The Churches of Christchurch Organise A Parliamentary Election Hustings
Four Christchurch churches have partnered together to host Christchurch Churches Parliamentary Election Hustings at 7.30pm on Wednesday 15th April. The Hustings will be held at Twynham School, Sopers Lane. The event is free of charge and promises to be a great opportunity to hear the views and opinions of the candidates who are standing for the Christchurch seat in the House of Commons. Revd. Chris Brockway of Christchurch Baptist Church, lead organiser, said, “Hustings are public meetings where election candidates speak to potential voters. They are a great way to hear directly from the candidates and to ask them questions about the issues you care about. We are delighted that Christopher Chope (Conservative MP for Christchurch), Andrew Satherley (Labour), Robin Grey (UKIP) and Shona Dunn (Green Party) have confirmed that they will be in attendance. Sadly Andy Canning, the Liberal Democrat candidate, is not able to attend but we are hoping the Liberal Democrats will send a representative.” Christchurch’s current Member of Parliament, since May 1997, Christopher Chope OBE, said, “I would like to thank Chris Brockway and the Christchurch Churches for organising this event. It provides an important opportunity for Christchurch residents to ask questions of their Parliamentary candidates prior to the General Election so that they can make an informed choice on 7th May.” Robin Grey, The UKIP candidate, said, “I am looking forward to the hustings hosted by local churches here in Christchurch. I welcome the opportunity to explain why I am standing for parliament as the UKIP candidate. UKIP
believes that our political system is broken and career politicians are not looking out for ordinary people. I have lived in the real world and come to this point rather late in life and have no other motive than to do what is right by my country and the people of Christchurch and I know that once elected I will demonstrate my commitment beyond doubt.” Andrew Satherley who is the Labour Party Candidate for Christchurch said, “I am greatly looking forward to the opportunity to listen to the people of Christchurch on issues of national and local importance, and to setting out Labour’s vision for the protection of our public services, investment in the skills of the next generation, and direct action to tackle the cost of living crisis”. “At this critical time in society…”, commented Shona Dunn the Green Party Candidate, “…it’s more important than ever to engage in politics - they affect our daily lives and determine our quality of living. Consequently, I’m extremely grateful for the hard work of the Christchurch Churches in organising this event and giving the people of Christchurch this wonderful opportunity to get involved.” The Husitngs promises to include some lively and informative debate covering all the issues, local and national, which are of concern to local residents. ELVIS WAS IN THE BUILDING More than 130 guests enjoyed an evening of fine food and entertainment at a Gala Charity Dinner organised by Cllr Robin Cook, Chairman of East Dorset District Council, in support of Alzheimer’s Society and Friends of Victoria Hospital Wimborne. The event was held at the Dudsbury Hotel Golf Club and Spa in Parley. Star attraction of the evening was Garry J Foley, an award winning Elvis Presley tribute act, with his amazing performance of the great 1968 Comeback Special and the Las Vegas Years. An added attraction was an appearance by Col Tom Parker, Elvis’s manager, together with Josie, a Las Vegas Showgirl, kindly sponsored by Land & Plot Finder Wimborne. The evening raised over £2700, which, together with totals raised from other fundraising events held by the Chairman during his Civic Year, will be presented to the charities at the Annual Council meeting on 18th May. Cllr Cook said ‘It was a wonderful evening and I believe all the guests enjoyed the party atmosphere. I would like to thank everyone who supported me in raising this fine total, in particular Garry who performed free and the Dudsbury for their fine service’. The next (and final) fundraiser is a St Georges Day Concert to be held in Wimborne Minster on Thursday

Registering for the upcoming Parliamentary and Local Elections Poll cards are being sent this week to everyone in Christchurch and East Dorset who is entitled to vote at the upcoming elections on 7 May 2015. Due to changes in legislation last year there was no annual canvass so anyone who has moved or has not received a poll card by 5 April may not be registered. People can still apply to register to vote for these elections up until 20 April 2015 by going online to www.gov.uk/registerto-vote. A resident of Christchurch or East Dorset who does not have access to the PU[LYUL[ JHU JHSS [OL ,SLJ[PVUZ 6ɉJL VU 01202 795078 to be sent a form. Please note that due to these legislative changes for registration people now also need to provide their date of birth and National Insurance Number when applying they should make sure they have this to hand.
Anyone unable to attend their polling station on 7 May for any reason, such as work, holiday etc, can apply for a postal or proxy vote. The deadline for completed applications for a postal vote is 5pm on Tuesday 21 April 2015. The deadline for a completed proxy application, so another person can vote on behalf of the registered person, is 5pm on Tuesday 28 April 2015.
Forms can be downloaded at www.aboutmyvote.co.uk for a postal or proxy vote but the application cannot be completed online as a signature is required. Anyone without access to the internet can call the ,SLJ[PVUZ 6ɉJL ^OV ^PSS ZLUK `V\ out a form.

