VertiStack® Avante®: From the outside, it’s a sleek, modern garage door. From the inside, it’s space-saving sophistication. We’re very excited to share our summer print issue starring Shania Twain, who has sold over 100 million records, making her one of the best-selling music artists of all time and the best-selling female artist in country music history. Twain will release her latest album, Little Miss Twain , on July 24. She is also the opening act for Harry Styles’ 12-night run at Wembley Stadium in London in June and July. We caught up with the Grammy Award winner at our cover shoot in late April to hear tracks from the record and watch her rock her way through the latest pieces from Dior, Michael Kors Collection and Dolce & Gabbana with high jewelry from Graff and Piaget.
Also in the issue, Marshall Heyman profiled two wonderful actors: Taraji P. Henson and Regé-Jean Page. Christina Ohly Evans wrote about the must-sees, stays, eats and dos in Europe for our travel section.
We are so fortunate to work with seasoned pros like photographers Emilio Madrid (three times in this issue!) and Taylor Miller along with stylists like Andrew Gelwicks (twice!), Tiffany Reid and Seppe Tirabassi on photo shoots that yielded stunning original visuals for our issue.
We hope you enjoy reading this issue as much as we did producing it.

DuJour has always been interested in the people who shape culture rather than follow it. This issue of DuJour highlights Grammy Award–winning singer and artist Shania Twain. We revisit a woman who made country music global, who turned vulnerability into anthems and who has never been afraid to evolve in full view. Decades after she first rewrote the rules, Twain remains a study in reinvention—at once glamorous and grounded, self-aware and wildly optimistic. Twain doesn’t just belong in that conversation—she helped write it. And as you’ll see in these pages, her story feels less like a retrospective and more like a continuation.
Spending time with her for this issue, what came through most wasn’t just the obvious—yes, the hits, the history, the fact that she changed the sound of country music forever. It’s her energy. She’s funny, self-aware, a little rebellious and totally at ease with herself in a way that feels hard-won and refreshing. There’s no pretense. Just someone who knows exactly who she is and is still curious about what’s next. This summer, Twain will release her seventh studio album Little Miss Twain . She is also the opening act for Harry Styles’ 12-night run at Wembley Stadium in London in June and July.
No matter what you’re up to this season, DuJour will be there to serve as your lifestyle guide for all things fabulous. Wherever you are, enjoy the summer print issue with our compliments.

There are tailoring brands, and then there are tailoring worlds. Thom Sweeney has always leaned toward the latter—less a label than a way of living in clothes. This summer, that philosophy lands on Madison Avenue, where the British house will open its first true New York flagship, expanding a quietly global footprint that already stretches from Mayfair to Soho, West Hollywood and the Miami Design District. “New York has always held a special place in our hearts,” says co-founder Thom Whiddett. “Opening in Soho was a defining moment, our first step internationally, and the start of our journey in the U.S. Eight years on, moving to Madison Avenue feels like a very exciting and natural progression.”
Beloved by a certain breed of leading man—Glen Powell, Michael Fassbender, Leonardo DiCaprio, Andrew Garfield—Thom Sweeney has built its reputation on a deceptively simple idea: tailoring that meets men where they actually live. Not in theory, not in tradition for tradition’s sake, but in motion across work, travel, weekends and everything in between.
The brand’s origins are pure Savile Row. Founders Whiddett and Luke Sweeney met in 2003 at Timothy Everest, where Whiddett served as head cutter and Sweeney ran made-to-measure. Their training instilled the rigor of traditional British tailoring, but their instincts pushed them toward a softer, more fluid silhouette that reflected how men were beginning to dress. By
2009, they had opened their first permanent store and the proposition was clear: the precision of Savile Row, recalibrated for modern life.
That recalibration is most evident in the clothes themselves. Thom Sweeney’s house style—natural shoulder, clean lines, ease through the body—rejects stiffness in favor of movement. It’s tailoring that doesn’t announce itself so much as it integrates, whether in a sharply cut suit, a louche linen shirt or the kind of knitwear that quietly upgrades an entire wardrobe. The offering now spans everything from formal tailoring to knitwear, loungewear, accessories and shoes.
Bespoke tailoring is crafted entirely from scratch, beginning with an individual paper pattern created for each client. Each bespoke suit requires up to 80 hours of meticulous handwork. Every garment is shaped by five pairs of hands: cutters, tailors, and finishers, using several thousand hand stitches. The process is overseen by head cutter Max Whitaker. The Savile Row–trained Whitaker will now take up permanent residence at the Madison Avenue flagship, anchoring its bespoke program and reinforcing what has always set Thom Sweeney apart: a commitment not just to product, but to process. Clients move through a series of fittings over eight to 10 weeks, the suit evolving incrementally toward something that feels less like clothing and more like a second skin. Even the made-to-measure offering, produced in specialist Italian workshops, carries a similar attention to nuance, using proprietary fitting garments to map the body in detail. “This is the most

important opening of Thom Sweeney’s career to date,” says Sweeney. “It is not only a significant moment for us as a company, but one we believe matters for British tailoring more broadly.”
Which is where the new store takes an unexpected turn. Because if tailoring is the foundation, hospitality is the atmosphere. At the center of the space sits Sol’s, a cocktail bar and lounge that feels less like a retail add-on and more like a private club slipped discreetly into the back of the room. Named for Sweeney’s father-in-law Sol Kerzner, the legendary hotelier behind Sun International, Atlantis Resorts and One&Only, the result is a space that blurs the line between shop and social hub. Clients might come in for a fitting and stay for a drink. Or come for a drink and, eventually, a suit. “We’ve put a great deal of thought and care into creating a space that feels homey,” says Whiddett. “We always want our clients to feel at ease, welcomed and inspired when they walk in!”
In a retail landscape increasingly defined by speed and scale, Thom Sweeney’s Madison Avenue flagship offers something slower, more deliberate. A place where clothes are made with patience, and where the act of buying them feels less transactional than personal. Less like shopping, in other words, and more like belonging. ■

OPPPOSITE: The home’s exterior—natural cedar shingles, white columns, near-black porcelain tile and a planked ebony wood door—offers a refined preview of the palette and materiality carried throughout the interiors

