There Are Many Elements To Consider When Designing An Organizational S There are many elements to consider when designing an organizational structure. Let's start by each of picking one of the six key elements and discussing why that element is important to the overall success of the design. Please cite your sources. Change is a constant factor in both our personal and work lives. There seems to be resistance to change whether the change will be good or bad. People resist change for several reasons, including fear of the unknown, loss of control, lack of trust in management, and concern about increased workload or failure (Kotter, 1996). Resistance can also stem from previous negative experiences with change initiatives or a belief that change threatens their job security or established routines (Oreg, 2006). Understanding these psychological and organizational factors is critical for leaders aiming to implement effective change management strategies that minimize resistance and foster adaptation. A learning organization is an organization that actively facilitates the learning of its members and continuously transforms itself to better respond to internal and external changes (Senge, 1990). It encourages a culture where experimentation, reflection, and continuous improvement are embedded in daily practices. Such organizations value knowledge sharing, promote open communication, and empower employees at all levels to innovate and develop skills. The goal of a learning organization is to create an environment where adaptive capacity and resilience are ingrained, enabling sustained performance amidst rapid change. The primary difference between an inside and an outside board of directors lies in their composition and connection to the organization. An inside board includes members who have a close or operational connection to the organization, such as executives or senior managers. They often have a personal stake in the company’s success and provide insight into internal operations. Conversely, an outside board, also known as a independent or non-employee board, consists of members who are not involved in the day-to-day running of the organization. They offer external perspectives, oversight, and strategic guidance, which can enhance governance and hold management accountable (Carver, 2006). Both types of boards play essential roles in ensuring effective oversight, but outside directors are particularly valued for their objectivity and broader industry or domain expertise.
