of Dublin City Schools for the Community Champion Awards The Dublin Chamber of Commerce and Dublin City Schools are pleased to announce that they are accepting nominations for the 21st Annual Community Champion Awards. Community members are encouraged to submit nominations through Feb. 20, 2026 at DublinChamber.org/CCA26. Do you know of a Dublin City Schools student in K-12th grade who goes the extra mile to make our community a better place? Maybe someone who organized a fundraiser for the homeless; someone who lends support to a classmate who is new to our country; or volunteers to tutor younger students? Do you know a young person who exhibits genuine kindness, takes responsibility, and makes a positive impact on others? Do you know of a teacher who goes above and beyond to connect and collaborate to help someone in need? These are the Community Champions we want to applaud, and it is up to you to nominate them for this honor! You may nominate as many students
and/or staff members as you wish, so spread the news. Each Community Champion Award honoree will receive a limited edition medal. In addition, twelve seniors will be awarded monetary scholarships to further their posthigh school education or training, and one student in each grade, kindergarten through 11th grade, will receive $250 in a 529 plan account. A Dublin City Schools staff member will also have a monetary donation made in his/ her name to a school project of his/her choice. An awards ceremony will be held at the Jerome High School Center for Performing Arts on April 22, 2026 at 7 pm followed by a dessert reception.

New Dublin Hospital Contributes to Strong Year for Mount Carmel Dublin
Parent company, Trinity Health, which operates hospital systems in 25 states, called out Mount Carmel Dublin in a recent investor presentation as a “hospital of the future.”
City Council Advances Plan for European-Style Market in Dublin
City Council approved an agreement to advance Christkindlmarkt Dublin, Ohio — a European-style holiday market at Riverside Crossing Park, anticipated to debut in 2026. After a competitive selection process, Christkindlmarkt Consulting LLC was selected to lead the effort. Christkindlmarkt Dublin is expected to open next year and take place from the Saturday before Thanksgiving through Christmas Eve.
Dublin City Council Approves More than $250,000 to Local Organizations through 2026 Hotel/Motel Tax
Dublin City Council approved the 2026 Hotel/Motel Tax Grants, a fund designed to provide revenue to improve the quality of life for residents, corporate citizens and visitors. The Hotel/Motel Tax Grant generates funds from a 6% tax on all overnight stays within the City limits. Annually, City Council budgets 6.5% of the previous year’s hotel/motel tax revenue to return funding to community organizations with planned projects that reflect the community’s goals and values.

The Northwest U.S. Route 33 corridor that stretches from Dublin to Marysville and through Union County is one of the most innovative ecosystems in the country. It hosts global brands such as Cardinal Health, ScottsMiracle-Gro and Honda Development & Manufacturing of America. More than 70 automotive companies call the region home, as do the nonprofit Transportation Research Center Inc.
