describe this parade of fine feathered fellows: “handsome.” It wasn’t “old school” – let’s face, there’s a retro edge to almost all modern fashion, except for Katy Perry and co’s blue flight jumpsuits. The ladies who sported their own clothes (celebs rarely do) worked the gamut from cut out gowns to cleavage gowns to backless gowns. That’s right, it’s a young crowd of models and influencers, so why not work that selfie, girl. The eyeballs of their numerous Instagram followers are in direct opposition their dress size. Celebs went their own way: Selma Blair donned a gold Betsey Johnson number, a corset with tiered full skirt, to present a Lifetime Achievement award to her idol – Betsey twinned in a silver one. Beauty award winner Hailey Bieber (for her best-selling Rhode line) also won for dress of the evening: a blue strapless Schiaparelli midi column (Saint Laurent likely wasn’t happy). Winner Adriana Lima donned Jacquemus, as their new Melrose store was opening that night across town. And Chappell Roan did her best Victoriana punk in Alexander McQueen.
