Downtown Houston Sponsorship catalog
Letter from OUR CEO
Since stepping into the role of leading Downtown Houston+, I have seen a clear and compelling opportunity to strengthen how we partner with Houston’s business community. Houston is the forefront of business, and it deserves partnerships that are as bold, strategic and forward-looking as the city itself.
Last year, we activated our Central Houston Civic Improvement Corporation (501c3) and grew our internal capacity with our Strategic Initiatives + Development Department to thoughtfully lead this work and steward meaningful private sector partnerships. Our team took a comprehensive look at our portfolio of public-facing programs, events and placemaking initiatives. We analyzed performance, audience reach and impact, and aligned those insights with our long-term vision for Downtown.
As a result, we are pleased to bring you this sponsorship catalog, offered for the first time as a cohesive, curated package of opportunities designed to deliver visibility, value, and measure impact.
From Central Houston Inc. Member Events to Holiday Sweet Spots, to our Blanket Bingo – each opportunity reflects our commitment to moving the business community forward, strengthening Downtown’s vitality and recognizing the companies that help make it possible.
We look forward to working with you to move Downtown forward as a connected and thriving place for everyone.
Kristopher Larson, AICP, LPM President & CEO

About
Downtown Houston+
Downtown Houston+ (DTH+) is the public facing brand representing four organizations, which are responsible for enhancing the economic vitality, livability, and perception of Downtown Houston through programming, placemaking, advocacy, and investment. DTH+ delivers high-impact initiatives that support businesses, residents, workers, and visitors while positioning Downtown as a premier destination for culture, commerce, and community.
The Four Organizations

Central Houston, Inc.
Founded in 1983, Central Houston, Inc. (CHI) is the membership-based advocacy and leadership organization for Downtown Houston. Through its board of civic, corporate, and institutional leaders, CHI advances policy, partnerships, and strategic initiatives that support Downtown’s economic competitiveness, business climate, and long-term growth. CHI is funded by its members and serves as a convener and voice for Downtown’s business community.

Houston Downtown Management District
In 1996, the Texas legislature created Houston Downtown Management District to protect and beautify the public realm, provide programming and marketing, and plan and catalyze economic development. Guided by a diverse board, it is funded through a fair and proportionate assessment on real property.

Central Houston Civic Improvement Corporation
Founded in 1984, CHCI is the charitable and philanthropic entity supporting Downtown Houston+ initiatives that advance public benefit and community impact through placemaking, arts and cultural programming, and community-focused projects. Contributions made through CHCIC may be eligible for tax-deductible treatment as allowed by law.

Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone #3
Downtown Redevelopment Authority / TIRZ #3 improves Downtown’s economic wellbeing through capital and operational investments in parks, infrastructure, safety, and other public realm improvements. It is governed by a city-appointed or confirmed board and made possible by reinvesting incremental property taxes within the zone’s boundaries.
Highlights include enhanced clean and safe services, strong digital engagement, and measurable economic and placemaking outcomes.