To Let or not To Let?

Over the past few weeks I’ve noticed a huge increase in people calling into the office or phoning me – many having read the articles that I have been writing over the past year in magazines such as this. Many are contemplating the possibility of buying a property (sometimes Jeremy Clarke more than one) with a view to letting it out but are naturally nervous about the whole process. So why do they come and see me, what can I tell them that will put their minds at rest? To be blunt I cannot make them any promises but after 26 years in this business I can at least give them the reassurance that over that period of time I have spoken to hundreds of people in the same situation. Over the years I’m sure that the majority of the people that I’ve spoken to have decided that Buy to Let was not for them but I know of lots that have taken the plunge and have never regretted it. This week I watched a TV programme “benefit tenants” and let’s be frank if the lettings business was all like that nobody would want to come into this business! Let me assure you that Christchurch and the surrounding areas are nothing like that TV programme. The problem with TV shows is that they are looking for sensationalism, normality doesn’t sell so they seek out the very tip of an iceberg and make it seem as if that’s the norm. Getting it right is a balance, a balance of picking the right area, picking the right property, taking advice before you commit to spending money and then taking advice on what may need doing to maximise your investment. Finally of course the final piece to this jigsaw is selecting the right tenants. From this office we manage approximately 150 properties, all for private landlords like you. Since we opened Belvoir Christchurch in 2003 we have concentrated on giving good advice (as above) and as a result of that I can tell you that we currently have just 1 tenant in arrears and we have been to court twice to apply for possession of a property. I don’t think therefore that the odds are that bad, certainly the rewards and benefits far outweigh the bad; just ask any of my current or previous landlords. So, if you’ve been reading the articles, been sitting on the fence feeling a bit nervous and maybe thinking about coming in to ask for advice; please feel free, we are open 6 days a week, if you call in unannounced and I’m not available I’ll come back to you. Talking about Wildlife...
Walk for wildlife this Spring This spring, Dorset Wildlife Trust is asking not just what we can do for wildlife, but what wildlife can do for us. There are many mental and physical benefits to spending time outside, and for many of us, it is a luxury, and a great way to spend time with the family. That feeling of breathing in fresh air, or the achievement of climbing a hill to take in a stunning view (of which there are plenty of in Dorset), can’t be matched by any computer game or television show. Statistics also show that we should be aiming to spend at least 30 minutes of good quality time outside, every day. This is a great habit to get children into especially, as the great outdoors still holds so much for them to learn about. So this Easter if you’re looking for a challenge, something to do with the family outside, and a way to raise money for charity, with some beautiful coastal views along the way, Dorset Wildlife Trust’s (DWT) ‘Walk for Wildlife’ might be just the thing for you. Walk for Wildlife has been running for over 10 years, and is one of the highlights in DWT’s year. This year, the walks start and finish at Leeson House, near Swanage. There are three to choose from, and for the first time there is a new 2 miles route suitable for families*, and lots of activities are also on offer at the start and finish, including face painting, a puppet show with the ‘Hand to mouth theatre’, and a special prize for the school with the most amount of walkers.
The 6 mile and 13 mile routes both take in the rugged scenery of the Purbeck coastline, with a good chance of seeing puffins, dolphins and gannets out at sea, whilst the coastal path should provide opportunities to spot peregrine falcons and ravens, as we as newly arrive migrants such as wheatear and swallows. We are also asking those taking part to raise some money for Dorset Wildlife Trust through sponsorship – this is a great way for us to continue helping wildlife in Dorset, and for participants to feel they are giving something back to wildlife, whilst burning some calories at the same time! Merton Table Tennis Club Merton Table Tennis Club, is a well established club formed over sixty years ago. Based at St James Institute, 33a Stourfield Road, Southbourne. BH5 2AR. We have a specially equipped hall to the rear of the building, providing excellent playing facilities for players of all standards and ages. With over 70 members, the club is one of the largest in the Bournemouth area and currently has 11 representative teams in the Bournemouth League from Division 5 up to the Premier and 1 team in the Poole League.There is also a healthy junior section, who meet between 5.30 and 7.30 pm on a Friday afternoon. I absolutely love kale. It’s packed with flavour and nutrients and it’s incredibly quick and easy to cook. Braising kale in beer and brown butter gives the finished dish a really nice nutty flavor and the quick method of cooking ensures that the kale retains its vibrant green colour. 1. First prepare the kale by washing it and then cutting out the stem. It is important to cut out the center stem because it can be tough and chewy. Once you have removed the stems, quickly shred the kale by rolling up the leaves into a cylinder and roughly slicing them. Set to one side. 2. In a large frying pan or sauté pan place two tablespoons of butter and cook on a medium heat until starting to turn a light brown colour. At this stage quickly add the beer and chicken stock and turn up the heat to high. Bring to the boil and then add the kale. 3. Cook the kale for approximately 3 minutes until most of the moisture has evaporated and the kale is nicely glazed. Add the chopped pecans and seasoning to taste. Transfer to a serving platter and sprinkle with the dried cranberries. Chef’s tip: Make sure that the liquid is boiling and the heat is on high before adding the kale, you don’t want to slow cook it because it can lose its vibrant green color if it is stewed for too long.

