In the evolving landscape of healthcare, access remains a persistent challenge for many populations, particularly those in rural areas, individuals with mobility issues, or those facing socioeconomic barriers. The media piece I reviewed highlights how technological innovations—such as telehealth services and online health information systems—offer promising solutions to improve healthcare access. My professional interest in this topic stems from my work in community health, where I frequently encounter patients who struggle to access traditional healthcare services due to geographic or transportation issues. Understanding the role of digital health interventions is crucial for developing effective, accessible healthcare delivery models.

To explore this area further, I conducted searches in academic databases such as PubMed, CINAHL, and Google Scholar using keywords including "telehealth," "online health information seeking," "healthcare access," and "rural nursing." My criteria for article selection centered on currency (published within the past five years), peer-reviewed status, relevance to healthcare access barriers, and focus on digital health interventions.
