In the process of researching the cost of health care for my signature assignment, I encountered several challenges, primarily related to access and comprehending complex scholarly articles. One significant issue was finding current and reliable sources that are peer-reviewed and relevant to the specific aspects of healthcare costs I aim to discuss. Many articles were dense, with technical jargon that made comprehension difficult without prior background knowledge, which slowed down the research process. Additionally, some reputable sites, such as government or institutional pages, provided useful data but lacked the depth needed for scholarly analysis.
To overcome these obstacles, I relied on scholarly databases like PubMed and Google Scholar, which provided access to peer-reviewed articles. These sources are invaluable as they contain in-depth research, statistical data, and analysis on healthcare costs, insurance policies, and economic impacts. I also found academic journals such as "Health Affairs" and "The Journal of Healthcare Management" to be particularly helpful because they publish comprehensive research articles that are both credible and relevant to the topic.
One of the key sources I identified is an article titled "The Rising Cost of Healthcare in the United States" published in the *Health Affairs* journal. This article provides a detailed analysis of the factors contributing to increased healthcare costs, including administrative expenses, technology advancements, and aging populations.
