The Power of Tourism Welcome back to Langlade County
By Deena Grabowsky, Executive Director, Antigo/Langlade County Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center After a year, when a global pandemic caused many travelers to change or delay their plans, tourists are more ready than ever to begin exploring and vacationing. In Langlade County, the Antigo/ Langlade County Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center staff is excited to welcome visitors back to our community to enjoy our outdoor recreation, unique shopping, superb dining, and inviting lodging establishments.
Some popular outdoor activities include fishing on one of our 841 natural lakes, hunting in over 130,000 acres of public land, whitewater rafting and kayaking, snowmobiling, ATVing, cross-country skiing, and biking. According to the state Department of Tourism, outdoor recreation was a top driver of travel statewide in 2020 and is slated to draw visitors to Langlade County and throughout Wisconsin as post-pandemic travel increases.
Langlade County has many adventurous outdoor activities that draw people to the area year-round.

Throughout the year, thousands of visitors come to the area to attend festivals, watch parades, run and ride in races, and participate in other fun events. Visitors and tourists are essential to Langlade County’s overall economy. The county benefits in many ways from these visitors, including increasing tax revenue, leaving a measurable economic impact, and increasing the quality of life for our residents.
