We are so busy with work until we forget what we are working for. We work so our families will have everything that they need. What we don't understand sometimes is that our family just wants to spend time with us. I understand that we are in a pandemic and times are stressful but, this is the best time to take time off to unwind. Go to the beach, take a ride to the park or just gather the family together and watch a good movie. The most important thing is to enjoy what you are working for. You can make all the money in the world but it will never make up for the time lost. The special events that the children are participating in and you’re not there. So take time to enjoy life; it only comes around once and then it's over. Some of us have to work a little longer than others and we don't get many opportunities to enjoy time off but you still can make the best of the time you do get off. Take a little time in the morning and the evening to meditate for at least ten minutes; it will work wonders. SECOND CLASSMATE POST: Terrick Phillips This video is a great representation for a lot of people who are working today. So many people are so focused on reaching a financial goal that they tend to lose focus of things that are needed in life, such as relaxation, meditation, and self-care. I don't see anything wrong with staying determined and avoiding distractions, but taking time for yourself should never be seen as an inconvenience. If anything, it is a necessity that one should cherish. Nowadays, so many people are running their own businesses or working towards that big promotion. However, there needs to be a time where a person needs to pause and reflect on their mental and physical state. At times, overworking can cause a person to burn out or end up neglecting things that hold a lot of value, like family, friends, and even self-love. Overall, I strongly agree with the video because it's something people should consider and begin to practice for themselves.
