hank you for joining us for this newest chapter in DPAC’s history, our 18th year of presenting the biggest shows in the world that play theaters and performing arts centers. The new Broadway season once again reminds me of all that is possible with musical theatre and the incredible performances of Broadway at DPAC. There are 2,700 seats at DPAC, which means that during any given performance, there are 2,700 different relationships to the sights, sounds, emotions, and songs that make these performances so incredibly moving, often funny, and always memorable. Before the lights dim and the curtain rises, look to your left and look to your right, and consider that every show this season offers the chance for connection, to the story onstage and to each other. From the newest Broadway hits to fan favorites to the eternal, classic blockbusters, adventure awaits with each performance in our 2026/2027 season. Most of all, it is my hope that you will find several new “best ever” shows and performances this season. For me, the Broadway musicals I hold closest are often about the beauty and sometimes heartbreak of life, when the world onstage moves into the unknown and unexpected. This season you may find that with two of my favorite new shows, Buena Vista Social Club and Maybe Happy Ending. With remote work, ever more screen time, and the era of AI coming at us from every direction, there are few things that feel so quietly important as sitting in a room together and listening to a story. The human connection when we gather for the shared experience of a live entertainment event can be a reminder we are not alone. So, I ask that you look to your neighbors on your left and on your right and feel this sense of community, brought together by the power of Broadway. In Spring 2026, DPAC named Mollie Reeves (Cardinal Gibbons High School) and Gabriel Emery (Wake Forest High School) The DPAC Rising Star Awards’ Best Actress and Best Actor winners. Mollie and Gabriel then went on to compete nationally at The Jimmy Awards®. This year, the national competition included a total of 116 nominees representing 58 Regional Awards Programs from across the country. Mollie and Gabriel worked with Broadway professionals and made their Broadway debuts on Nederlander’s Minskoff Stage, where Disney’s The Lion King performs to sold out audiences nightly. he Performing Arts Ambassadors at DPAC program offers students unique, memorable, and impactful experiences that serve as a preview and a first step in preparing students for future careers in performing arts management. As part of the team at DPAC, Ambassadors shadow staff across multiple disciplines at DPAC including Marketing, Ticketing, Production, Audience Services and more. The experience continues for Ambassadors as they attend a wide variety of DPAC events, including Broadway, Concert, Comedy and Special Events plus have exclusive opportunities to go behind-the-scenes at some of DPAC's biggest events. With an emphasis on content creation, Ambassadors receive media training and report on their experiences via videos, online blogs, and social media posts. onsider donating them to DPAC's Discover Broadway program. As a Broadway at DPAC Member, you have the option to donate tickets you cannot use, preventing valuable seats from going to waste. Your generosity allows students and teachers at Durham Public Schools, and seniors with Durham Housing Authority to experience the magic of Broadway and live entertainment. It’s easy to help: •

If you know in advance that you cannot attend a show, or even if one member of your party will not be joining you, simply contact DPAC at DiscoverBroadway@dpacnc.com.

You will receive an acknowledgement from DPAC that your unused tickets will be transferred from your account and donated to an area student, teacher, or senior.

DPAC will handle all details and provide instructions to the recipient on how to access their tickets. 

At DPAC, we’re committed to Guest Courtesy. Please remember to be a good neighbor to those seated around you.

After the Performance Yes, the lobby gets busy and the parking lots can be tricky, but please remain at your seats until the houselights come up. As a courtesy to the performers and other audience members, DPAC asks that you do not rush for the exits prematurely at the end of the performance.

Entering and Exiting the Seating Area Please time your exits and re-entry

to the seating area to occur only at intermission or breaks between songs. This is a courtesy to other guests around you who will appreciate you keeping these disruptions to a minimum.

Kids at DPAC Please note that all guests require a ticket, regardless of age. Children under the age of 6 are not allowed at most DPAC performances including Broadway, Concerts and Comedy shows. For some shows, DPAC will make recommendations on the appropriate minimum age based on the content and the length of the event. Parental discretion is always advised and judgment of the appropriateness of the content for each show should be made on an individual basis prior to purchase. Children must be able to sit quietly in their own seat without disturbing other guests. As a further courtesy to our guests, DPAC recommends one parent or chaperone for every one child in attendance. It Can Wait Please save texting until AFTER the show. The light from phones is distracting to others throughout the theater. Please keep them turned off.

It’s Superstar Entertainment, Not a Food Fest Small snacks and drinks are welcome in the seating area, but as a courtesy to those around you, eat and drink as quietly as possible. Please know that odors and noisy wrappers can disturb others. We also ask that you finish sandwiches or other large food items before entering the seating area. At DPAC, each event that we host determines their own policy on photography and video recording using mobile phones. We enforce these policies at their direction. Please note that GoPro’s, tablets, and cameras of any kind are prohibited at all DPAC events. Photography and video recording using mobile phones is not permitted at all Broadway shows.

Quiet Please Once the show starts, please let the stage be the center of attention. We ask that you turn off all cell phones and limit conversation. If children are attending this performance with you, please exit the theater immediately if they become restless or talkative. 
