The assignment will be broken into four parts, which are due at different intervals in the course. For the three-part assignment, choose from the following group types (If you are in the addiction counseling program, select an addiction group): Children of divorce Children of addicts Adult Survivors of abuse (could be sexual or physical) Treatment for adults who are addicts Grief recovery Teens struggling with gender dysphoria (sexual identity) Teen support group (parents who are addicts) Relationship building (homosexual and heterosexual – there does not have to be a division because a group is a group) Domestic violence group for nonoffenders Parenting group. Identify what type of group you will design by selecting one of the group types listed above. Write a 300-word summary of your selected group. Be sure to include the following in your summary: Group type, why you chose this type of group, population serving, number of sessions, number of participants, goals of the counseling group, and at least two scholarly references (not including the course textbook).

Paper For Above instruction The selected group for this project is a support group for teenagers struggling with gender dysphoria. This group aims to provide a safe, empathetic environment where adolescents experiencing gender identity issues can explore their feelings, develop coping skills, and foster self-acceptance. The reason for choosing this group stems from the increasing visibility of gender dysphoria among youth and the lack of accessible peer support tailored specifically to their unique needs. The population served comprises adolescents aged 13 to 18 who are experiencing gender identity challenges, including those who have begun gender transition or are contemplating it. The proposed support group will consist of 8 to 10 participants to ensure individual attention while fostering group cohesion. Sessions are scheduled to run weekly for a total of 10 meetings, each lasting approximately 90 minutes. The overarching goal is to reduce feelings of isolation, improve self-esteem, and provide information about gender identity and related health resources. Specific goals include increasing participants’ understanding of gender dysphoria, promoting healthy coping mechanisms, and cultivating peer support networks.
