Task: You will work individually to prepare a 5-10 minute presentation on a topic related to one of the themes covered in the module: An Electronic World, New Frontiers or The Individual and Society. This theme, and your presentation title, will also be the topic of your end-of-term individual essay assignment, so make sure you find it interesting and can find enough relevant sources. Determine which theme you wish to explore and select a corresponding title. Your presentation should draw on research related to your chosen topic and include visuals in the form of PowerPoint or Google Slides. You will be assessed on your delivery (language, presentation techniques), content and structure (logicality, organization), development and support of your thesis using relevant data and examples, citation of sources, and your ability to respond to audience questions. A copy of your slides must be sent to your tutor before the first summative session, and attendance at each presentation is mandatory. Presentations should last between 5-10 minutes, with up to 3 additional minutes reserved for questions. The slides must display your ID number, not your name. Incorporate at least three academic sources beyond your core textbook, “Climate Change and Aviation: Issues, challenges and solutions” by Stefan Gosling and Paul Upham.
