DIRECTOR OF SPORT
As we begin the summer term and welcome everyone back to school, it is a great opportunity to reflect on the continued success of our sporting programme Our pupils have shown excellent commitment and enthusiasm across a wide range of sports, demonstrating not only their skills but also a strong sense of teamwork and school spirit. This ongoing participation is something we are extremely proud of.
I would like to thank all pupils, staff, and supporters for their continued efforts and encouragement. Your dedication plays a vital role in maintaining such a positive and thriving sporting environment.
We now look forward to the summer term ahead with great anticipation. There are many exciting opportunities on the horizon, and we hope for plenty of sunshine to accompany another fantastic season of sport.

PUPIL SUCCESS
Hockey Senior 7s
Congratulations to the 1st XI Hockey squad winner of the
Morrison’s 7's. They had three wins in the pool stage: High School of Dundee, The Glasgow Academy and St Aloysius. They won 1-0 in the final against Strathallan.
Robbie (Form VI) | Ultra Marathon
Robbie, one of our ‘Talented Athlete Programme’ pupils, ran just shy of 57km in 8 hours at an ultra-marathon! Robbie is an international athlete in climbing who has worked hard returning from injury and an operation – well done Robbie!
Form II Hockey Squad
Well done to the Form II Hockey squad, who won the annual Dollar Academy Form II Hockey Tournament for the first time!
Ruaridh (Form V) | Rugby
Well done to Ruaridh, who recently started on the wing for the Scotland U18 squad - scoring a try in the first half! He has also recently been selected to the Scotland squad for the U18 Six Nations Festival.
U18 Basketball Squad
Well done to our U18 Basketball squad who secured an impressive 59-39 victory over Robert Gordons in the SISBA Quarter Final.

Girls’ Football
Our Girls’ Football squad had a great result against Fettes College, winning 7-0 - Well done!
Finn, Olly, Hamish, Finlay, Josh & Aaron (Form IV)
Well done to Finn, Olly, Hamish, Finlay, Josh and Aaron (Form IV),
who have been selected for the Glasgow Warriors U16s squad after
a couple of fantastic performances representing Caledonia U16s!
Form III Midland Hockey Win
Congratulations to the Form 3A Hockey squad, who were the winners of the Midland Knock Out cup! They won 5-2 in an exciting
final against Strathallan!
Anna (Form III) | Tennis
Congratulations to Anna, who was selected to represent the U18
North of Scotland County Cup Tennis squad! Anna won all her ennis
matches. North of Scotland played Oxfordshire, Derbyshire and
Gloucestershire and finished in top place, earning promotion to a
higher group for next year.
Jet (Form II) | Swimming
Congratulations to Jet, who qualified for the Scottish Nationals for swimming! They took place in Aberdeen during the Easter break.

Equestrian Success
Huge congratulations to the Dollar Equestrians who competed very
successfully at the NSEA Regional Grassroots qualifiers on Saturday
14 March, and at the Scottish Schools Competition on Sunday 15
March!
Murrin (Form II) | Weightlifting
Congratulations to Murrin, who competed in the Scottish Schools
Championships on 8 March!
She placed first in the U15 female <63kg class and set new Scottish
U14 records for Snatch (32kg), Clean and Jerk (42kg) and Totals (74kg), adding a +2kg PB to both her lifts.
Magnus (Form III) | Swimming
Magnus (Form III) won the James Graham Memorial Cup for the
u16’s 1,500m Freestyle at the Midlands District Swimming
Championship in Dundee – an outstanding performance.

Yannick (Form III) | Basketball
Well done to Yannick, who was at UHI Perth training for the National
Academy with the U18 squad!

Darcy & Adam (Prep 4) | Tennis
Congratulations to Darcy and Adam, who represented North of
Scotland Tennis in the U9 Country Cup in Aberdeen! The girls
placed 2 , and the boys placed 4 . Well done! nd th
Prep 4 & 5 Cross Country
Well done to the 92 runners that took part in the annual Prep 4 & 5
Cross Country Championships.

FP vs 1 XI Hockey Match st
It was wonderful to host the first Former Pupil v 1st XI hockey match
at the end of last term! It was great to see a number of players from
our recent Scottish Cup-winning teams as well as FPs from 1983,
1999 and 2002. In a very competitive match, the 1st XI triumphed 3-
2 to be the first name on the trophy. We look forward to hosting the
FP match again next year!
Rugby and Hockey Tournaments
We welcomed 450 pupils on Monday 16 March for our annual
Hockey and Rugby festivals. Well done to all the players involved.
PUPIL SUCCESS
Scottish Inter-District Tennis
Seven Dollar pupils represented Central Scotland at the annual
Scottish Inter-District Tennis Event at Strathallan School last week.
After a demanding week of competition, the team produced a strong
collective performance, showing great determination and quality
throughout. Central Scotland finished third in each group stage and sixth overall.
Well done to Cameron (Junior 2), Daniel (Form I), Anna (Form III),
Gregory (Form III), Eilidh (Form III), Holly (Form V) and Rory (Form V)!
Aquathon
Well done to everyone who participated in the Scottish Schools
