is not any single programme, policy, or building. It is the people. Every member of the Dukes community plays a part in shaping the experience of every young person who walks through our doors. That responsibility is a privilege, and it deserves to be taken seriously. Our four core values give us a shared language for what we believe and how we choose to show up: We Lead With Heart: Relationships first, always We Do It Well: Never settling for good enough when extraordinary is possible We Are a Team: Sharing resources and expertise because what one of us knows, all of us can benefit from We Love Learning: Instilling a lifelong love of learning, not just in our students, but in ourselves

Coordinators & Collaborative Learning
Community Networks Dukes Community Networks One of the strengths of being part Dukes is the opportunity to learn with and from colleagues across our schools. While every school has its own unique context, many of the opportunities and challenges we face are shared. Our Community Networks provide a space for leaders and educators to connect, collaborate and support one another in addressing those opportunities together. Over the past year, these networks have become an increasingly important part of how we share expertise across Dukes Europe. They have enabled colleagues to exchange ideas, develop resources, solve problems collectively and build professional relationships that extend beyond individual schools. As our European family continues to grow, so too will our commitment to creating opportunities for meaningful collaboration, professional learning and collective improvement. During 2026-27, we will continue to expand our Community Networks, bringing together colleagues around key areas of school leadership and educational practice. These networks will support the implementation of strategic priorities across Dukes Europe.

IB Diploma Programme Coordinators Network Led by Daniela Vasile
The IB Diploma Programme Coordinators Network connects DP Coordinators across Dukes schools to strengthen programme leadership, promote collaboration, and improve consistency in the delivery of the IB Diploma Programme. During 2025–26, the network established 27 cross-school moderation groups involving 85 teachers. Through collaborative moderation of student work, teachers strengthened their understanding of IB assessment standards while building valuable professional connections. Feedback from this first cycle is already informing improvements for next year. During 2026–27, the network will focus on delivering an online Theory of Knowledge (TOK) training programme for DP teachers across Dukes schools, strengthening collaboration between DP Coordinators, and supporting the continued development of high-quality Diploma Programme provision. Regular opportunities for professional dialogue and the annual DP Coordinators’ Day in Lisbon on 18 September 2026 will further strengthen professional connections and leadership capacity across the network.
Thank you to all colleagues who have contributed to our Community Networks over the past year. Their willingness to share expertise, collaborate openly and support colleagues across schools has been instrumental in strengthening our professional community. Further information about each network, including membership, key dates and opportunities to get involved during 2026-27, will be shared with schools in September.

Most of us were only taught one. This introductory session explores Gestalt Language Processing, where children learn language in whole phrases and scripts rather than word by word. Children who process language this way often use echolalia and scripting as a meaningful and functional part of their communication. This practical webinar bridges the gap between the classroom and clinical support.
