The current state of AI, however, is mixed; while certain AI capabilities are well-developed and commercially available, others remain experimental or limited by technical, ethical, or regulatory challenges (Duan, Gu, & Chen, 2020). For example, AI-powered chatbots and virtual assistants are widespread, showcasing advanced natural language processing (NLP) techniques. Meanwhile, autonomous vehicles and general AI systems capable of human-like reasoning are still under development. Four notable AI technologies include machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and robotics. Machine learning, a subset of AI, involves algorithms that improve through exposure to data, enabling predictive analytics, fraud detection, and personalization (Goodfellow, Bengio, & Courville, 2016). Natural language processing allows machines to understand, interpret, and generate human language—used in voice assistants, translation apps, and sentiment analysis (Hirschberg & Manning,