DESIGN
Melanie Calder Russo of Calder Design Group reimagines a summer lake house in Deal, New Jersey, for a family of six
BY NATASHA WOLFF
PHOTOGRAPHY BY SARAH VOIGT
Set on the quiet footprint of a former ranch house, this 6,000-square-foot residence in Deal, New Jersey, reimagines a beloved family property as a polished yet relaxed coastal escape. The shingle-style architecture sets the tone, while the interiors were designed to support effortless summer living for a multigenerational family. From the expansive entertaining spaces to the seamless indoor-outdoor flow anchored by a pool, cabana and lush landscaping, the home is meant to be both elevated and incredibly livable. The homeowners, a family of six, tapped Melanie Calder Russo of Calder Design Group for the new home build after working together 20 years ago on their primary residence in Brooklyn.
The architecture leans into a language of ease and endurance, where materiality does much of the storytelling. Porcelain flooring flows continuously throughout, offering a clean, resilient foundation underfoot, while performance-driven indoor-outdoor textiles soften the interiors without sacrificing practicality—an essential balance for sun-soaked months and constant circulation. Nowhere

I love how the home supports both large-scale entertaining and quiet family moments.
Three

A large-scale mural by Area Environments serves as the focal point of the primary bedroom, setting a serene, nature-inspired tone. The furnishings remain intentionally restrained, while woven wood

is the home’s convivial spirit more apparent than in the dining room, where three generous 6-foot-square tables can be arranged to accommodate a crowd, underscoring the family’s penchant for gathering. “I wanted the home to feel modern yet grounded, balancing clean lines with natural elements,” says Calder Russo. “We incorporated materials like wicker and wood to soften the more architectural features, such as the porcelain flooring and streamlined millwork. The palette is rooted in black and white, with lime green used as an accent to subtly bring the outdoors in.”
In the private quarters, a subtle hospitality influence emerges. Guest bedrooms and baths—uniform in layout and finish—read like a series of serene suites, lending the home the quiet rhythm of a boutique hotel while ensuring comfort and consistency for visitors. The primary suite, by contrast, offers a more individualized retreat. “The home has a very cohesive material story,” says Calder Russo. “I used a combination of two porcelain tiles throughout to create continuity and durability, especially important for a high-traffic summer home.”
An expansive infinity pool draws the eye outward, while a fully equipped pool house—complete with kitchen, bath and laundry— extends the home’s livability beyond its walls, blurring the line between interior and landscape. “I love how the home supports both large-scale entertaining and quiet family moments,” says Calder Russo. “From the 18-foot dining setup to the layered outdoor spaces—with a pool, cabana, outdoor dining area and multiple fire tables—there are so many opportunities for gathering, all designed to feel effortless and inviting.” The result is a house that feels at once intentional and effortless: a study in durability and refinement designed not just for a season but for the rituals and memories of many summers to come. ■

A fully equipped cabana, complete with an outdoor kitchen crafted in StarBoard, elevates the backyard experience. Pendants by Made Goods and wood-look porcelain surfaces echo interior finishes, reinforcing a seamless indoor-outdoor connection. Durable, performance-driven materials ensure every space is as livable as it is refined.
Samantha Kasowitz finds her stride
BY THE EDITORS OF DUJOUR
amantha Kasowitz moves through the equestrian world with the quiet discipline that often defines serious riders long before public attention ever arrives. In a sport where reputation is built not by headlines but by repetition, consistency and trust between horse and rider, her presence has steadily become familiar within the hunter-jumper circuit, particularly at Wellington International, where many of the country’s most competitive amateur and professional riders gather each winter.
Wellington is a world unto itself—part elite sporting arena, part social landscape, part demanding daily test of patience and precision. Before the crowds gather and the afternoon classes begin, the morning hours belong to riders, trainers, grooms and horses moving quietly through carefully structured routines. It is here, among early schooling sessions and carefully timed warmups, that the 27-year-old Kasowitz has built her rhythm. Her competitive appearances in upper amateur jumper classes have shown that she rides with seriousness rather than spectacle. Horses such as Charlie, King of Diamonds Z and Dinky Toy VD Kranenburg have appeared under her in recognized competition, each requiring a slightly different style of communication and feel. In jumping, every horse presents a new conversation. One may need confidence approaching technical lines; another may demand patience before a vertical or oxer. Riders who remain in the sport at a high level learn that adaptability matters as much as boldness.
Kasowitz’s riding career has been linked with Fair Play Farm and trainer Mark Dean, both associated with serious jumper development rather than purely social participation. That matters, because in Wellington, barn affiliation often reveals more than public introductions ever do. Riders attached to disciplined training programs are judged not by social visibility but by preparation, ring conduct and how steadily they improve over time.
Though she rides in the same environment that includes internationally known names such as Jessica Springsteen and Lillie Keenan, Kasowitz’s profile has remained notably discreet. In many ways, that reflects a familiar pattern in upper-level amateur equestrian sport: serious commitment without the need for constant public attention. Among riders, that discretion often earns its own form of respect. The world of competitive equestrian sport rewards patience in unusual ways. Progress is rarely linear, and each season introduces new horses, new technical challenges and new lessons in resilience. For riders like Kasowitz, the attraction appears rooted in that ongoing pursuit itself—the refinement of skill, the trust required to compete successfully and the discipline of returning each day knowing that mastery in riding is always unfinished. ■ SPORTS