This can also be the case if the property is held in your or their sole name. This is because they may have a right to occupy the property.

Bournemouth University students running a Pirate Adventure afternoon for the Hadland Foundation Paul Reade from the Hadland Foundation says “We are very pleased that Chloe and her team have chosen to put on this fun event for us. We are a small charity and having an event organised by the students for the Foundation is a great help. I will be at the Adventure Day, suitably dressed up as a Pirate and really hope that many local families come down to support the students and enjoy a free, fun afternoon.” Five events students from Bournemouth University have organised a Pirate Adventure Day for the Hadland Foundation, a local charity that provides help to ‘families in need’.
The Pirate Adventure Day is one of a number of events that groups of Bournemouth University students will be organising for charities over the next six weeks.
The Pirate Adventure Day will be held on Saturday 25th April at 2.3pm – 5.30pm at the Stourvale Centre, Pokesdown.

In Dorset alone there are 57 murder mystery walks. The website to find these fantastic walks is www. treasuretrails.co.uk. which tells us… “A Treasure Trail is an imaginative way to explore towns, cities & villages across the UK with a self-guided themed walk. An easy to follow route will enable you to crack the clues whilst taking in some of the most fascinating sights along the way.” There are themed walks in Bournemouth, Poole, Corfe Castle, Dorchester, Christchurch, Wareham, Sandbanks, Sherborne, Piddle Village, practically anywhere you may wish to visit… and explore with a purpose to find “who did it” and “with what”? The answers are ficticious and are not based on actual events, nor fortunately are there any real bodies or deadly truncheons lying around. It is all harmless fun and very educational. You find out about local history, discover

interesting plaques and markings on walls, that you would otherwise walk straight passed. Not only that but you see sights and take pathways that you would just ignore, especially in an unknown town. It is perfect for children and adults alike. In fact some of the clues are a little tricky and even the most discerning adult may have to work quite hard to figure them out. So Nellie took us to Shaftesbury where we met many friends, all ready and eagerly awaiting to find, by process of elimination, who did it and with what? The website told me, “There are more roads radiating to and from Shaftesbury than any other town in Dorset. The town of Shaftesbury has been a place for travellers ever since it was founded in the 9th century by King Alfred the Great. The first part of this Trail is fairly flat and leads you to the spectacular views over the Blackmore Vale and Cranborne Chase. The second

part of the Trail takes you down Gold Hill, famous for that bread advert with the boy riding down the cobbles after pushing it up the hill with his basket full of bread. This is a Trail with some great historical features and some wonderful views. This Murder Mystery Trail should take about 2 1/2 hours to walk about 2 1/2 miles. There are a couple of very steep slopes to negotiate therefore this Trail is suitable for very light pushchairs but not for wheelchairs.” Well, we picked a perfect day… for a murder mystery tour… it was cool, drizzling and foggy! Nellie was glad she was with friends, and many of them at that, otherwise I think she would have been pretty scared. The atmosphere was befitting a Sherlock Holmes movie. I am serious! Of course we had to start in a café to build up our stamina for the 2.5 mile walk and mental pressure we were about to endure. Once we got started, it all got very serious with some running ahead to be the first to find the answer. Nellie has some very competitive friends! One clue up on the hill, overlooking what would have been

