A certain parcel of land located in Center Barnstead, County of Belknap and State of New Hampshire, and being Lot #7 as shown on Plan of Lowden Property dated July 13, 1971, recorded in Plan Book 32, Page 2484, Belknap County Records, further bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at an iron pin on the northerly side of a "new road" as shown on said plan at the westerly corner of said Lot #7; thence running northeasterly 260 feet, more or less, to the westerly corner of Lot #4; thence runningsoutheasterly along Lot #4 and Lot #5 285 feet, more or less, to the northerly corner of Lot #6; thence running southwesterly along Lot #6 300 feet, more or less, to an iron pin on the northeasterly side of said new road; thence running northwesterly along said road 290 feet, more or less, to the bound begun at. Meaning to describe and convey Lot#7 on said plan.
Including the right to use, in common with others, for travel on foot and with vehicles, the roads as laid out and shown on said plan, including the "new road",to reach the Beach Area, and the right to use the Beach Area of about 200 feet along the shore, in common with other lot owners enjoying the said Beach Area and with their guests, for bathing and recreational uses only.

Origin: Granted in 1727, this community was one of several established to deal with rapidly expanding population in the seacoast area. A majority of new settlers came from either Barnstable on Cape Cod or Hampstead on Long Island, and the name Barnstead is a conjunction of the two. Barnstead Parade, the town's central highway, was located on the Province Road which ran between Portsmouth and the Governor's summer house in Wolfeboro