Stephen Ross doesn’t just build buildings. He builds the kind of places where money and influence pool together—and then he waits for everyone else to show up. In recent years, he’s made his biggest bet yet outside New York: turning West Palm Beach into a serious business destination.
As the founder of Related Companies and chairman and CEO of Related Ross, the real estate titan spent decades reshaping Manhattan’s west side with Hudson Yards, the sprawling mixed-use project that became a case study in how to redevelop a city from scratch. Now he’s doing something similar in South Florida, but with a cleaner read on the moment: a generation of wealthy people has been moving to Florida, and whoever builds the right infrastructure first stands to own the market.
The numbers are large. Ross has committed more than $10 billion to West Palm Beach, anchored by a pair of trophy office towers—10 and 15 CityPlace—designed to draw hedge firms, private equity firms and financial players who want the upside of Florida’s tax environment without giving up the kind of
address that signals they mean business.
He knows, though, that offices alone don’t make a city. So around the towers he’s building luxury waterfront condominiums, retail, restaurants and the kind of cultural programming that gives a neighborhood an identity. The pitch to a potential relocator isn’t just “lower taxes.” It’s “you won’t miss New York.”
It’s working, at least by one measure. Related Ross has quietly become the largest commercial landlord in downtown West Palm Beach—which means Ross now controls enough of the district to shape it. He can choose the tenants, set the tone and determine what kind of place this becomes. That’s the real asset.
People who watch these markets closely aren’t surprised. The migration of financiers, family offices and entrepreneurs to Palm Beach County has been building for years. Ross isn’t chasing that trend—he’s putting a frame around it.
The ambition, plainly stated: make West Palm Beach a place where serious deals get done, not just a warm-weather escape for people whose real lives are elsewhere.
Whether it works at that scale is still an open question. But Ross has done it once before, on a much harder piece of ground. ■

enni Kayne is a lifestyle, interior, furniture and fashion designer and the author of Pacific Natural: Simple Seasonal Entertaining and Pacific Natural at Home . Her brand has 10 stores across the country, as well as a robust online website, a popular lifestyle blog, Rip & Tan, and collaborations with brands such as Lulu & Georgia and Parachute. In her third book, Pacific Natural Everywhere (Rizzoli), Kayne presents inspiring interiors from an array of artisanal houses set in beautiful landscapes, showing us how to create spaces that encourage living well and sustainably in comfort and style. Inspired by organic textures, thoughtful simplicity and nature, Kayne embodies an earthy and effortless aesthetic that can be adapted, practiced and experienced anywhere and everywhere. Here, Kayne shares thoughtfully designed interiors of creative women and their families across the

United States and the world. Although these homes span varied landscapes and climates, they all embrace a similar natural design ethos, whether by the ocean in California, among the redwoods in Washington, in the mountains of Colorado, on the coast of Portugal or amid the dramatic natural settings of New Zealand. What these interiors share is an artisanal quality, with an emphasis on natural materials and an organic approach to the designed space that’s inspired by the surrounding landscape. Kayne is a minimalist, and she highlights the intentional interior choices made for each project, from the textures and finishes throughout to the furniture and artwork, down to every design detail. With a mix of visual inspiration, interviews with the homeowners and her own thoughtful ideas and tips, Kayne encourages us to create beautiful interiors that help us live joyfully and mindfully, reminding us to treat life’s details with creativity and care.

Whether you’re looking for an art-filled escape or an adrenaline-charged break, the time is now to book a summer holiday to remember.
A beach club extraordinaire is the latest stylish addition to the Italian Riviera
After many years in the making, Le Sirenuse Mare—a beach club by the storied Le Sirenuse hotel in Positano—is finally making its grand debut this summer season. Perched on the sea in the tiny, slightly inaccessible town of Nerano (best to go by boat on one of the hotel’s boats, or from a tender)—the breezy beach club and restaurant and bar will surely be the place to see and be seen, with a signature Golden Hour cocktail in hand.
Co-owners Carla and Antonio Sersale are second-generation hoteliers who, with their two sons, run the Positano property, oversee the family’s extensive art program and the Emporio Sirenuse lifestyle brand (the ceramics are exquisite) and run multiple bars and restaurants that are always in demand. The Sersale family’s high-touch approach to hospitality has been a winning formula for 75 years, and the only thing missing was a beach club. That problem has been solved with the addition of Le Sirenuse Mare, a 27,000-square-foot property complete with a 180-person breezy restaurant, two stylish bars and a new Emporio Sirenuse boutique. A wide pebble beach with two jetties welcomes guests to linger—preferably on one of the club’s discreetly chic sun beds under a brightly colored canvas umbrella.
Visitors are spoiled for choice across the club’s three sea-facing levels, from Rose’s Bar—so named for British artist Rose Wylie, whose “Pineapple” sculpture graces the beach bar setting—to the stunning main restaurant with its pergolas made of local chestnut and bamboo bound with fishing twine. The food, including the area’s celebrated spaghetti alla Nerano with zucchini and provolone and blocks of housemade mozzarella, is served on the new Ànemos ceramic service which is fired by hand in the nearby town of Vietri and is available for purchase in the curated shop.
Much like at Le Sirenuse in Positano, contemporary art and artisanship play starring roles at the beach club. From a striking white clay fountain by Rome-based sculptor Giuseppe Ducrot that dominates the upper bar terrace to Mexican artist Bosco Sodi’s striated “Caryatides” sculpture to Alba Clemente’s playful painted tiles that pop up throughout the property, the club is an aesthete’s dream. While the focus is clearly on sun and the outdoors, the spaces by Architetti Artigiani Anonimi studio are sublime as well. Le Sirenuse Mare’s architect, Annarita Aversa, fuses art and design at every turn. The landscape is of the place, too, as envisioned by Italian landscape architect Paolo Pejrone, who has infused the area with fragrant orange blossom, jasmine and abundant citrus trees. From mid-morning to sunset, Le Sirenuse Mare promises to be the most coveted reservation—or chaise longue—on the Amalfi Coast, so you’ll want to book early to enjoy languorous la dolce vita days. A few days ago, Titanic —yes that one, with Kate and Leo— had its world premiere in Tokyo.
In a month, Timothée Chalamet will be 2 years old.
Harry Styles is 3.
Taylor Swift is 7.
Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo and Sabrina Carpenter haven’t even been born yet.
Now imagine Shania Twain. She’s 32 years old, from the middle of nowhere, “the bush,” in northern Ontario, Canada, where, in winter, the roads freeze over and you get around on snowmobiles. She’s already had her first No. 1 hit, “Any Man of Mine” from her breakthrough The Woman in Me . Today, she’s celebrating the release of what will become her landmark album Come On Over, her third record.
She knows it’s good. She’s put her heart and soul into it. But she has no idea that it will become one of the best-selling releases of all time. (Tied for a while, before surpassing it, with Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours.)
And, that nearly 30 years later—OK, now we’re in 2026 and Sabrina Carpenter is 27 and Harry Styles is 32—we’ll still be singing not one, not two, not three, but five songs from it: “You’re Still the One,” “Man! I Feel Like a Woman,” “From This Moment On,” “Come On Over” and “That Don’t Impress Me Much.”
These are tracks that play rent-free in our minds. You can sing a line from any of those songs, and you don’t even need the radio or a karaoke machine to do it. One of those lyrics is likely rolling through your head right now as you read this.
Maybe it’s:
The best thing about being a woman is the prerogative to have a little fun.
or:
You’re still the one that I love, the only one I dream of.
For me, it’s:
Oh-oh, you think you’re sexy. Oh-oh, you think you’re something else. Okay, so you’re Brad Pitt. That don’t impress me much.
Yes, the legacy of this album is amazing. It’s impossible not to be impressed. Do you know what’s also amazing? Do you know what’s also impressive? That in the 30 years since this canonical album was released, Twain has still not met Brad Pitt.
“Never met him,” she says, taking a load off after the day’s photo shoot. She’s wearing a Gucci jacket, a yellow baseball cap, white high-top sneakers and a T-shirt featuring Winnie the Pooh.
I look at her, dumbfounded. I repeat the question. How is it possible? That this worldwide musical sensation has never been in the same room as Pitt? After all this time?
“Nope, I’ve never met him. And I think he owes it to me to at least introduce himself,” she says. At the time, two years before the release of Fight Club, Twain explains, it was a “very random lyric.” She once said she came up with it after seeing leaked naked photos of Pitt with his then-girlfriend Gwyneth Paltrow.
“And, actually, I hoped he’d never be in the same room as me because I’m a little embarrassed that I did that,” Twain adds.
“I always thought, ‘What if he doesn’t like it? What if he’s offended by it?’ I’d rather just not run into him at all.”

