This assignment has three parts: Is performance linked to business perf This assignment has three parts: Is performance linked to business performance? Share a specific company example that you feel supports your position. Based on your knowledge, what types of products do not fit well in the e-commerce model? Why? Have you ever been involved in any step of the System Development Life Cycle? If so, what did you learn? If not, how does the system development life cycle impact an organization?

Paper For Above instruction Performance metrics and their alignment with overall business performance are crucial for evaluating organizational success. There is a significant correlation between employee, operational, and technological performance and the broader financial and strategic outcomes of a company. To illustrate this, Amazon exemplifies how employee productivity and technological efficiency directly influence business performance. Amazon’s emphasis on streamlined logistics, innovative e-commerce platform, and data-driven decision-making contribute to its market dominance and profitability. High-performance levels in these areas translate into faster delivery times, increased customer satisfaction, and robust sales figures, demonstrating that performance is inherently linked to business success. On the other hand, not all products are suitable for the e-commerce model, particularly those requiring tactile inspection or personalized services. For instance, high-end luxury goods such as designer jewelry or bespoke furniture often do not fit well online because customers prioritize physical examination and personalized consultation before making a purchase. Additionally, certain perishable items like fresh produce and fresh baked goods face logistical challenges in e-commerce due to their limited shelf lives and the need for immediate delivery to maintain quality. These products rely heavily on sensory evaluation and immediate, often in-person, transactions to meet customer expectations. Regarding the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), my personal involvement has exposed me to its structured phases: planning, analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. I have learned that adherence to SDLC ensures systematic development, minimizes errors, and improves project success rates. For instance, during a university project involving the development of a client management system, understanding SDLC phases helped in systematically gathering requirements, designing functionalities, and testing the system thoroughly before deployment. This experience underscored the importance of documentation, stakeholder involvement, and iterative testing in delivering a reliable system.
