Reflecting on these experiences, I have identified three significant challenges I faced, three lessons I learned, and how these have shaped my personal growth. One of the most immediate obstacles was transitioning from traditional in-person classes to online learning. In the beginning, I struggled with managing my time effectively without the structured environment of a classroom. The absence of face-to-face interaction made it difficult to stay motivated and engaged in coursework. Technical difficulties, such as unreliable internet connections or unfamiliarity with digital platforms, further complicated my ability to participate fully. This abrupt shift also meant losing social interaction with classmates and teachers, which left me feeling isolated and disconnected from the learning community. Another major challenge was balancing academic responsibilities with personal and family obligations. Many students found themselves taking on additional roles at home, such as caring for siblings, supporting family members with health issues, or managing household tasks alongside their studies. For me, juggling these responsibilities while maintaining focus on my academic commitments created a constant state of stress and distraction. The lack of a clear separation between school and home life often led to burnout and diminished my motivation to excel academically. The third obstacle involved maintaining mental health amid the uncertainty and upheaval caused by the pandemic. The constant news about rising infection rates, economic instability, and the health of loved ones contributed to feelings of anxiety and fear.