All these years later, though, Twain says, “I think we’d both talk and laugh. Or I’d hope so, of course.”
Twain will turn 61 in August. Pitt is 62. And she has nothing to be embarrassed about. Especially not this summer, which sees the release of her latest studio album, her seventh, titled Little Miss Twain , out July 24. Starting in June, she’ll enter into a concert residency with Styles for 12 dates in London at Wembley Stadium.
First: the album, which harks back to her childhood, “who I was and where it started,” Twain says. It’s filled with so much of the soundtrack of her youth, including The Supremes, Dolly Parton, The Carpenters, Linda Ronstadt, The Eagles, Bread, The Bee Gees, Gladys Knight. There’s some banjo, some bluegrass, some acoustic guitar.
“It’s my whole scramble of music influences, where I’m from and who I really am,” she says. “It comes out of the pure joy of making music.”
It also comes from a time when Twain was 8 years old, already earning money by singing in bars, encouraged by her mom to sing. “I’d have school the next day,” she recalls. “I’m too young to be there. I’m tired. It’s full of smoke.” She makes it sound a bit like she was a young Gypsy Rose Lee. There are strippers, she remembers, on the stage too, and “when they’re stripping, I’m on a break. When they’re off, I’m onstage.”
“According to my mother, I’m the next Tanya Tucker,” Twain sings on the album. It’s not that she felt pressure from her mother to become famous, she says. “Fame was so far away as a reality. I wasn’t dreaming about fame. The dream was to make a living at singing.” Fame, she insists, “was my mother’s dream. That lyric is about how I will be famous someday, not according to me . By the

I WASN’T PLANNING ON DOING ANYTHING THIS SUMMER,” TWAIN SAYS. “I’D ALREADY DECIDED IN MY MIND THAT I WASN’T GETTING ON THE STAGE.” AND THEN STYLES REACHED OUT.
time I figured [being famous] was even a remote possibility, she was not even here anymore. That’s how wide the gap is between her dream and my reality, which is kind of cool.”
Twain’s parents died in a car crash in 1987. Things had never been easy. “We were really, really poor,” Twain continues. “We’d have empty cupboards for weeks. I always thought, ‘If I get good enough at this, then we’ll always have food.’ I had really basic, naive goals.” Twain would contribute to the family income. “I could put gas in the car,” she says. By 13, she was already working at McDonald’s.
Still, returning to that moment for this album is a happy time. Zipping around on snowmobiles. Campfires. “I love looking at the pictures and reminiscing with my sister.” Twain says. “It’s a good feeling. I’m not sad about it anymore, and maybe that’s part of the timing, too. I’m also discovering my purpose in a lot of things. And songwriting is a big part of that journey.”
Since she’d just be turning in the latest album, Twain expected to take the summer off. She wanted to ride horses. To cook. (Lentil soup for her 25-year-old son, Eja; her special vegetable casserole of cheese, broccoli, cauliflower, peas and carrots for her husband, Frédéric Thiébaud.) Play lots of tennis. Write more music. “I take writing very seriously,” Twain says. Think about the jukebox musical of her songs that’s in development. Spend time between the Bahamas and Switzerland, where she has homes.
“I love the Canadian nature,” she says. “I love being in a tent. I love sleeping outside. I love cooking on a fire. I love the Exumas. I love the Caribbean. I love the waters. I love just being in the water and forgetting about the rest of life.”
To that end, Twain says, “I wasn’t planning on doing anything this summer. I’d already decided in my mind that I wasn’t getting on the stage.”
And then Styles reached out.
Styles has often covered “You’re Still the One” on his tours. It’s a favorite of his. So she went to see him in concert, and they met backstage. They exchanged numbers. A little bit later, he texted to ask if Twain would call his mom and wish her a happy birthday.
“He said, ‘She’s a big fan. She’s the reason why I even know who you are. You’re the soundtrack of my youth.’ So I give her a call and wish her a happy birthday, and we’ve just been friends ever since.”
Twain sees herself a “little bit more like an aunt” to Styles. At 32, “he’s just now at the age when I was just really getting big. I relate to him more now than I would have when he was younger. I know where he’s at, or where I imagine he’s at. He’s burdened with a lot of things that fame brings, but all the great things too. So we understand each other. I would never have done it for anybody else. It’s a really great match.”
Twain adds that “it’s a good coming together of people in this world. We’re just normal people, but we understand each other as normal human beings and as artists.” She also deeply appreciates Styles’ closeness with his mom. “There’s something really touching about that connection. He loves her so much. It’s adorable, and I just want to be around that. I want to cheer him on. He’s off on a big, big, big venture.”
But she can’t tour the whole world with Styles. “He has time for that, but I’ve got to prioritize things,” Twain says. “I have to live to 200 in order to do everything I want to do. I’ve got to get back in the studio. I’ve got other songs I need to write.”
Twain believes her mental health comes first. “It’s everything,” she says. “I try to be the best parent I can be, the best wife, the best friend, the best sister. I like making people happy. That makes me happy.”
Little Miss Twain , she explains, is a good marker of where she’s at in her life, of all she’s accomplished. “I’m proud of her. I’m proud of Little Miss Twain and her determination. She freaking did it.” ■