spectacular views, we just could not see because of the fog. We couldn’t believe it, but being the ‘spirit of play’ souls that we are, we turned this into a lot of fun. The precarious walk down the famous Gold Hill, set in this hazy ambience was rather exhilarating. We could have been characters in a Dickens novel following the route of an unsavoury type, determined to catch him. Anyway back to reality… we eventually found our way to the last clue. We did it! We unlocked the mystery! I have to say I was rather glad there were quite a lot of us, as some of the clues were pretty taxing, but that made it all the more exciting when we did find “who did it” and “with what”. Nellie highly recommends Treasure Trails. Do take a look at the website. You can download the clues, or have them sent in the post. We found another recently that is a ‘walk and a ride’ with clues… so Nellie is very excited about that as she really will be able to join in! Regent Centre Gala Fundraiser In aid of the New Toilets at the Centre With The Red Fez Orchestra in the Foyer at 7pm & Swing Unlimited Big Band in the Auditorium 8pm In the presence of the Mayor of Christchurch On: Friday 24 April Time: 7pm for 8pm Show Dress Code Black Tie Tickets: £25 Flushed with the success of the current refurbishment programme at the Regent Centre in Christchurch, which so far has included the new Circle Bar, the re-decoration of the Foyer and new sound and lighting facilities in the Auditorium, the Centre Management team have just announced a special Gala Fundraiser on Friday 24 April at 7pm for an 8pm show with all proceeds in aid of new toilets at the Regent.
Orchestra’, ‘Piccadilly Dance Orchestra’, Swing specialists ‘The Regular Joes’ and The Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. They all come together to create a great sounding, Fez wearing, Macassar Oil slicked Dance Band.
Tickets will be just £25 each for this Black Tie event and the evening will begin with a big Red Fez Orchestra welcome in the Foyer at 7pm with canapes and a glass of bubbly for patrons. This will be followed by the Swing Unlimited Big Band entertaining in the Auditorium at 8pm. There will also be a Raffle during the evening with some great prizes on offer to the lucky winners.
This will be followed at 8pm by Dorset’s ever popular Swing Unlimited Big Band, who will be getting everyone “In the Mood” in the Auditorium by entertaining with a selection of classic big band and swing standards. Their repertoire will be taken from across the decades of the Regent’s history from 1931, when the Centre first opened, to the present day. The Big Band will be opening up with some classic Count Basie numbers from the late Roaring 20s just as the plans for the Regent were being drawn up, before moving through the years with such unforgettable big band themes as: Thanks for the Memory (1938), Pennsylvania 6-5000 (1940), Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy (1941), Fever (1956) The Batman TV Theme (1966), Live & Let Die ( 1973), Back to the Future Overture (1985) the theme from Frasier (1993) Uptown Funk (2014/5) and many more.
The Red Fez Orchestra plays the music of the 1920s and 30s, a golden era of Jazz & Art Deco style which produced some of the world’s greatest dance bands and introduced the era of the ‘Flappers’ and their iconic dance crazes – The Charleston & Black Bottom.
There will also be a chance during the evening to see some of the Archive photos taken from the Regent’s 84 year history and featuring the life and times of the Centre over the years. These will be in the form of a slide show on a screen behind the Swing Unlimited Big Band in the Auditorium.
They will be playing music from some of the great composers of that time such as George Gershwin, Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, Hoagy Carmichael, Jerome Kern and featuring such well-known songs as The Charleston, Cheek to Cheek, Anything Goes, Putting On The Ritz, The Continental, Pennies From Heaven, Mean To Me, Black Bottom, They Can’t Take That Away from Me, Home in Pasadena, The Sheik of Araby and many, many more.
Work on the new toilets at the Regent will begin during 2015 and represents the exciting next phase in the current refurbishment programme at the Centre. Flushed with the success of the renovations so far, the Management are aiming high and the new loos at the Regent promise to be the best in Christchurch! It is interesting to think that when the Regent was built in 1931, indoor toilets were still a luxurious rarity with many houses still only having an outdoor privy to retreat to! Gardening Tips

