Neil Evan Ross, MD, is a physician and business professional with experience in anesthesiology, healthcare operations, and medical leadership. He earned both his undergraduate and medical degrees from Tulane University and Tulane University School of Medicine. Over his career, Dr. Neil Ross has led and developed several anesthesia groups, including Summit Anesthesia and Pinnacle Anesthesia Consultants. He currently resides in Boca Raton, Florida, where he leads Diabetic Practice Solutions LLC. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Neil completed his early education at Ida Crown Jewish Academy. After high school, he moved to New Orleans, Louisiana, to attend Tulane University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. He continued his academic journey at Tulane University School of Medicine, where he completed his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1986. These years laid the educational foundation for a long and diverse professional path in both clinical medicine and healthcare administration. Following medical school, Neil began a surgical internship at Boston University Medical Center. His work in this high-pressure setting provided critical experience in patient care and rapid clinical decision-making. After completing his internship, he returned to New York and entered a residency in anesthesiology at New York University Medical Center. He went on to complete a fellowship in cardiac anesthesia at NYU, gaining focused experience in managing patients undergoing complex surgical procedures. In 1990, Neil accepted a position with Sheridan Healthcare in Hollywood, Florida. He remained with the group until 1996, serving as Director of Cardiac Anesthesia. He also contributed to the organization’s regional growth by participating in contract development and operational support initiatives. His role expanded beyond the operating room, allowing him to gain valuable experience in billing systems, compliance structures, scheduling logistics, and internal staff coordination.