Five years after Bridgerton turned him into a global heartthrob, Regé-Jean Page is returning to romance. With You, Me & Tuscany, he’s not just revisiting the genre—he’s rethinking its place in modern life

It makes sense: he’s had some serious experience. The dashing 38-year-old British actor is perhaps still best known for his smoldering Duke of Hastings on the first season of Netflix’s Bridgerton , which set Christmas 2020 ablaze.
“I check in every now and then [on Bridgerton] because I have a lot of friends there and people I love, and they do wonderful work,” he says of the show, which continues to be a smash hit in its fourth season, despite Page’s absence. “I’m not fully up to date, but I know enough not to be running around asking anyone to be my mistress any time soon.”
It’s taken Page five and a half years to return to the genre. But he finally has, Italian style, in You, Me & Tuscany, out in theaters this month from Universal. In a 2026 twist on Roman Holiday, he plays Michael, a lonely winemaker in central Italy who falls for the charms of Anna (Halle Bailey), an American chef who shows up from New York, pretending to be married to his cousin Matteo. Don’t worry. It will all make sense when you see it on the big screen, which Page says was integral to his involvement in the project.
away “so I didn’t film the movie,” Page says, conceding it was a “very cold environment to see this type of film. Two guys who don’t know each other in a dark room.”
“But within about five minutes, I heard the first chuckle come from behind me,” Page recalls. “It was just a free, almost childish giggle. That gave me permission to chuckle and giggle. And now there are these two strangers—two fully grown men who have escaped from this busy concrete world—chuckling and giggling and enjoying this escape together, giving each other permission to do that. I found that to be an incredibly beautiful thing.”
It’s why Page is particularly thrilled that audiences will be able to experience the movie together, in public and on the big screen. “They’re going through something together,” he says. “It feels like an event.”
“We haven’t really seen romantic comedies in cinemas lately,” says Page, acknowledging that movies like You, Me & Tuscany have, over the past decade, become a staple of streaming services like Netflix, Peacock and Amazon Prime. “We’ve gotten into the habit of watching them at home, so I wanted to participate in that landscape coming back into bloom.”
The first time he watched the movie was at the Universal Studios screening room in central London. He was alone save for a security guard who’d taken his phone
Page’s last few films, like the spy thriller Black Box opposite Cate Blanchett and Michael Fassbender and the big-screen Dungeons and Dragons adaptation Honor Among Thieves, might not make you think so, but the actor believes “rom-coms and romances are very important.”
Not just as a shared experience, he explains, but as a self-improvement exercise.
“They’re movies where people talk through their problems and how to become better people. I think that’s a really important lens for people to see their lives through.
It’s the human stuff,” Page says.
“Films reflect reality as it is, but they also reflect reality as it can be,” he continues. You, Me & Tuscany is a fantasy, an escape. “But everything in it is in the bounds of reality,” he says. “You can buy a ticket on an impulse and go somewhere as beautiful as Tuscany. It’s a real place. We didn’t make it up.”

Sure, Anna’s character in the movie tells a few white lies and gets in a little bit of emotional hot water, but, Page insists, to make life exciting you have to take a few risks and a few tumbles.
“You have to find people that will open up your view of the world,” Page says confidently. “You need to see life as beautiful in order to strive for life as beautiful. If you see it, you can be it. You need to see idealized versions of life in order to create them for yourself, to discover new ways of living that can fulfill you more.”
The audience may be experiencing a kind of adventure on screen, but, Page hopes, “when you leave the theater, you’re coming out singing the soundtrack, thinking, ‘You know what? That could be me! It’s not going to work out exactly the same way, but maybe I can break the shackles of a life that feel restrictive.’”
You don’t hear George Clooney and Julia Roberts or Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell talking like this on Entertainment Tonight , do you? Applying the underpinnings of Ticket to Paradise or Anyone But You (which, by the way, was based on Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing) to the development of the human psyche? Well, it shouldn’t surprise you that Regé-Jean Page has a background in Shakespeare, having starred in The Merchant of Venice with Jonathan Pryce at London’s Globe in 2015.
“Regé appreciates the rom-com genre on a deep level,” says Kat Coiro, director of You, Me & Tuscany. She describes the actor as particularly multifaceted, “layered like a lasagna.”
“He never condescends,” she adds. “He embraces the joy and crowd-pleasing aspect. He knows what has come before, is aware of the tropes, the successes and the pitfalls. It all made him an incredibly valuable partner as we set out to make a big, theatrical rom-com.”
Of course, Page’s damn good looks help make things bigger and more thrilling. “The smolder in
person is quite something to behold,” says Coiro. “The man knows how to work the camera, that’s for sure. But the smolder isn’t manufactured. It comes from having so much going on behind the eyes. The wheels are always turning.”
Want to know one thing Page’s wheels aren’t really turning about, especially now that he spent a few months in Italy playing an Italian vintner? Wine. Go ahead. Imagine you’re in a nice restaurant like Carbone with Page. It’s a date. Everyone’s staring at you from around the room. “Who’s that with the guy from Bridgerton?” they’re all asking. You pass your date the wine list. He was just in a movie about wine. He’s got to have ideas. White or red, at least. So you ask: “What should we drink, Regé?”
“That’s my nightmare,” Page says. “My nightmare.” Really? Yes, he confirms. “I can appreciate a good glass of wine, but I have nowhere near enough wine knowledge. I learned enough to get by, but the things you learn for an acting job tend to go in the same bucket as my lines go into. They are bright and vivid on the day, but as soon as the job is done, they disappear into the ether.”
Page can’t even name the best glass of wine he had during the production—not the grape, not the label, though he recalls the Airbnb he was staying in when he had it. Still, he more than makes up for it in wine vamping and setting the scene.
“The wine is about where you’re drinking it, when you’re drinking it, how you’re drinking it,” he stresses, noting that the only thing he brought back from Italy was coffee. “Anyone can have a great glass of wine, but they don’t know how good it tastes until they find the right person to drink it with.”
While you wonder if you should scratch your head in confusion or ask the sommelier for some advice, he keeps improvising. So, of course, you swoon, staring into his dark brown eyes.

