This Assignment Is Closely Related To The Final Research Paper In Week This assignment is closely related to the final research paper in Week Five. For this task, you will present demographic data on a chosen locality (either state, county, or city) in preparation for your final research paper. You will perform secondary data analysis by visiting the US Census Bureau’s American FactFinder or other official government sources for your state, county, or city to identify various social and economic characteristics such as education, population, housing, race, gender, age, and income. You are required to report the relevant statistics and interpret the data to identify indications of social stratification or social inequality within the locale, drawing upon concepts from the textbook "Sociology: Beyond Common Sense." The selected locale should be accessible to you, as you will conduct in-person observations in this area for the subsequent research paper due in Week Five. Your demographic report should follow a specific structure, including an introduction with general socio-economic information about the locale, at least five body paragraphs detailing different social and economic characteristics with specific data (both numbers and percentages), and at least two body paragraphs discussing social stratification and social inequality findings. The paper must conclude with a summary of the socio-economic status based on your findings and related discussions, and it should include a references page citing at least five resources from the Census website and your textbook, formatted in APA style. The length should be between four to five pages.

Paper For Above instruction The demographic analysis of a specific locale provides critical insights into the social and economic fabric that shapes community life. For my assignment, I selected the city of Springfield, a mid-sized urban area in my state, which offers a diverse demographic profile suitable for examining social stratification and inequalities. This report synthesizes secondary data from the US Census Bureau and other official sources, coupled with in-person observations, to offer a comprehensive view of Springfield’s socio-economic landscape and the underlying social disparities. Springfield’s population, according to the latest census data, stands at approximately 150,000 residents. The age distribution indicates a youthful demographic, with roughly 25% under 18 years, 60% adults aged 18-64, and 15% seniors over 65. The city’s racial composition is predominantly White (55%), followed by African American (25%), Hispanic or Latino (15%), Asian (4%), and other races (1%). These figures highlight the city’s racial diversity. Socio-economically, the median household income in Springfield is
