Introduction

This collateral guide has been developed to ensure all properties across the globe are maintaining a consistent expression of the DoubleTree by Hilton™ brand across all touchpoints. All collateral items listed in this document are available on DoubleTree marKIT, by contacting CreativeDrive or supplied by a Hilton-approved vendor.

In this document you will find:

• A list of all brand standard (required) and optional collateral provided by the brand

• Where to find each item

• Where each item should be used on property

• The language options available

• The customization and printing process for all materials

Accessing Guidelines and Templates

These guidelines are to be used in conjunction with DoubleTree collateral templates located on marKIT. DoubleTree marKIT is the onestop shop for all of your marketing needs and will always have the most up-to-date marketing tools, resources and information.

Understanding marKIT

What does “collateral” mean?

All printed and digital materials that the brand provides to facilitate on-property operations and sales and marketing activations.

All collateral is listed as: front desk (example: key cards, Wi-Fi instructions), in-room (example: door hangers, TV guides), sales & marketing (example: advertisements, posters), food and beverage (example: menus, signage) or miscellaneous (example: shuttle wrap guidelines, business cards).

Brand Standard and Optional Collateral

Collateral is listed as “Brand Standard” or “Optional” throughout this document. Guest-facing collateral must be customized and downloaded/ordered on DoubleTree marKIT or ordered through the approved vendor listed in this guide. Hotels are not permitted to create guest-facing collateral on property or with vendors outside of those listed in these guidelines.

Brand Standard Collateral

Items which are mandatory and must be available on property as stated in the DoubleTree Brand Standards . These items are required and reviewed during property QA inspections.

The brand standard items are listed at the beginning of this guide. The collateral guide has been designed to mirror the “Hotel Collateral and Identity” section of the DoubleTree Brand Standards Manual (section 806.00). Please review section 806.00 of the brand standards as well as section 800 “Identity, Sales and Distribution” to familiarize yourself with the complete list of brand standards and regional requirements.

Optional Collateral

Optional collateral items are listed following the brand standard collateral in this guide. Optional items are materials that are not required for QA, but may be useful to create a better experience for hotel guests.

Properties may use and order these items as needed. If your hotel does have a use for any of the optional items provided by the brand and listed in this guide, you MUST order the approved collateral offered on marKIT.

Understanding marKIT

Icons

It will be helpful to familiarize yourself with the icons on the marKIT platform. Although all Downloads and Customizable Templates on marKIT are free of charge, the property must still cover the printing costs (with the exception of the few items that can be printed on standard paper on property).

Artwork is downloaded directly from marKIT, and cannot be edited. User is responsible for printing or producing.

Select layout, choose your language and make changes such as edit copy, images and logo depending on the template (refer to “marKIT Template User Guide”).

Fulfill an order with print vendor through marKIT directly.

Throughout the collateral guide you will notice that certain items require customization outside of marKIT using approved third-party vendors, including:

Bespoke/custom item costs are listed within the order forms available on marKIT or a price quote/estimate will be provided once you contact the vendor.

On marKIT you will see several different template tags for the international regions (APAC and EMEA).
