The purpose of the project is to give students an opportunity to discuss a key political science concept and to demonstrate a basic understanding of academic research and reporting skills. The project consists of producing a well-structured essay on one of the provided topics, along with a Works Cited page listing sources used in the essay. The assignment must be formatted according to the Modern Language Association (MLA) style. Students should research MLA formatting to ensure proper compliance; papers not formatted correctly will not receive a passing grade. Students should use Courier or New Courier font in 12-point size, double-space the text, and set one-inch margins on all sides of the document. Additionally, the paper should adhere to MLA style guidelines for formatting a paper without a title page. Choose one of the following topics for your essay: - In Chapter 5, "Voting, Campaigns, and Elections," how is voter turnout measured?
