This Week You Will Begin Working On Your Exceptional Learning And Incl This week you will begin working on your Exceptional Learning and Inclusion Project. This project will consist of four mini-projects representing the knowledge you have gained throughout the course, demonstrating your mastery of the course learning outcomes. You will select a project option to showcase your understanding of the history of special education, relevant laws, policies, and procedures that have shaped current inclusion practices. Your chosen project should be applicable to your future career in education. For the first part of your project, focus on the history of special education and laws, policies, and procedures that have influenced the current state of inclusive education, as discussed in Week 1. To prepare, read Chapter 2: Teaching Children in Special Education. Choose one project format from the following options to demonstrate your understanding of the first course learning outcome (CLO): Content Focus Project Choices: Choose one Option CLO 1: Historical Influences Question to Address: How will historical influences inform your current practices for creating learning environments for children with exceptionalities? Project options include: Paper: Write a 2–3-page paper that fully addresses the question. Creative Art: Using Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud Express, create a 1–2-page visual resource addressing the question. Colleague Resource: Develop a 4–6 slide professional development presentation for colleagues that addresses the question. Parent Resource: Design a 2–3-page newsletter for families that addresses the question.