“ THE SMOLDER IN PERSON IS QUITE SOMETHING TO BEHOLD. THE MAN KNOWS HOW TO WORK THE CAMERA, THAT’S FOR SURE. BUT THE SMOLDER ISN’T MANUFACTURED. IT COMES FROM HAVING SO MUCH GOING ON BEHIND THE EYES.”
“We were out on the balcony looking over the farm. There was a charcuterie board. I was looking out as the sun was going down,” Page remembers. “And the wine tasted so good . It’s possibly because it was very good wine, or possibly because of the environment we consumed it in.”
And you know what? He’s probably right.
Page insists he’s always been an earnest overthinker.
“When I was a kid, I wanted to be an explorer,” he says.
“Acting feels like a travel adventure. I get to live someone else’s life in a different place and report back the things I’ve seen. It’s almost like travel journalism, but for the psyche.”
When he’s not acting, Page splits his time between London and Los Angeles, usually in three-month cycles.
“The two cities complement and refresh each other,” he says. In Southern California, he says he often has to be “very switched on.” In London, it’s calmer. He likes to get into the garden.
“I’m not very good at it, but it’s an activity,” Page says of gardening, which he insists is a pastime rather than a hobby. “It’s more of a kind of watering and singing to the plants and myself.” Usually that’s a soundtrack of Motown and a little bit of Sam Cooke. “The plants never object to Sam Cooke,” Page says. Who would?
When he’s not getting his hands dirty in actual London dirt, Page has been sowing the seeds of a few streaming projects. There’s an erotic thriller called Hancock Park for Netflix and a rom-com for Apple based on the novel Funny You Should Ask by Elissa Sussman. Page has also been developing a new Great Gatsby for the West End stage.
“To my eyes, it’s the best interpretation of the spirit of the book that I’ve seen on paper anywhere,” he says. “It’s a book that lives between the lines.”
He’ll, naturally, play Jay Gatsby. “I like the idea of this chameleon with a past. His striving for this gilded world and his slight misunderstanding of how that will or won’t give him what he wants is almost Ripley-esque,” Page says. “I find him very tragic, but he represents all of us, in that way.”
Gardening returns him to his childhood in Zimbabwe, where his grandparents had a big farm. “I remember going out and picking fresh guavas and avocados,” he says. These days, he doesn’t study gardening or even read about how to do it. “I just wander in and muddle about and work entirely off instinct. I’ll listen to the birds. It’s a grounding thing, when I can be just a human being,” Page says. “I should just call it ‘Time outside, getting my hands dirty and occasionally helping a plant if I’m lucky by mistake,’ but that doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue.”
Gardening and acting, I tell Page, certainly have a lot in common. He agrees. “You spend a lot of time tending to the bulbs,” Page says. Then all the flowers pop at once, in the springtime, and everyone sees the fruit of your labor. “It all happens very quickly, but you’ve spent a long time beforehand, beneath the soil.”
“I’ve spent a lot of time with acting, and I take it very seriously,” he says, shifting to a metaphor about a man who grows bamboo for years without any bamboo to show for himself, to the consternation of his friends. And then, overnight, the bamboo grows 6 feet and no one thinks he’s crazy anymore.
That’s sometimes what it feels like to work as an actor, he explains. “I probably take it slightly too seriously. But I enjoy it, seeing how far I can go. And then to balance it out, when I’m not at work, I try not to work at all.” ■

IN AUGUST WILSON’S JOE TURNER’S COME AND GONE, THE ACTRESS MAKES HER LONG-IN-THE-MAKING BROADWAY DEBUT
By MARSHALL HEYMAN
She turned them down.
“I said, ‘Hell to the no,’” Henson recalls in a phone conversation. “I can sing, but that’s every night, eight shows a week of singing. I can’t do that. I chickened out. I tried to run from Shug Avery.”
Henson may have tried to run from Shug Avery, but the character wound up catching up with her. She scored the part in the film version of the musical in 2023. The New York Times said it was a “role she seems born to play.”
Broadway has wound up catching up with her, too.
This spring, she made her long-in-the-making Broadway debut in a new production of August Wilson’s Joe Turner’s Come and Gone , the second play in his decade-by-decade American Century Cycle . First staged in 1984, it takes place in 1911 at a boarding house run by Seth Holly (here played by Cedric the Entertainer) and his wife Bertha (Henson).
“It’s crazy that something written in the 1980s is still relevant today,” says Henson a few days before previews are set to begin. “You’re talking about identity and selfpreservation and people displaced looking for family members. It’s so poignant. It’s so spot on. Every audience of every color will understand and enjoy this play.”
Director Debbie Allen, the renowned actress and dancer, called Henson to see if she’d consider the part.
“I hadn’t read it in a while, but Debbie said, ‘Taraji, this part has your name all over it,’” Henson says. “The
TAILOR: Jacqui Bennett
Carol Ai
universe picked me for this role and this play and this time. It was meant to be, clearly.”
A lot of worlds collided at once.
First, Henson had studied and performed Wilson’s work when she attended Howard University. The playwright, who died in 2005, came to their class to speak to Henson and her classmates.
Allen is also an alum of Howard University. When Henson was six months pregnant and wasn’t sure how to finish school, she was awarded the first Dr. Andrew Arthur Allen scholarship, created by Allen and her sister, Phylicia Rashad, to honor their father and showcase the most “dynamic triple threat coming out of Howard.”
Then, Allen played Henson’s mom in The Division , one of Henson’s first big television roles; she directed her on the sitcom All of Us; and then directed her again during Henson’s career-defining run as Cookie on Empire. Meanwhile, Rashad played Cookie’s arch nemesis on a season of Empire, too.
Recalls Henson of the moment she got Allen’s call, “I thought, ‘I’ve got to be crazy to say no to this.’”
Allen sees Henson’s return to the stage as a kind of homecoming. “This is where she learned her craft. This is where she soared as a very young woman,” says Allen, who describes casting Henson as a “godsend for me as a director.” “Her work ethic is beyond extraordinary and exemplary, as is the joy she brings to work every day.

