First polymer note! First Prefix!
Issued to mark 200 years of European settlement of Australia, the 1988 Bicentennial $10 was Australia’s first commemorative note, and the world’s first polymer note. One of the most important issues in global currency history, this pioneering type is a must-have for every Australian collection.
An exceptional and surprisingly affordable opportunity, this is your chance to secure one of the first notes printed as part of the second issue of the 1988 Bicentennial $10. The second issue took place after it was discovered that the first issue had a faulty security feature – the ‘Captain Cook window’, known as an Optical Variable Device.
With a tiny number of Uncirculated notes available – each distinguished by the First Prefix AB10 – you must act now.

Australian legal tender, the 1970 Captain Cook 50c carried a portrait of the famous explorer based on a painting by John Webber, who accompanied Cook on his third Pacific voyage. The work of Stuart Devlin, the 1970 Captain Cook 50c is thought to be the world’s first coin type to carry a facsimile signature as part of the design.

Historic, important and extremely rare

A genuine artefact of early 20th century Australian history, and an everlasting memento of one of the nation’s foremost companies, we are delighted to present this extremely rare set of gold medals from the 1930 All Australian Exhibition!
Founded by Francis Hardy Faulding in Adelaide in 1845, Faulding is synonymous with pharmaceuticals in this country, keeping Australians healthy for 180 years! An industry leader, the company’s most important innovation was the processing of eucalyptus oil as an antiseptic. Faulding’s success was based on this breakthrough, and it is for ‘Eucalyptus Oil & Derivatives’ that one of the four medals presented here was awarded!
Awarded to Faulding at the South Australian Chamber of Manufactures Inc All Australian Exhibition of 1930, each of the four medals is struck from approximately 18 grams of 9-carat gold. In ‘as struck’ condition, and notable for the handsome glossy brilliance of the golden surfaces, each individually inscribed medal is presented in the superbly preserved original box of issue.
Don’t miss this golden opportunity to secure unique, extremely rare artefacts of Australia’s commercial heritage!

An officially licensed Holden product, this collection unites 21 full-colour, 24-carat goldplated Australian pennies – each celebrating a different classic Holden car! Notable for the limited edition of just 5,000, the set is now $238 off regular retail!

A key chapter in the polymer revolution, Australia’s polymer $50 series began in 1995 – exactly 30 years ago. What better way could there be to celebrate this major milestone in our currency history than by securing an example of Australia’s very first polymer $50 note?
Scarce in top grade today, with the high denomination $50 representing too much spending power for people to casually pop aside for posterity, we have the groundbreaking 1995 Fraser/Evans polymer $50 in strictly Uncirculated quality!

Very scarce, particularly in premium grade, this set comprises all three standard Australian $50 types in strictly Uncirculated quality –signatures of our choice.
