Part I – Analysis of the External Environment As part of the Strategic Business Plan, you are asked to identify and analyze the major driving forces for change in the external environment of the motorcycle industry. You should analyze the dynamics of competition using Porter's Five Forces model and correctly assess the competitive dynamics within the industry. Additionally, provide at least three statistics regarding the size of the motorcycle industry, such as revenue figures, growth rates, or units sold by manufacturer or country. Summarize the strategic issues firms in this industry face, highlighting their biggest threats. This section should be titled "The Analysis of H-D's External Environment". Part II – Internal Environment Analysis For this part, gather financial data necessary for ratio analysis and the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) key metrics. If creating a BSC, determine key metrics for each of the four areas: Financial, Customer, Internal Business Processes, and Learning & Growth. Perform a ratio analysis based on Harley-Davidson’s five-year financial performance. Interpret what these ratios reveal about the company’s financial health and the effectiveness of its strategic actions. This section should be titled "The Analysis of H-D's Current Strategy: Two Views". Including visual aids such as graphs can support your analysis. Furthermore, based on your industry and company analysis, identify the two competitors that pose the biggest competitive threats to Harley-Davidson. Conduct a financial ratio analysis for these competitors over the same five-year period, comparing their trends with industry averages. Develop a clear ranking of these competitors based on their threat level and financial performance. This section should be titled "Competitor Analysis" and may include supporting graphics.
