Timeline Project Description The Basics: What - Using web-based timeline software, you will individually create a project that showcases the chronological development of a medical term of your choosing. Using web-based timeline software, you will individually create a project that showcases the chronological development of a medical term of your choosing. You must choose a word from your textbook, preferably one with significant historical and cultural relevance, such as a condition like glaucoma. Your project involves researching this term's appearances throughout history in Western European/American contexts (at least five points, with one before 1900) and in Middle Eastern, Asian, or African contexts (at least three points). For each point, you will pinpoint the date on Tiki Toki, describe the historical event or context, and explain its importance or relevance. Additionally, you must include multimedia elements to enrich your timeline, such as images, audio, or videos, supporting your narrative and making the timeline engaging. Sources must be cited for all information used, with at least two different sources per point in time, and properly formatted either via URLs or full citations. You will also be graded on the quality of research, clarity of explanations, and integration of multimedia. The timeline should contain a total of eight slides—five from Western European/American history and three from Middle Eastern, Asian, or African history; additional slides beyond eight will not be considered for grading. The final step involves submitting the link to your completed timeline on Tiki Toki under the "Timeline Assignment" section.

Paper For Above instruction The development of medical terminology and its historical significance offer insight into the evolution of medicine and societal understanding of health. For this project, I chose the term “glaucoma,” a common ocular condition that has intrigued physicians and researchers for centuries. By exploring its appearances in historical contexts across different regions, I will illustrate not only the scientific progression but also cultural and societal perceptions that have shaped treatment and awareness of glaucoma. In Western European and American history, glaucoma has frequently been associated with the understanding of eye diseases since the 17th century. The earliest documented mention dates to 1643, when the term entered the English language, emphasizing its perceived severity and the clinical challenges it posed. During the 18th century, the development of ophthalmoscopy by Hermann von Helmholtz revolutionized diagnosis, allowing physicians to observe the optic nerve directly. This technological advancement marked a pivotal moment, transforming the perception of glaucoma from a mysterious
