This Discussion Provides An Opportunity To Connect Your Personalized L This discussion provides an opportunity to connect your personalized leadership strengths and motivation with your skills as a leader to further develop into an efficient change agent. Being an effective leader who successfully implements change in a school or organization can be challenging. Kouzes and Posner (2007) argued that “leadership is an identifiable set of skills that are available to all of us, not just a few charismatic men and women” (p.20). While this may be true, it requires effort and inspiration to understand oneself and the qualities that contribute to effective leadership. Multiple theories suggest that effective leaders can be cultivated through the deliberate development of specific skills (Senge, 1990). According to Senge (1990, p.3), organizations where people continually expand their capacity to create the results they truly desire are characterized by nurturing new patterns of thinking, fostering collective aspirations, and promoting ongoing learning to see the whole system. By cultivating these skills and understanding our own strengths, we can become leaders capable of making a significant impact within our classrooms, schools, or organizations. You have previously read chapter two of Buczynski and Hansen (2014), which discusses various leadership styles and the combination of behaviors and skills necessary for effective leadership. Lord and Hall, as cited in Buczynski and Hansen (p.57), suggest that “the leadership role must become part of one’s self-identity.” This chapter offers valuable insights for this discussion. Additionally, digital poster presentations are increasingly common in education and other professional fields, serving as essential tools to stay updated and competitive. Gaining experience in creating a digital poster presentation is important, especially as you imagine presenting a high-quality digital presentation to key stakeholders about your action research. The purpose of this discussion is to link your personalized leadership motivation to your skills as a leader to advance your development as an effective change agent. The change enacted through your action research influences your followers and your organizational environment. Motivating yourself to understand and leverage your strengths, as well as addressing areas for growth, profoundly shapes your practice (Rath & Conchie, 2008). Your initial post will involve imagining your participation in a distinguished conference poster session focused on leadership strategies in action research. Your task is to create a one-page digital poster that highlights three leadership and motivation themes derived from this week's readings and your experiences. For each theme, include a one-sentence
