There Are Several Independent Governmental Organizations That Monitor Access the Web site of one of the specified organizations, identify a major public health issue (global or regional) that is a priority, and create a presentation focusing on this issue. Describe the technical details of the issue, the mechanisms through which public health is affected, its duration, causes, environmental impact, populations affected, geographical scope both current and past, strategies employed by other countries, and their success. Include how experts are addressing the issue, such as available vaccines, water sanitation, infrastructure needs, and monitoring efforts. Support your presentation with scholarly references, organize content using APA formatting, ensure logical flow, and prepare speaker notes for each slide. The presentation should be 10-12 slides plus references, in PowerPoint format.

Paper For Above instruction Public health challenges remain a central concern for global health governance, with organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO) playing a pivotal role in monitoring and responding to health crises. For this assignment, I selected the WHO’s assessment of tuberculosis (TB) as a significant public health issue. This infectious disease continues to affect millions worldwide, representing a critical area of concern due to its persistence, impact, and the challenges associated with its control and eradication. Technical Details and Mechanisms Through Which Public Health Is Affected Tuberculosis is caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis . It primarily affects the lungs but can invade other tissues, leading to extrapulmonary TB. Transmission occurs through airborne droplets expelled when a person with active TB coughs, sneezes, or speaks. The disease's progression depends on the host's immune response; latent TB can persist for years without symptoms but may reactivate under immunosuppressive conditions, leading to active disease. This biological mechanism facilitates the sustained presence of TB in populations, especially where healthcare infrastructure is weak. Public health is affected through increased morbidity and mortality, strain on healthcare facilities, and economic burden. TB disproportionately impacts vulnerable populations, including those with HIV/AIDS, malnourished individuals, and the impoverished, perpetuating cycles of poverty and ill health.