PLOT
April showers to October fun Now is the time for April showers and with the weather warming up all the time and some gentle rain you’ll soon be seeing lots of changes on your veggie plot. Its wonderful to see the first fresh, local, asparagus appear for sale this month and if you’ve a bit of space spare on your plot now’s the time to plant this gourmet crop. Buy one year old crowns and plant them immediately into well drained soil. You should be able to take a small harvest next year and they’ll carry on cropping for up to 20 years! Jobs for April:Keep an eye out for late frosts and cover any vulnerable plants. Harden off indoor sowings before planting out. Start off French beans and Brussels Sprouts under cover. Fancy something a bit more exotic? Try growing some peppers and aubergines - sow this month in a greenhouse or polytunnel. Plant an asparagus bed. Earth up potatoes once the first shoots appear.
It’s a time when any indoor space, be it greenhouse, cold frame, or just window sills, is likely to be filling rapidly with young seedlings. If you are thinking of planting some of your seedlings out then don’t forget to harden them off first. You can move the pots outside each morning, bringing them in at night to gradually acclimatise them to the change. Do remember too that late frosts can still happen in April, damaging plants that are unprotected. Watch the weather forecast and if there’s any danger of frost then use fleece or cloches to protect plants where necessary. On the subject of cloches, save any empty plastic bottles that you may have. Cut the bottom off and you are left with a wonderful mini cloche to protect seedlings that are recently planted out. Push the plastic down into the soil firmly and it will keep off not only some of the chill but also any slugs that may have their eye on tasty young leaves. Are you a fan of Halloween? Pumpkins can be quite expensive come the end of October and then there’s always the hunt for one just the right size. Why not have a go at growing one (or several!) of your own this year? Pumpkins need a long, growing season to ripen well so now is the time to start them off. There’s lots of different varieties, including some
giant ones if you want something really impressive to carve. Look out on the packets for ones that are early ripening for the best chances of success. Pumpkin seeds are huge so it’s easy to sow just one to each pot. I’d sow at least 3 plants, if they all germinate and mature it’ll probably be more than you need (they can take a lot of room as they grow) but it’s better to have spare in case you loose some early on - if they all grow well you can always pass one on to a friend or neighbour and have a competition to see who gets the biggest pumpkin! You’ll need to keep your young plant inside until all risk of frost has passed. When it comes time to plant the pumpkin out it will like lots of nutrients in the soil. Dig out a large hole and put in lots of well rotted compost - or you can even plant your pumpkin straight on top of an old compost heap. They’ll bloom with wonderfully exotic looking, huge yellow flowers and it’s wise to consider removing the growing tip once three fruit have set as this will give a better chance for larger, riper, pumpkins. Support the growing fruits on a bed of straw to avoid them dropping off or becoming mushy. Are you enjoying purple spouting broccoli at the moment? You can buy summer varieties to plant now, or try Calbrese (this has the green heads) which is best planted straight into the beds where they will grow.