She’s the realest person that there is. There’s no part of her personality that isn’t big and honest and beautiful.
The language and poetry of August Wilson is in her DNA, in her blood memory.”
Cedric the Entertainer first worked with Henson in the 2007 movie Talk to Me , then played her husband in 2011’s Larry Crowne. “She’s the realest person that there is,” he says of his friend. “There’s no part of her personality that isn’t big and honest and beautiful. That’s what makes her such an amazing actress, she makes you feel it, no matter what the emotion is that she’s giving you. And to see her do that from the stage is just really powerful.”
Henson is nervous about making her Broadway debut, but “the nerves are good,” she says. “I’m excited.”
In film and television, “I can turn it on and off. I can say, ‘We got this shot, I’m going to go to my room,’” she adds. “But in the theater, you’ve got to stay present. You’re always there. The show must go on. That’s in me. That’s how I was trained. I haven’t done it in a long time, but I feel more in my skin onstage than on camera.”
Being on Broadway is more immediate than the film and TV work she’s done, which includes, recently, the hugely successful Netflix thriller Straw (written and directed by Tyler Perry); appearing as the Scarab on The Masked Singer ; and executive producing the reboot of Star Search
“You know what I can’t get used to? Seeing my face on the marquee of the Barrymore Theatre,” says Henson. “It’s different than seeing your face on a billboard. This is something you’re working on every day. Sometimes, by the time the billboard goes up, it’s in the past. You’ve already done it. You barely remember doing the project.”
But it’s been nice to be in New York, a change from her usual home in Los Angeles. Henson traveled east with her two French

bulldogs, Buddha and Zen. “They haven’t grown into their names yet,” she says. “Zen is the baby, but he’s not Zen yet.”
And she brought a lot of her wardrobe with her.
“In Los Angeles, no one cares. Not one person. But people pay attention to fashion in New York,” Henson says. “I shop all the time. I’m high and low: local designers, a vendor on the street, some person on Instagram. I could shop at a drugstore. Here in New York, I get to wear all the things I purchased, and people pay attention to me just going to work.”
Henson says that despite all her new opportunities, she misses playing Cookie a bit, “but I think we did it with her. She was done,” she says. “If Cookie was still on the air, she would be wearing Schiaparelli gloves.”
Offscreen, Henson says, “[Schiaparelli creative director] Daniel [Roseberry] has me in a chokehold.”
Cookie was an incredibly influential character not just on Henson, but on the entire television and film industry. “Debbie Allen likes to say, ‘You got everybody jobs with that role,’” Henson says. “I’d read scripts and it would describe a character as ‘a Cookie type.’ That was amazing. So many people were looking for Cookie.”
The character also helped Henson offscreen; playing her helped her “learn what my power was.” It led her to create a beauty line called TPH, which, like
Cookie, she recently took full ownership of after launching in 2020 with an incubator company.
“I’m ready to drop all the new products,” she says. “I’m getting excited.”
And then there’s her Seven Daughters wine, which for now features two effervescent varieties. “I hated wine the first time I tasted it,” Henson says, “so it’s a great way to introduce new wine drinkers. It’s light, sweet and easy on the palate.”
Being back in the rehearsal room and getting onstage has made Henson reflect a lot on her career. When she was talking to her younger co-stars, over a few glasses of Seven Daughters wine, “I said to these babies, ‘I had more fun when I was broke and chasing the dream. I think it was more fun then.’”
Now, she says, “I know too much about the business and what goes on behind the curtain. It’s more fun when you don’t know and you’re dumb to the industry.” She says her advice to her younger co-stars has been to be “multifaceted.” To not ignore changes in technology like AI and to never stop performing onstage.
It’s advice Henson is planning to take herself—at least, the performing part.
“I told Debbie yesterday, ‘Debbie, I like it here in New York. I like this feeling I have here onstage. I don’t think I want to go back to Hollywood. I think I want to stay here.’” ■

Inspired by her mother’s Mexican heritage, Dallas native Cristina Lynch wanted to continue telling the story of Mexican art by preserving the traditions of hand embroidery and empowering artisans throughout Mexico. In launching her clothing label Mi Golondrina, Lynch was able to work with artisans in San Antonino Castillo Velasco to create embroidered pieces for women and children. “I was born and raised in Dallas, and my mom is from northern Mexico, so Mi Golondrina has always felt like a reflection of both parts of my story,” says Lynch. “Dallas is such an open, warm and supportive community, and I felt that from the very beginning when we launched in 2013. There is a real culture here of supporting one another, especially among women and small businesses, and I can’t imagine having started this brand anywhere else.” Her pieces are hand-stitched by skilled artisans using methods that have been practiced for more than 200 years. “Each woman who works on each of these dresses takes pride in her work,” says Lynch. “San Antonino Castillo Velasco embroidery has

existed for over 200 years and represents their community. Grandmothers and their granddaughters have mastered this technique not only because it brings additional income to their household but because it represents a joyous part of their culture and identity.” The brand’s signature embroidered dresses have rich Texas roots going back to the 1960s and 1970s. “There has always been such a deep love for Mexico in Texas,” says Lynch. “When I started the brand, I didn’t fully realize how much our pieces would bring back those memories for people. There is a sense of nostalgia and familiarity that created an immediate connection with our customer, which has been incredibly meaningful.” The brand’s devotees aren’t afraid of color and femininity in their daily dressing. “Our customer gravitates toward pieces that feel special but still easy to wear throughout her day,” says Lynch. “She might wear one of our dresses to brunch, to dinner or even just running errands. There is a confidence in the way women here get dressed that I have always admired.” migolondrina.com

