Hey friends! Have you ever felt like you need to be super famous or do something huge to make a difference for God? Newsflash: you don’t! You can shine for Christ right where you are, every day!
The Bible says, “Let your light shine before others, so they may see your good works and give praise to your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:16).
HERE IS HOW YOU CAN BE A LIGHT:
1. Be kind: Share toys, help a friend, or say “I’m sorry” when needed.
2. Pray for others: Ask God to help your friends, family, and even people you don’t know.
3. Tell others about God: Share a Bible verse or a cool thing God did for you.
4. Obey God’s Word: Read the Bible daily and do what it says (like being honest or respectful).
5. Smile and be joyful: Show others God’s love through your attitude.
MY SHINE MOMENT:
My neighbor and schoolmate's family were going through a lot and my family would help out. They had to move so I asked my dad for us to take her to the park, then we went to McDonald's and came back to our home and watched a children's movie. My dad saw her dad, and he said she's asking to come visit as she never forgot how nice we were to her.

I am also letting my light shine by lifting up Jesus as Editor in training as I share God's Word.
You too can think of a time you let your light shine, or you can let your light shine anywhere you are for God's Glory.
Prayer: “Dear God, help me shine Your light today! Amen.” You’re a sparkler in the dark!
P.S.

Did you Know Moses had a speech problem and felt he could not shine for God but he did?

Hello boys and girls, I trust all is well with you all and that you're going over your memory verses. I'm trying to keep up with the new ones I'm learning.
Today's memory verse is:
1 Timothy 4:12 which says:
“Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”
If you read the entire chapter Paul is encouraging Timothy to lead with confidence and to live a life that inspires others in their speech, to let their words reflect God's truth and grace, to let their actions show love, faith and purity which reflects God's character. It's telling us even though we're young we could be an example to others.
Timothy was a young man who was shy and was dealing with falseness in others and so he was being encouraged to be bold and to stand up for what is right and God's truth not false teachings but to also be humble and loving.
He was also encouraged to continue to follow the Godly way his mother and grandmother were leading him in. We too can do the same and be examples to our classmates and friends. We could let them know what is wrong and not be a part of it. We could stand up for those who are shy and being bullied by their buddy.
How we can help:-
1. We could stand up for them by talking about it with them or with parents and teachers:
2. Focus on strengths: What is your friend good at? Sports, art, music?
3. Practice self-care: Exercise, journaling, or chill time with friends.
4. Let them know it’s not their fault: Bullying says more about the bully.
5.You can also support them by listening and hearing them out and reminding them of their strengths and worth.
Let them know their worth is rooted in God’s love (Psalm 139:13-14), Romans 8:28).
I know it will work as my friend and I were able to help a friend who was always being bullied and he's doing so much better now. So, you can do it too!
Let's remember David, he helped his entire country when they were being bullied by Goliath and he did it when he was just a young boy.

Feelings are loud.
They demand attention.
They feel convincing.
BUT FEELINGS ARE NOT TRUTH.
They are indicators, not leaders. Trusting God often means choosing Him against what you feel.
FEELINGS ARE REAL THEY’RE JUST NOT RELIABLE
God never tells us to deny emotions. He tells us not to be ruled by them. David felt fear and still trusted. Jesus felt anguish and still obeyed.
FAITH HAS ALWAYS COEXISTED WITH DISCOMFORT.
If trust required good feelings, faith would be unnecessary. Trust Is a Decision Before It’s a Feeling
Trust is not emotional confidence. It’s relational commitment. You trust God because of who He is, not because today feels peaceful. You obey because He’s faithful, not because the outcome looks safe.
MATURITY SHOWS UP WHEN OBEDIENCE STAYS STEADY WHILE EMOTIONS FLUCTUATE.
Feelings Ask “Why?” Faith Says “Even If”
Feelings want explanations.
Faith anchors in character.
Even if I don’t understand. Even if I’m tired. Even if this hurts. Trust says: God is still good. God is still leading. God is still present.
GOD IS NOT OFFENDED BY YOUR FEELINGS BUT HE WON’T BE LED BY THEM
You can bring God every emotion. Fear. Anger. Doubt. Confusion. But you don’t hand Him the steering wheel. Prayer is not dumping feelings and stopping there. Prayer is submitting feelings under truth.
PEACE FOLLOWS TRUST IT DOESN’T PRECEDE IT
Many people wait to feel peace before they obey. Scripture shows peace comes after surrender.
Trust first.
Peace later. That order matters.
Closing Truth
Trusting God despite how you feel is not weakness. It’s spiritual strength. It’s saying:
“My emotions get a voice but God gets the final word.”
FOCUS: AWARENESS
Scripture: Proverbs 3:5–6
Action: Write down where your feelings and your faith don’t match right now.
REFLECTION:
What am I trusting my emotions to decide that God already addressed?
DAY 2 — SURRENDER CONTROL
FOCUS: RELEASE
Scripture: Psalm 55:22
Action: Pray a one-sentence surrender prayer. Say it out loud.
REFLECTION:
What am I still holding because I fear the outcome?
DAY 3 OBEY WITHOUT ASSURANCE
FOCUS: OBEDIENCE
Scripture: John 14:15
Action: Do one thing God has already told you to do—no delay, no debate.
REFLECTION:
Where have I been waiting to feel ready instead of choosing obedience?
DAY 4 — REPLACE THE NARRATIVE
FOCUS: RENEWAL
Scripture: Romans 12:2
Action: Identify one recurring negative thought. Replace it with a written truth from Scripture.
REFLECTION:
Whose voice has been shaping my inner dialogue?
FOCUS: CONSISTENCY
Scripture: Galatians 6:9
Action: Stay faithful in a place you feel tired of—prayer, serving, believing.
REFLECTION:
What would faithfulness look like if my feelings were removed from the equation?
FOCUS: LOVE IN ACTION
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 13:7
Action: Show love intentionally without emotion backing it up.
REFLECTION:
Do I treat love as a feeling or a decision?
FOCUS: ALIGNMENT
Scripture: Isaiah 26:3
Action: Write and speak a personal declaration of trust for this season.
REFLECTION:
What has shifted in me after choosing faith over feelings this week?