LEWIS Debt For those with existing debts there are record deals available right now to let you cut the cost and save £100s or £1,000s. Yet as the old adage goes, banks are companies that’d lend you an umbrella when the sun shines and ask for it back when it rains. So getting cheaper credit when in debt is tricky – however I have developed credit card eligibility checkers which can help you check what debt cutting cards you’re able to get before you apply. If you can lower the interest cost, then more of your repayment clears the actual debt, not just services the interest – meaning you’ll be debt-free far quicker. So here are the key debt cost cutting need to knows… I make no apology for saying…. stop borrowing. If you're struggling, borrowing to make ends meet just elongates the problem - making it even costlier and more difficult. The tips below will help, but if you keep adding to the debt nothing will fix it. So take a deep breath, do a budget and examine all your spending to see if you can cut back. Best buys are only best if you can get them. While there are many great rates on offer, you need to pass a credit score to get them, and many fail at that hurdle. Worse still when you apply it leaves a footprint on your file and lots of those in a short space of time can hit your future credit worthiness. I've given evidence to Parliament on this 'anti-shopping around' system - little's been done. So to fight back on my site we’ve built a free eligibility calculator – which tells you which cards you’re most likely to be accepted for. Just as importantly it does this without leaving a footprint on your file that lenders can see – so you can home in on the right one, minimising applications. To try it go to www.MoneySavingExpert.com/eligibility. Shift credit or store card debt to 35mth 0%. A balance transfer’s where you get a new credit card that repays debts on the old credit or store card(s) for you, so you owe it instead at a lower rate. The longest 0% deals for those new to the card company now last nearly three years (a year ago they were 30 months), but as with many things in life longest isn't always best. Aim for the lowest fee card, ensuring you've enough time to clear it. Top picks and golden rules at www.mse.me/ balancetransfers. Shift your overdraft to 0% too. Debit cards can be debt cards too - if you're in your overdraft it's often more costly than credit cards, especially if you bust your limit. So there are two ways to get out of this. a) Switch to a 0% overdraft: Top bank for customer service www.firstdirect.com offers a £250 0% overdraft (you
must pay-in £1,000/month) and for accepted new switchers a free £100 - which should help reduce the overdraft straight away. For some www.nationwide.co.uk 0% overdraft may be bigger, but it's only for a year and is 50p/day after. b) Shift it to a 0% 'money transfer' credit card. A few balance transfer cards also let newbies 'money transfer'. This is where it pays a lump sum into your bank account, which can then clear your overdraft so you owe it instead. Top pick is www.mbna.co.uk which gives 24 months 0% money transfers for a one off 2.2% fee (though it's 22.9% rep APR after the 0% ends). Yet be careful, follow the balance transfer rules above and for more picks and full step-by-step help see www.mse.me/moneytransfers. Can you cut the cost of existing loans? It's complex, as you need to factor in that most loans charge up to two months' interest to repay them early. - Who should try? Those who can get a substantially lower APR loan (eg, more than a fifth off, so from 10% to 8%), and have a while left to repay. Full options in www.mse.me/ cheaploans. - How much can I save? Someone who is 2 years through a 5 year 12% loan for £5,000, paying it off with a 4.9% loan, could save around £1,000. Don't pay all debts equally - attack the highest APR. Once your debts are as cheap as possible, list them all, including overdrafts, in order of APRs. Focus all spare cash to clear the highest APR one as it grows fastest, and just pay the min on the others. Once that's clear, move to the next highest. I've never seen a debt crisis that isn't solvable - don't give up hope. The solutions above are for cutting debt costs. Yet for some, it's much worse than that. Do any of these apply to you... - You can't meet even just the minimum monthly payments. - You have non-mortgage debts bigger than a year's salary. - You have sleepless nights or serious depression/anxiety over your debts. If so then you're likely in a debt crisis and that means the solution you need is totally different. The most important thing I can tell you is I've never seen a debt crisis that isn't solvable. It may not always be quick or easy, but there is a proverbial light at the end of the tunnel. The first step is to go for free, one-on-one debt counselling help from www.adviceguide.org.uk, www.stepchange.org, www.nationaldebtline.org or, if you're struggling emotionally too www.capuk.org.

New Forest Gluten Free Clandestine Cake Club
came about as I found with the New Forest Clandestine Cake Club that I had some members who are Coeliacs and found it unfair that they could only try 1 or 2 cakes at each gathering as apposed to 10 in total! As a Coeliac you cannot eat anything which has been ‘contaminated’ by gluten. There are some people who are very strict Coeliacs and others who can allow some leniencies in their habit and lifestyle. A little history of the Clandestine Cake Club is that the founder is Lynn Hill who set up CCC in her hometown of Leeds, in 2010.
When I set up the New Forest Group there were just around 75 clubs in the UK. Now the Club has grown considerably, helped by the Great British Bake Off and other such programmes, and is also International now too. Check out the CCC website for more details: www.clandestinecakeclub.co.uk The way we work: All the Organisers arrange the venues in their own time. They are not paid for this and it isn’t a business either, as they do it because they love cake and love organising and socialising! For the gatherings, the organisers advise of the forthcoming events by adding the details onto the CCC website (I also send a newsletter type email out to all my members directly them to the website for more information) with a brief description of the venue town and the theme. The members then confirm their cake choice and attendance and then a few days prior to the gathering, the Organiser advises of the actual venue details. Where possible we do not pay for the venue and are able to give the venue publicity by adding details about them on the CCC website. I have been running the New Forest Clandestine Cake Club for near enough 3 years (May 2015) and in September 2014 I launched the first-ever Gluten Free Clandestine Cake Club! Do you know a Coeliac or someone, like me who is wheat intolerant? If so, please do get in touch and visit our second gathering on 30th April 2015 (gathering venue is on the outskirts of the Lymington area!). Also, please watch out for the launch of the second CCC recipe book in the Autumn of 2015. The first book was launched in 2012. CCC is worldwide! The Moto of Cake Club is: Bake, Eat and Talk about cake. We gather in secret locations. Interaction and conversation begins when you cut the first slice.
