Fall festivities were in full swing last week, as the community turned out for several local autumn happenings. LEFT- MiEnergy Cooperative hosted an event for its members on Friday, Oct. 18 at Pinter’s Gardens and Pumpkins west of Decorah. Adults and children alike milled about the Pinter’s property, enjoying games, wagon rides, miniature gold and other activities. Visitors also had the opportunity to purchase a variety of treats and beverages as well as receive a complimentary pumpkin for each child. ABOVE- Costumed youngsters also gathered Saturday, Oct. 19 at Decorah’s Pulpit Rock Campground for some early trick or treating following the Decorah Park and Recreation’s inaugural Fall Frenzy. The Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce hosted Witches Night Out on Thursday, Oct. 17 in downtown Decorah. Participants donned costumes — some with pointy black hats and others with pink frills — before meandering among the participating businesses for a night of shopping, drinks and other special events like a photo booth and trivia contest.
