Threats To The Global Environment Counterargumentthe Me The members of the United Nations are impressed by your presentation. The information you provided has led to productive debates. There are now questions about prioritizing the issues at hand. Some of the countries are challenging your recommendations and questioning your reasons for not including certain other issues they believe are priorities. There are four remaining threats in the list of major global issues. Review the topics and reflect on two that you did not use in Assignment 3a. Defend your reasons for considering these topics to be less important than the issues you assessed in Assignment 3a. Support your argument with at least three scholarly sources for each threat chosen (a total of at least 6 sources) that can be used to support your position that these two threats are less a priority than the four threats which you chose to assess in assignment 3a.

Paper For Above instruction In evaluating the array of global threats impacting the environment and society, it is crucial to consider which issues warrant the highest priority in terms of their potential for widespread harm. While many challenges, such as energy sources and climate change, stand out, some threats are comparatively less urgent when contextualized against these pressing issues. Here, I will argue that threats like "poor health of entire populations" and "cultural taboos" are less immediate priorities compared to climate change, inadequate education, and resource depletion, which pose more tangible and urgent risks to global sustainability. Firstly, the poor health of entire populations, while significant, tends to be a consequence of underlying systemic issues that are often addressed within broader frameworks of healthcare and social policy. According to Smith et al. (2020), global health concerns, although critical, are somewhat reactive, responding to outbreaks or crises rather than preempting long-term environmental impacts. Moreover, interventions targeting healthcare systems can be highly effective with sufficient resources and technological advancements, making this threat manageable compared to climate change, which entails irreversible and global ecological shifts (Johnson & Lee, 2021). Another point is that health issues are often localized or regional, and although they have ripple effects, they do not inherently threaten the entire planet's ecological stability as climate change does (Williams & Patel, 2019). Secondly, cultural taboos, despite influencing social behaviors and beliefs, are less directly linked to environmental degradation than the other identified threats. Cultural practices, such as dietary restrictions
