Biography of Dr. Salvatore Palumbo
Dr Salvatore Palumbo, MD, FACS, FAANS, is a board-certified neurosurgeon and spine specialist on Long Island. He serves as Chief of the Department of Neurosurgery at Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip and as Director of Neurotrauma at the same hospital In 2027, he will mark 25 years at the teaching hospital He also holds the role of Chief of Neurosurgery at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bethpage. He has spent much of his career caring for patients with complex conditions and is recognized for his work both in his practice and across the country

Education
Dr Salvatore completed his undergraduate studies at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He earned his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia He then completed his General Surgery Internship and Neurosurgery Residency at the University of Rochester Strong Memorial Hospital
