Nick DeSimone

Dr. Nicholas DeSimone began his professional life in the banking sector, where he built a successful career. Despite his accomplishments, he felt increasingly pulled toward a different kind of work focused on people rather than numbers. Motivated by a desire to make a deeper impact, he decided to leave the financial world and pursue a new path in the behavioral health field. This change marked the beginning of his work with individuals facing addiction and mental health struggles. Starting as an addictions counselor, Dr. DeSimone spent several years working directly with individuals in recovery. The role gave him firsthand insight into the emotional and psychological weight that often comes with substance use. His consistent efforts and ability to connect with clients led to a leadership role as Director of Substance Abuse Services at an outpatient center. In that role, he began to think beyond standard treatment approaches and imagined a place where care would be more complete, personal, and grounded in long-term recovery. That vision led him to establish Lifetime Recovery in Mullica Hill, New Jersey, in June 2017. This outpatient treatment center was designed to offer more than clinical solutions. It aimed to provide individuals with a supportive environment that addressed every layer of their recovery—physical, emotional, and mental. The programs at Lifetime Recovery are structured around the idea that each person’s path is unique, so the care provided should reflect that. In 2021, Nick DeSimone took the next step in his mission by opening Renewed Light Mental Health in West Deptford, New Jersey. This second facility expanded the scope of care to include those facing mental health issues like anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief. Like its sister center, Renewed Light offers outpatient services focusing on building strength and resilience through personalized care.