BLACK HISTORY MONTH: FAITH, COURAGE, AND THE POWER TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Black History Month is a special time to learn about people who stood strong, trusted God, and helped change the world. These men and women faced unfair rules, hard times, and unkind treatment—but they did not give up. They believed that God created everyone with value and purpose.
Many leaders in Black history showed great courage. Courage means doing what is right even when it feels scary. They spoke up when others were silent. They kept going when things were hard. Most of all, they trusted God to help them through every challenge.
One well-known leader is Martin Luther King Jr.. He taught people to love one another, even when others were unkind. He believed that hate could never fix problems—only love and fairness could. Dr. King’s faith in God helped him stay peaceful, brave, and hopeful.
But Black history is not only about famous people. It is also about parents, teachers, pastors, inventors, artists, and everyday heroes who trusted God and kept moving forward. Many prayed, worked hard, and believed that God had a plan for their lives and for future generations.
Black History Month reminds us that God uses people of all ages to make a difference. You don’t have to wait until you grow up to live with courage. You can choose kindness. You can stand up for what is right. You can treat everyone with respect. When you do these things, you honor God and continue the legacy of faith and courage.
Bible Connection:
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” — Ephesians 2:10
Think About It:
How can you show courage at school or at home? How can you show love when it’s not easy?
God has a purpose for you just like He did for those we honor during Black History Month. Your story matters, and God can use you to make a difference too.

CALEB WAS A TRUE SUPERSTAR—NOT BECAUSE HE WAS FAMOUS, BUT BECAUSE HE TRUSTED GOD NO MATTER WHAT.
Caleb was a true superstar in the Bible—not because he was the strongest or most popular, but because he trusted God with his whole heart.
Caleb lived during a time when God promised the Israelites a beautiful new land called the Promised Land. Moses chose twelve men to explore this land and bring back a report. Caleb was one of them. When the spies returned, most of them were afraid. They talked about the giants, the strong cities, and the problems they saw. Their fear spread to the people.
BUT CALEB WAS DIFFERENT.
Instead of focusing on the problems, Caleb focused on God’s promise. He believed that if God said the land was theirs, then God would help them take it. Caleb spoke with courage and confidence, even when no one else agreed with him.
Because the people listened to fear instead of faith, they had to wait many years before entering the Promised Land. During all that time, Caleb stayed faithful. He trusted God while waiting. He did not complain or give up. He believed God would keep His promise.
Years later, when Caleb was much older, God rewarded him. Even in his old age, Caleb was still strong and brave. He asked for the land God promised him and was ready to fight for it. God honored Caleb because he followed Him completely.
Caleb teaches us important lessons:
Trust God, even when others are afraid Don’t follow the crowd if the crowd is wrong God sees faithfulness, even when it takes time
Caleb shows us that age doesn’t limit courage and that waiting doesn’t cancel God’s promise.
BIBLE VERSE:
“But my servant Caleb has a different spirit and follows me wholeheartedly.” — Numbers 14:24
THINK ABOUT IT:
Will you trust God even when others doubt?
Will you stay faithful while you wait?
When you choose faith over fear, you shine—just like Caleb.
1. PARENTS ARE A GIFT FROM GOD
God gives us parents and caregivers to guide us, protect us, and love us. They help meet our needs and keep us safe every day.
2. PARENTS HELP US GROW
Loving parents teach us right from wrong. Even when they correct us or say “no,” they are helping us make wise choices.
3. PARENTS SHOW LOVE IN MANY WAYS
Parents show love through hugs, encouragement, prayer, care, and spending time with us. God often uses parents to show His love.
4. BEING THANKFUL HONORS GOD
When we thank our parents, listen, and obey, we show respect and gratitude. This pleases God and help our hearts grow thankful.
5. Parents Are Not Perfect, but God Still Uses Them
Parents make mistakes, but God works through them to help us learn, grow, and become better each day. Bible Verse:
“Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.” — Ephesians 6:1
Think About It:
What is one way you can show thankfulness to your parents today?
Being thankful helps us show love—to our parents and to God.
Money is something we use every day. Even as kids, learning how to use money wisely is important. God cares about how we handle what He gives us—big or small.
1. MONEY IS A GIFT FROM GOD
Everything we have comes from God. When we remember that, we learn to be thankful instead of greedy. James 1:17
2. SAVE A LITTLE
Saving helps us prepare for the future. You don’t have to save a lot—just be consistent. Proverbs 21:20
3. GIVE WITH A HAPPY HEART
Giving helps others and pleases God. We give because God first gave to us. 2 Corinthians 9:7

4. SPEND WISELY
Before buying something, ask: Do I really need this? Am I using my money wisely? Luke 16:10
5. LOVE GOD MORE THAN MONEY
Money is useful—but it should never be more important than God. God comes first. Matthew 6:21