Cantina Contramar has opened at Fontainebleau Las Vegas, building on chef Gabriela Cámara’s 27-year legacy of vibrant Mexican dining offering a contemporary twist on cantina classics. “I’ve always believed Mexican hospitality is about generosity and gathering around a delicious meal,” says Cámara. “With Cantina Contramar at Fontainebleau Las Vegas, we are bringing fresh Mexican ingredients to the kitchen and that same sensibility to the table.” Cantina Contramar’s design, conceived by world-renowned architect and AD100 honoree Frida Escobedo, unfolds as a carefully choreographed sequence: Guests enter through a corridor lined with volcanic stone tiles that offers a moment of pause before opening into a bright, open dining room with high ceilings. “Las Vegas is a city built on spectacle, and we wanted Cantina Contramar to feel like a quiet counterpoint to that,” says Escobedo. “It’s a place where you arrive, slow down and are genuinely received.” Handmade tiles from San José de Gracia, hammered copper from Santa Clara del Cobre, volcanic stone surfaces and chairs by Mexican designer Oscar Hagerman reflect a living tradition, where the intelligence of materials and techniques is passed from hand to hand across generations. Cantina Contramar explores the vast landscapes of Mexican flavors, from bright ceviches, aguachiles and raw bar selections to bold entrées and shareable plates, including wagyu carne asada and the acclaimed pescado a la talla Contramarstyle. Each meal concludes with a signature dessert selection that includes Contramar’s classic meringue, fried apple pie and dark chocolate tamal with hoja santa ice cream. fontainebleaulasvegas.com

Tod’s has launched the Marlin project, a collection inspired by the legendary boat once owned by John F. Kennedy. It pays tribute to a lifestyle of simple and authentic pleasures; a day at sea, a conversation among friends, the slow rhythm of summer where conviviality meets natural and timeless elegance. This relaxed and understated spirit bridges the Italian lifestyle, of which Tod’s has always been a global ambassador, and the refined yet relaxed attitude typical of Hyannisport and New England. Marlin itself has strengthened that bond, as for more than 20 years, the boat has sailed the waters of Capri, its new home. The collection’s pieces and accessories, designed for both men and women, capture this balance between sophistication and spontaneity.
Nautically inspired materials and details engage in dialogue with leather, Tod’s signature material, creating products suited for life at sea and outdoors. The palette is rendered in shades of green and cream, a direct homage to the colors of the boat that inspired the project. The collection includes the Marlin Bomber jacket, Marlin loafer, striped Greca belt, a canvasand-leather bag that can be personalized with playful charms and a silk scarf depicting the Marlin. tods.com

It’s soft and fluffy and served alongside a few meat condiments and pickles. It’s an interactive and delicious course.” And, given beverage director and general manager Wuu’s pedigree as a certified sommelier, expect wine and non-alcoholic concoctions like smoked pomegranate infused with cascara and black pepper to be a main event. restaurantnaides.com

The concept of all-day breakfast just became a reality at George + Kin’s, a new modern diner in Napa’s Bel Aire Plaza with a nostalgic bent and a wink to owner Ben Koenig’s (Heritage Eats, Mothers) beloved relatives. “My wife and I are originally from the East Coast, and we grew up with diners where breakfast all day is just how life works,” says Koenig, who co-owns the eatery with business partner Charles Whittaker. “In Napa, a lot of great breakfast spots close early, so we saw an opportunity to bring something genuinely useful to town: a warm, familiar diner vibe that’s there when you want it—morning, mid-day or late afternoon.” The menu, an artful compilation of craft and unpretentious comfort food, is a subtle nod to Koenig’s late Auntie Kinnie and Uncle George Sato, Japanese American farmers from Pocatello, Idado, with housemade Japanese sourdough milk bread in toast and sandwiches and Auntie Kin’s parmigiana plate with a choice of protein breaded in housemade panko and topped with miso marinara and melted cheese. Confections span quintessential Americanainspired handspun milkshakes and banana splits; Uncle George’s carrot bread, an homage to carrots grown on the Satos’ farm; and Kin’s Dream cake, a 12-layer chocolate sponge cake coated with whipped buttercream frosting.
“We want people to feel cared for in a relaxed, not formal, way,” adds Koenig. “It should be the kind of place where the staff learns your name, your kid’s order and how you like your coffee. Napa needs more of that.” georgeandkins.com

here’s something deliciously cinematic about Tiffany & Co.’s latest high jewelry reverie Blue Book 2026: Hidden Garden , which unfolds less like a collection and more like a whispered secret. Here, nature doesn’t simply bloom—it flickers, shifts and transforms in a slow, sun-drenched dance.
At its heart, the collection is an ode to nature’s quieter magic and the almost imperceptible changes that happen between light and shadow. Gemstones feel alive, caught mid-metamorphosis, while sculpted gold and platinum forms seem to move with a rhythm all their own. It’s a world where the familiar—petals, wings, leaves—takes on new life, refracted through imagination and extraordinary craftsmanship.
The spirit of designer Jean Schlumberger lingers throughout, his fantastical flora and fauna reinterpreted with a distinctly modern sensibility by the brand’s chief artistic officer, Nathalie Verdeille, and the Tiffany Design Studio. The result is less homage, more evolution: a lush, dreamlike ecosystem where archival inspiration meets contemporary daring. Motifs twist into unexpected silhouettes, colors collide and harmonize and each piece feels like it holds a secret waiting to be discovered.
Spring’s themes of renewal and transformation pulse through every design. Vines curl in hand-shaped gold, leaves shimmer in platinum and geometry slips effortlessly into organic form. The narrative unfolds across a cast of characters—butterflies, birds of paradise, parrots, bees, jasmine, marguerite, palm—each a chapter in this enchanted tale.
Among them, the Bee story quietly steals the spotlight. Inspired by Schlumberger’s iconic Two Bees ring, it hums with a refined tension between structure and softness. Honeycomb lattices frame luminous oval diamonds, while touches of 18k gold lend warmth and movement. At its center is a showstopping ring anchored by a D-color, internally flawless oval diamond of over 10 carats, its brilliance softened—almost playfully—by hidden figural bees tucked into the design.
